What a delightful hotel; friendly and attentive staff. My room key needed to be reactivated daily. Nice rooms; I appreciate having the option of a shower or bath. Most hotels offer shower only rooms after remodeling. Breakfast in the hotel was amazing; included fresh fruits and juices, the traditional Irish entrees or you could opt for pancakes. Every meal includes potatoes; good potatoes. Something special about this hotel is the lavender balm. I meant to request more before I left. You rub this on your wrists or neck before bed and it is supposed to relax you and promote better sleep. It smells so good. read more

I stayed for a conference for three in the hotel and overall spent over €1000 with them. The is okay not on the cheaper scale of things when I was checking out I realised that I had a puncture and I went into and asked the gentleman if somebody could help me change the tire I was told that they were not insured and that I should contact my insurance company. I asked him are there any decent people left in Ireland and I was given a snigger as a reply. I'm quite disappointed that I was treated like this customer service and a small budget compassion needs to be addressed by Management. I am in the hospitality business myself and if any of my staff treat any customer with such coldness and lack of concern, I would be deeply upset. the first that people see on arrival and departure and I really feel that this gentleman has left down my overall experience shall I say is not the best. read more

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. I stayed in an Airbnb for our first night in Dublin and here our last night in Dublin. Wish I would have done both here! We had a car so it's only about a 15-20 min drive to get to the city center near Ha'Penny bridge. To keep this short and sweet this is my condensed review :) Pros: 1. Free car parking under the building in a garage 2. Breakfast buffet was amazing and sooo good 3. Room was comfortable and our first room In Ireland with a fridge 4. A bathtub that was separate from shower 5. Very friendly staff 6. Good location for off the main highways in and out of Dublin 7. Good price! 8. Super easy check in and checkout 9. Great gym 10. Proximity to a ton of shops across the street Cons: 1. The tv in our room had volume broken so even on volume 100 we couldn't hear it more than a whisper 2. No pool 3. No spa 4. Decor outside elevators a little tacky Overall this was a great hotel and definitely my choice for when we come back to Ireland!! read more

The Sanctuary Bar is a very sophisticated, relaxed and classy bar situated in the lobby of Blanchardstown's Crowne Plaza Hotel. The decor is lovely - the wallpaper is black with golden bird cages and birds flying free - it's really something... I was a little obsessed! The bird theme continues throughout the bar, with framed pictures of birds throughout and glass bird figures in a case at the entrance to the bar. The drinks are lovely and not too expensive - more your average bar prices - and they do have cocktails on offer for around the 9 euro mark. The Sanctuary Bar attracts hotel patrons and the general public, and is a real hit with families on Sundays. read more

This one is located next to the shopping center and a few restaurants. The purple decor is not everyones taste, but it looks nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean hotel. I wish they had more suit type of rooms. We are staying here for eight weeks with two small kids and feels like they need more room to bounce off walls. :) unfortunately all bigger rooms are all booked for the length of our stay. And another disappointing thing is that I wish rooms had more storage, like a dresser or something with drawers, for clothes besides the wardrobe by the entry. I have to keep our kids clothes in the suitcase and our clothes is put away here and there. We eat breakfast at the hotel and it's pretty nice. We get buffet and you can have your eggs made to order or get scramble from buffet selection. They also have pancake machine and fresh squeezed orange juice, some fresh fruit for breakfast. Selection is decent. We also went to the restaurant for dinner few times and food was AMAZING! A bit pricey but I say it's worth. ( about €78 for two adults and two kids) Kids can make their own pizza with the help of chef ( 6-7 pm) and stuff from kids menu is delicious, we tried and loved one of our kid's meals. The Sanctuary Bar is pretty nice. I can't say much about their alcohol selection, but we went their for lunch with kids and food was nice, our waitress was very helpful too. The neat feature in this hotel is their two birds ( some kind of small blue parrots) instead of typical fish tanks. I love birds and it's cool hearing chirping while walking through the lobby. There is a good size mall two stories near by, with cafes and lots of ice cream places and lots of shopping ( clothing and food) would be McDonald's, KFC, Burger King (2-d floor) Kay's kitchen is delicious homemade food, coffee and bakery - I recommend. There is also Starbucks (1st floor) !!! Also for whoever travels with kids !!! Mall has movie theater, but we haven't been - kids too small for that. Behind the mall there is Leisure Plex place - it has bowling, arcades, pool tables and a big jungle gym for smaller kids - €5 per child for 1,5 hours. And also there is a public library somewhere there too I've been told, but we haven't actually been. And if you keep walking past McDonald's ( the one that's not in the mall) there is a big children's park and dog park just keep walking past that big grassy field, it's a bit of a walk. There is an area to play ball, area for bikes, scooters, skateboards and a big playground for big and small kids and a sandbox. If you are a jogger that park would be perfect for you! read more

This well located Hotel is a magnificent facility. The Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 is just off the M50 motorway, and approximately 25 minutes from Dublin Airport . The access into the Town is quiet easy with buses or taxis leaving from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. The extraordinary commodity of having all the shops around you is top class, you don't need to drag your shopping while in town you have everything there "from a nail to a needle". This hotel is very elegant and it really makes you feel very comfortable specially with the very good value prices for the Rooms, Restaurant and the Sanctuary bar with a wireless facility. Staff are very helpful and you will be sure that they will provide you a high quality service. The 600 spaces conference or party area is a very fancy lit room which is perfect for presentations, weddings, etc. The Forchetta restaurant prices and quality of food is great, you could get a great pasta or a fresh authentic pizza!! It is Nice to see that you have a lot of choices around The Crowne Plaza, making it the best choice outside Dublin Town. read more

I was just here for work about 3 weeks ago. (10/2012). Missed the Giants in the series. Not the fault of the hotel :) The hotel was nice, the have a nice lobby with plenty of seating to meet people in. The gym was decent, and had towels and a average amount of hotel workout items. The restaurant was good, for both breakfast and dinner. The bar was pretty standard, but has authentic Irish beer/whiskey ready at any time. The staff were super friendly, and always there to help a guide the guests. The other great piece of this is that you are walking distance to a huge mall and other American style restaurants like Mc Donald's, if you need a fix. Rooms were clean, big enough and comfy, no complaints. Just a tip, please note the location of this hotel with respect to the airport, your office, or sites to see. It is a bit out of reach for most. So if you need to work and play in the city center then you may need somewhere else. Good luck everyone! read more

Good hotel with some minor issues. The staff are super nice and helpful. We arrived at 11 am and they could not fit us in as they claimed they were full. After an overnight flight from Philly we wanted to rest before we adventured out but we had no choice. Bit disappointed that I was to have gotten a call when the manager promised the next room in line. However we headed into town and didn't get back till 5 pm and we were good. The second issue was they had a Romanian concert till 1 pm and that was loud on our 3rd floor from. Again they tried to move us and by the time they found a room on a higher floor my wife and daughter were jet lagged and half asleep. We chose to stay and it was fine after that night. Had a plumbing issue that they took care and even left us a nice note and some brownies as a good will gesture. Car park in the basement is tight when your rental car decided to upgrade you. Overall a bit out of the city and that was nice. A huge mall is walking distance. Restaurant and bar in the building are ok not great. Hopefully you are in Dublin and staying in your hotel is not a priority. read more

This is my first stay in Dublin. I have chosen this hotel for business reasons (close to IBM), and for this it was the best choice, I think. From a private perspective, it would have been nicer if it were closer to Dublin's center. However, you will also find a nice pub in Blanchardstown to grab some food in the evenings. The room and bathroom are spacious and nice, no complaints here. Breakfast could be better, it is an average buffet for the hotel's category. read more

Again, one of those typical chain-hotels that have grown anywhere you can put the "near the airport"-sign up. This one has a good bar with some decent food, and sits in the middle of Ireland's biggest shopping centre - so it may come in handy for some retail therapy. But again I cannot reccommend it for first-time visitors for being too far away from the city centre. Expect a 30 min-cab ride or a 45-60 minute journey on the bus. read more

Seriously awesome cheeseburger at the bar. Hit the spot after a long day of endless Guinness while trolling the temple bar district enjoying the chill in the air we seldom get here in AZ. The great thing about Dublin, and this establishment in general, is the way you are treated, as if you are part of the family or a regular. "Location + Hospitality = Perfection " I checked into this hotel as a Spire Elite unfortunately we did not receive an upgrade for our stay however I believe the hotel was very busy and Maybe even sold out for some of the nights. The facility itself was well designed and even the standard room was nicely appointed! I had a change in plans and reached out to Magda (the hotel GM) she leaves her business card in the room incase you need to reach out! Excellent! I appreciate a manager who's proactive and available to guests! I asked Magda about extending our stay even though the hotel was full on one of the nights she extended us and also gave us a reasonable discount! I truly appreciate and respect this type of proactive, personal management style! I would highly recommend this hotel for that quality alone but i also should mention is the location of this property is perfectly located across the street from tons of shopping and eating, (please check out my review for Nando's Blanchardstown). EXTREMELY dissatisfied - taking legal action I stayed over with friends in order to attend an event at the hotel. After the event was over, I returned to my room to find an extremely strong, and frankly disgusting, smell of smoke on our floor (I had booked a non-smoking room). I foolishly did not complain about it. Two days after checkout I received a letter in the post informing me I had been fined €200 for smoking in our rooms. What a ridiculous fine! I rang up to try and sort it out and was given zero help. I was informed I had to put my complaint in writing which I duly did and after waiting a week for a response had to follow it up with THREE PHONECALLS just to get someone to reply. The response was as expected - the fine is remaining as there was 'evidence' we smoked (the smell of smoke). Coincidentally several other people on my floor were apparently fined and not one has queried the fine. Imagine that. It's almost as if the smoke came from them and they accept it. I rang the Front of House Manager who was extremely rude to me on the phone. All the points I made were met with 'Yeeeeeeah.....*silence*'. I am absolutely furious about these charges and about the way the staff have treated me since. I refuse to let this lie and as a result I am now taking legal action. Do NOT stay here. read more

It is a very lovely hotel, everything Wardy has written is true but be careful : hard to get a hold of managers when you get some issue to sort out, especially when it comes down to money. They would just hide away. Customers don't feel 'kings' and need to fight for their rights in the hotel which is unimpressive at all. read more
