This is a very strange place. The vibe is way off. I stayed for 2 weeks and that was 2 weeks too long. The staff are not friendly or helpful. And they use THE RULES as a means to justify their behavior. They will literally yell at you. I have no idea who these people think they are. Don't waste your hard earned money with people like this. Day One: Huge ant infestation. Spent the next several days exterminating. Not fun. Much of the sites are not well kept. Way out of level. I had requested an open sky for my Starlink connection. It seems like they gave me the only spot with tree cover. There are dozens of other vacant spots with an open view. Weird but okay... They will not accept packages. So, don't bother ordering anything unless you can pickup at a nearby locker. My packages got accepted by mistake, and I got scolded when picking them up. This is crazy! One day a distraught camper with tears running down her face approached me while I was outside my rig. Turns out her dog died and she needed help moving the body. Maintenance told her they couldn't help because of THE RULES. I, of course, helped her move the body to her car. Inhumane... read more

My wife and I stayed here for a week in our 5th wheel. It does set in an odd place. Surrounded by houses and condo's. First let me say that if your rig is 36ft or bigger you will have a very nice spot. All paved with the RV site concrete and level. Full hookups right there. NICE!! For the rest of the campground it is not as nice. All of the sites for bigger rigs are easy to navigate, clean and open for satelitte dishes etc. A little high price, but then again, all of the RV campgrounds are getting expensive. read more

I made an reservation to stay for a month and then my contracts changed and I needed to leave after 1 night. The park was understanding about this. The check-in process was smooth and friendly. I wish I could have stayed longer than 1 night. read more

We love this place. We came here last year and returned this week. This park is not for folks who need a pool and other events. It has full hookups and nice-sized space for big and small RVs. The new bathrooms are private and clean, which is a big plus. They also have old-style restrooms. The laundry room is nice. If you need a quiet place to unwind, this is the place for you. It is just the two of us & we have never used RV play areas. We use the parks to rest and as a base to explore the area. If you have kids, you may feel differently. The park is priced right. They no longer have cable. We use an over-the-air antenna. We stay here a couple of times a year. read more

I have stayed at numerous long term camping and have had pretty good experiences. Not so with this place. The electric box kept tripping the breaker and had to be replaced. Took a week. The site did not fit my trailer and if you walked straight out the door you fell down a hill. The bathrooms were constantly nasty. Lots of trash and cigarette butts around. Worst was the constant lies from the owner about long term procedures. I was told various things, but mostly when I left after 1 year, per policy, that I was going to be able to come back in 2 weeks. As soon as you leave you have to wait 48 hrs to contact them for some reason. I did and then was told they had nothing available for months. Very frustrating and cost me a bunch of money. Bad owners and dishonest is a bad combination. read more

Sadly, this RV Park was absolutely horrendous. I gave it one star only because a zero star wasn't there. The staff was rude at check in (especially the man who I assume was the maintenance guy) and the site assigned was horrible! When requesting an alternative I was given another site which was worse, even though the RV Park was half empty. I was charged for being 30 minutes early for checkin and informed they no longer accepted Good Sam consideration. I was strongly informed that no refunds were given. After my failure to get satisfactory changes, we left after obtaining a reservation at another and much friendlier campground. This Park isn't worth the money or hassle. Beware. read more

To all our RVing friends. Every now and again, you chance upon a park that looked good from the management's "Chamber of Commerce" description, but then your very first dealings cause you to say "hell no" to staying there. NOW we know why they have a policy of no refunds, even hours after the reservation is made. They want to impose stupid fees like "you're 45 minutes too early, and no, you can't wait outside the park for 45 minutes." There's also a fee if you're too late. Cancel if you want but no refunds. Was able to get a last minute spot for three days when no where else was available. Staff was very friendly and space I was assigned was good. Two bathhouses the newer one has single rooms that lock. Water pressure was lacking and have a bench to sit on would be nice. Daughter and granddaughter came to visit one day and park had know issues or surcharges. read more

It was Caitlyn's excellent customer service us what won our decision to stay here over the other parks in the area . She was so polite, cheerful, helpful and accommodating... which is a lot more than I can say about her supervisor. After we made 3 day in advance reservations and settled in the first day our greetings from the park manager, Emily, were literally "I would not have rented the space to you bc your hitched car/trailer is too long (28')" and then she made excuses of "clearances" (it clears lower than our rig at 13') and was no closer to our site than the already sardine-like packed house. She said it could be a hazard for safety or rescue vehicles to get in and save lives (it was parked in a designated concrete parking spot, not looming in front of our door or any others, for that matter). On the contrary, there's several acres of unoccupied land on the site where new construction will eventually take place... plenty enough for 100 extra storage of trailers 30' long or more on an actual concrete parking lot adjacent to the sardine packed lots. There's plenty of room. Then she proceeded to berate the sweet Caitlyn, who's lovely sales pitch and soft personality sold me the park in the first place. I told her that she should be so lucky to have such a well mannered and happy employee, and to please not reprimand her for permitting our stay. Emily literally made me feel completely unwanted and scolded me like a nagging mother, when I had done nothing wrong or deliberate to deceive the park rules... it was no where in the booklet that a car carrier/trailer was not permitted. In fact, others have smaller trailers right on their site!!! After 3-4 times of her repeating herself, I stopped her saying, "it sounds like we are getting off on the wrong track" of which she agreed bc the conversation started to get heated. I was simply asking for a solution and she continued scolding me when it was not clear where we were supposed to park in the first place... repeatedly telling me what I "can not do." I did let them know we had a 28' pull behind trailer that contained our vehicles during the reservation. There's clearly a control issue, or she doesn't train her staff well. A normal response would have been, "Mrs. Webster-Andrews, I hate to bother you since your already nicely settled. I'm sorry that we need to ask you to move your enclosed trailer to a different location on the lot... I'll tell you where we can accommodate you. Please let me know when it's a good time to do this today! Thank you! " I met other lovely park campers (active couples in their 40's) with fur baby fever just as we have. The park itself is tight and jammed packed, but kept clean and tidy. The surrounding neighborhood is upscale, which is surprising for a campground area. I was able to enjoy the local area of Ballentyne, NC and go to my regular workouts at OrangeTheory, eat healthy foods in the area and still be in a campsite! How cool! Although we were excited to park on a concrete pad, we are located at the bottom of a graded hill were there was waterline repair being conducted during our stay... so are were the unhappy recipients of a river of rich red clay/dirt flooding our site (driveway, grass, rocks) so now our white Jeep is covered in red clay, Harley is a mess, and our rig as well as our shoes, interior floors and all our fur babies feet... tracked into our bed... . It is a nightmare wiping ever paw and piling dirty shoes on the front steps and constant sweeping. We don't normally choose dirt or gravel locations for this very reason. To rectify the situation the supervisor sent their maintenance crew the next day to spray down my mats and the 1/2 thick mud pile at my door. Maintenance was pretty friendly. The site was nice, but I stood in a hidden red ant pile on the hot gray gravel in flip flops while taking my pups potty at the backside of my RV... it was misery for the moment and left me with nearly 20 bites. Additionally, the park also has a bike path that runs along the creak, it was a nice ride to free our DANE puppy so she could run a bit unrestricted. We saw plenty of dear! The dog park was nice and clean. Only one silver hair was more concerned about preaching rules to me at the dog potty (where she was with her foaming 150 lb dog and Chihuahua) that she didn't concern herself with neighborly conduct like a reaction to control her dog so we could enter. Instead of her pulling her unruly dogs together to allow us in the gate, she berated me for letting my big dogs off the leash outside the fence so they could potty bc she wouldn't permit is to enter. It was just plain rude. Overall, I would have given the site a 5 star rating, but these two incidences made us feel completely uncomfortable... and we'd likely consider going to the nearby KOA (with all the accommodations) instead. read more

Loud park with motorcycle revving, domestic fighting with repeated yelling and slamming doors and worst of all- when you request a move to better safeguard your family and belongings... you will BE DENIED a move. Their policy is once your in a spot the only reason you are allowed to move is that if it is due to a maintenance need for the park. Office staff are not friendly and this company does not appear to care about customer service. Bottom line: if they can find a way to fee anything they will. With all the fees and constant changes in raising prices you would at least think the bathroom would be clean and you could do laundry without having dog hair deposited onto your clothing. However, they are taking advantage of the fact there are limited monthly RV parks in the Fort Mill/Rock Hill/Tega Cay SC and Charlotte NC area. So, I imagine they feel they can treat people how they want without recourse. read more

NO. How this place gets 4 stars is beyond me. It's incredibly hard to get to from the highway. It's also in the middle of this housing subdivision. The air smells like cigarette smoke. It's a little tight for pulling in with a big rig. The internet doesn't work. My att service here is only 2 bars. Oh well Coming in these folks knew I was staying 3 weeks. They call today to tell me I will have to move because they scheduled someone to come to my spot. There are 3 open spots the same size. They also won't take a delivery or tell the delivery person where to deliver. They don't hold it for you they have it returned. This is not a place to stay for a couple of weeks. Misinformation throughout the reservation process. I booked a two night stay and asked about the cancellation policy as we are a military family and plans change. I was informed that we would forfeit the cost of one night. Seemed fair enough. When I received my receipt email, I noticed the words non-refundable. I assumed that it meant the first night was non-refundable. I look at the website and saw the cancellation policy and it appeared to reflect my conversation. I even called a week later to reconfirm the cancellation policy. I was told again, the first night was the only non-refundable night. As it happens, plans did have to change and when I called to cancel the reservation I was told that the entire reservation was non refundable because it was Easter week. At no point during the reservation process was I informed about this policy, nor was I no informed that Easter week was an event week. Nowhere on the website is it indicated what is an event week. While the park may be adequate, the lack of consistent information and the misinformation is not okay. read more

Lived there for a few years, starting in 2014 and with the attitude of their management, left like quite a few other long termers. Seemed like they were preferring short timers and those just heading through more than those long termers. They are close to a lot of attractions and Charlotte but not worth the hassle in MY opinion. I do know I would never recommend them and don't know any long termer forced out who would. Good for those who would be there just going through and not mind another RV being way too close for comfort. And there was always a problem with them seeming to have to shut off the water for repairs instead of fixing it correctly in the first place. And when I was there, there was little to no security. One thing I can say......some of the long termers I met and they (crown cove management) forced out, are some of my best friends. When they left, not long after, we started feeling the pressure to leave......Not interested in ever going back. read more

There is the KOA and this campground in this location. Crown cove definitely has it right! The girls that work in the office are incredible! It's privately owned and you can tell! Very welcoming! Beautiful sites, nice and shaded, and very quiet! Perfect place to hang out. If you have kids the KOA would probably be better for them, but warning, they are lacking in maintenance and hospitality. read more

The park is very clean and I found our location to be nice. The bathhouse is well situated and clean. I find it to be very quiet. Everyone we have met has been very nice. There are several dogs here and they are all quiet. I really like the place. Our internet and cable are fitting our needs. We are next to one of the roads and have no complaints about the traffic or noise. I love it here. I am very comfortable with my daughter residing here. Would recommend it to everyone who camps. This is such a oasis of trees and serenity hidden here among all of the housing nearby. The restaurant selection is awesome and we will visit our daughter again to enjoy all this facility has to offer. read more

Couldn't get satellite, tree in the way. Did not see a pool. They only have basic cable, reason for 4 stars, normally campgrounds with cable, would have more channels, not just basic. Roads are in very poor shape. Cable TV and Internet is useless. You would be better off with a hot spot and using your antenna. The water is so bad most people only use it to shower. Its rust colored when it starts. Management is absolutely horrible. You are not treated as a customer or with respect. The manager makes it seem like she is the one doing you a favor by letting you stay there. Even though you are a paying Customer. Rules change based on each customer. If you are interested in staying at a place that is over priced and offers no special amenities besides a gated dog area, then this is the place for you. If not, don't stay here. We are return customers, that stay for weeks, months at a time, this time for over a month. The price has increased each year (not cheap) (again nothing special). Today when checking out, at 1:00 PM, I was told I was going to be charged for a full day because check out is at 11:00 AM. Ok. Is it possible to cut me a break this time, since I've been here for over a month and am a repeat customer...NOPE, check out is at 11 says the most pleasant lady behind the counter. Two hours. No doubt about it, if we drive thru tonight, someone will be in that spot. I can't stand places like these. We stay all over and have really great experiences and this is my first time leaving a not so great review. I just don't have any tolerance, for greedy jerks who don't make customer service a priority. read more
