I am not an electrician but I can manage some of the basics and have installed motion sensors, Ring floodlights, etc. I was not comfortable replacing the 3-way switches because there were too many wires and I can't see electricity. The last thing I want to do is cause a fire or electrocute myself. So, we researched electricians on Yelp that could help. My wife found three local companies through Yelp and reached out to them to inquire about cost and estimated time frame for completing the work. Damon was quick to respond to the inquiry through Yelp over the weekend and stated the project sounded like it would fall under their minimum service fee of $173.25. He provided us with the office number in the event that we wanted to go ahead and schedule. My wife called the office on Monday morning and they agreed on a time that afternoon where Damon could come by and look at the project since he was already in our area. Damon was on time and walked through the project with me. We agreed the work could be done the following afternoon. On Tuesday afternoon Damon came by and within 45 minutes or so had everything working properly. He was friendly and efficient. We didn't initially want to spend the money to hire an electrician but figured that in the grand scheme of things the money was well spent because we know it was done correctly, for less than $200.00. We really appreciate the quick response and are very happy that our exterior lights are now set up. The other two companies did respond to our initial response but were unable to conduct the work within our time frame. We will definitely call KD Electric if we have further needs and will refer them to friends in the area!

As I never realized or thought to hire an electrician to ensure everything is OK. Now we are here and out of warranty for bad installation. It cost a pretty penny to make sure the house is going to be safe. The solar electrician we worked with asked why we went to them. Rather than the company that installed our solar. Long story short. They dont have the talent to support. Took a few months of back and forth to get no where. Its a bit disappointing. Sales team are so good to make things look like it was so worth it. Either way. The people are good. For when we worked with them, they had good ratings. Next time, I'll do better res w arch for companies if I proceed to move towards sustainability again. I was hoping it would be a good relation for the long term. We still have them. As the solar panels are awesome. Just sad to know that they didnt really have the appropriate talent or knowledge to ensure they were following best practicing for the electrical aspect. The most important side. So FYI they did installations through a third party and they are G3 solar. Reno Solar is just a sales company with members who probably know nothing g about the installation process.
