The Crowne Plaza is a borderline 2.5 or 3 star hotel. It's centrally located and easy to access, with many dining and shopping options a short drive away. Plenty of parking on site, even with an event going on the lot never filled. Lobby area has an older look, mostly decorated with wood grain and crystal. Check in was easy and painless. Elevators could use an overhaul and some buttons didn't work, but remained functional throughout the weekend. Rooms look dated, starting with the 90's looking carpeting and ancient telephone. Our room did not come with a sitting chair while others did, and we could not be 100% sure our ice bucket had a lid. Unexpectedly the furniture had USB charging ports, but we could not be sure they were plugged in. Beds were comfortable enough. Bathroom has the sink outside of the shower/toilet area. Room in general had a lot of age related wear and tear. Other people in our group had serious heating, cooling, and pluming issues to deal with in there room. Crowne Plaza has a surprisingly large amount of convention space, with several larger rooms on the first floor, and smaller breakout rooms on the mezzanine (second) floor. Hotel does have an onsite restaurant, which I did not eat at. Overall, the Crowne Plaza is ok, but overdue for an overhaul.

I travel a lot for work, so staying at hotels is something that I have become very familiar with. I have never stayed at a Crowne Plaza before and this was my first time. I don't know if my expectations were too high but I was told great things about Crowne Plaza in general. Due to this, I was expecting this hotel to be a little bit better than your average one. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I checked in not too long ago and am already looking at other hotels on the area to stay. Once you walk in, the lobby is extremely inviting. There is a nice coffee area that was closed, most likely due to COVID, right next to the front desk. The staff was friendly and I didn't have anything to complain about at that point. My first negative experience was the elevator. I try to go up to the top floor but I actually had to hold down the button or else the elevator wouldn't register the floor I need to go to. Upon arriving to my floor, I noticed how dim the hallways were and it wasn't inviting feeling overall. Once I walked into my room, I noticed how extremely outdated everything in it was. From the furniture to the lighting to the bed, could use an update. The sheets are extremely thin and could be from the 1970s. Not every outlet in the room works and it's not like I went and tried each one just so I can say that. I simply had to try three different outlets to get one to work. Another thing is the Wi-Fi is only seem to connect to my phone and not my other devices. For a work trip, this is outrageous. I am having to use one of my phones as a hotspot. The phone in the room isn't even from this hotel and has the wrong room number listed on it, so who knows how long that mistake has been there. I was even planning to go to the gym but as soon as I saw the quality of my room, I didn't even bother. To be fair, this is an extremely large hotel for an area that isn't so populated. Therefore, renovations for a hotel this size could be very complicated. Even though that is the case, this hotel really needs it. I didn't give it one star because I felt bad for the staff but I do hope that the management tries to do some thing to give this hotel a facelift.

Do not stay here. The pictures online do not match the reality of the cleanliness or state of the rooms. I am traveling for work and quickly booked a place close to the office I am visiting. Regret not planning better. Cons: Dust everywhere, moldy ceilings, peeling/bubbling wallpaper, filthy chair, shower drain clogs, some sort of...liquid spilled on the doors - see pics. The AC is full of dust. I cancelled the rest of my stay and booked at the Courtyard Marriot, suggest you do the same. Pros: pretty lobby, friendly front desk staff.

This was a pretty decent hotel! So I came here over the weekend and was pretty impressed with the stay. This hotel is very spacious and conveniently located right off the highway. There is a very large parking lot that this hotel has. The room was very big, the bed was plush, room service was efficient and the view was beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I haven't tried any of the food however, the set up of this hotel was modern and a nice layout. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Sometimes I question the Yelp star reviews for various hotels and restaurants when compared to the booking agency reviews or my own personal experience. In this case, I have stayed at this particular hotel and have always been very satisfied; I wouldn't hesitate to book it again, assuming I could get close or near the same deal I received booking through Hotwire. The hotel is clean, comfortable, free parking, free WiFi, good service at both check-in and from house keeping, plus it is perfectly situated to downtown Philly. The moral of this story/review is read between the lines of yelp reviews; check out the credibility of the reviewer over a wide swath of reviews rather than make a hasty decision that just might cost you a very good experience at an excellent price.

Was my first visit to a Crown plaza. Was not that satisfied with my stay. The room would not get cool even after I called and requested they send some one to put the room in summer mode. Even after they did I had it set on sixty the entire stay and it never got lower then seventy two maybe. The room itself was nice. Very old carpet. First time I was disappointed I forgot my Lysol. The view above the outside pool from the 12th floor was very nice. The staff was there to help in any way

The divine folks at this establishment were incredibly helpful and extremely generous with their time and advice. My partner and I were displaced from our home due to a fire and were super skeptical about the experience we had to prepare ourselves for. Two weeks quickly turned into a month and when I tell you we received the upmost hospitality at this establishment it's entirely an understatement. Crowne Plaza turned our unexpected displacement into an extended forced vacation and we are truly grateful. Huge shout out to Gabe, Tony, Dana, Christina, and Nick!! I look forward to the renovations because without you all that place wouldn't have gotten such a great review!

I stayed here with my friend for a night. The staff treated us like royalty - particularly the pool staff. They were really accommodating guys who helped us have fun while minding the COVID-19 restrictions. Thanks for letting me to relax!

price is reasonable compared to the quality standards, breakfast not included, 10% discount with AARP , some good restaurant around the hotel area ! Air conditioning is little noise , bathroom needs to be up date (shower knob is hard to turn on ) The phone in the room is unacceptable( no label for dial direction ) and the headboard light is broken ! What is going on with this hotel !

The ballrooms and event/meeting spaces are absolutely stunning and clearly well-maintained, which is perfect for events or special occasions. The pool is also very large, which was a nice feature. However, there were several issues that made the stay frustrating. The pool area could definitely use better upkeep, there didn't seem to be much maintenance or cleaning happening, and there was no lifeguard on duty. The pool is surrounded by trees and the bugs and things fall from the trees onto the pool grounds, then all of that ends up in the pool. It was not cleaned once while we were there though the kids didn't seem to mind much. They have plenty of lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. While there is a poolside menu, there's no actual food delivery service to your chair, which was disappointing. That means you have to order over the phone (took them forever to answer) then leave the pool area to go get your food. Not exactly ideal if you are traveling with kids, and there is no outside food or drink allowed. The elevators were extremely slow, which became inconvenient, especially during busy times. Inside the room, we ran into a few problems. There weren't enough towels provided, and when we tried calling the front desk, no one answered. We had to go downstairs and wait in line just to request basic items, which delayed us while getting ready for dinner. On top of that, the air conditioning in the room was not working properly, making it uncomfortable. It was a heatwave and they know we booked the room, yet the main source of cold air (the cold air valve) was never turned on, and when we came back from dinner a couple hours later it still wasnt really cold. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of potential and looks great aesthetically, the lack of service, responsiveness, and basic maintenance needs serious improvement.

Overall, I would most likely stay here again. Received two water bottles and two cookies upon check-in being a Diamond member.

First, they got rid of the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby which really effected the workers who need to get out by 5-6am,when nothing is open. They reduced the frequency of dumpster pickups, so there's always garbage strewn about the parking lot. They fired the three most experienced, helpful front desk administrators and replaced them with people with no experience and unpleasant personalities. For a hotel with several hundred guest rooms, there's most often only one housekeeper on duty, who cannot possibly do everything she's assigned. Again, for such a large hotel, there is but one maintenance guy who cannot possibly do his job effectively, although he really tries without complaints. The general manager and assistant general manager are wonderful, but it seems that their hands are tied. There is so much more, folks. I can no longer recommend staying at this hotel because the latest owners don't seem to give a fuck about you and me.

I have stayed in countless B & Bs and have contacted Select Registry (the B & B directory that highlights luxury inns) four times to suggest myself to become one of their reviewers. They haven't responded, and maybe they shouldn't hire me because I'm brutally honest, picky, and have high standards when it comes to inns. Inns have to pay a hefty fee to be featured that book, so I'd probably piss off their paying inns. But I'd make a lot of them happy, too, because when something is good, I let the world know. But I digress. Let's get back to Haddonfield Inn. I'd like to give them 5 stars because they are a dog-friendly inn. And when I called to book the room, Nicole, the innkeeper's daugher, was such a sweetheart. I really, really wanted this to be a fantastic experience because it's close to NYC, they take dogs, and we could return time and time again. Yay for NJ! We were off to a GREAT start! Right? WRONG. We get here and I go to the restroom to relieve myself. I see that the maid has not yet cleaned the floor... there's hair and dirt on the floor. I know, I know. I'm picky, but for $259 a night, a clean bathroom would be a nice touch. I told the innkeeper (I was very nice and charming about it) and she came to clean it herself. It took her 2 seconds flat. She ran back out and called my name. "Angela, you owe us another $20 because you are only staying for one night. Can I have your credit card again?" Huh?? Now normally an extra 20 bucks would not throw me. But we were told when I booked the room that it was $259 and were sent the receipt in a follow-up confirmation. So I asked her about it and she just mumbled something about the fact that Nicole made a mistake and she was just going to have to charge me the extra $20. I told her that this is not what was told to us when we booked and I had the receipt to prove it. She turned to me and said, "Well, if you aren't happy about it, you can just leave." I stuck my 8-month pregnant belly out (just in case she missed it... doesn't she know that you aren't supposed to mess with a lady who is that pregnant?) and said, "I'm not unhappy, I'm shocked at the way you are treating your customer." She knew she was wrong and after mumbling some comments that I chose not to hear, she said she'd reimburse us the $20. And, to her credit, she wrote us an apology note later in the evening. I would have given this place 2 stars, but because Nicole was such a nice person to us and because they accept dogs, I give them a freebie star.

Since this was practically the only lodging available in Haddonfield, we were very thankful that we were able to bring the 2 year old on the trip with us. Drinks, snacks, and wine were available at any hour of the day. We really liked our room, but it got pretty chilly on our first night.
