This is not a very fancy hotel, but it does a great job for what it is. The buffet breakfast was simple (no make-your-own-waffle machine - to my daughter's dismay) but actually pretty good. And very reasonably priced at $13.95. The room was very quiet - even though there is a NJTrantsit rail line very nearby. I never noticed the trains from inside the hotel. But what was really great was the two swimming pools! Inside is a quite shallow, very very warm pool. Outside is a much bigger pool that goes from 4 feet to 8.5 feet deep! I did witness a member of the staff cleaning the pool, so that was a good sign. Cons: The elevator (one of the two was out of service) was a bit wonky, so we had to wait longer than seemed normal a few times. The hotel is wedged between two enormous strip malls and is down the road from 30 others. Not particularly scenic or pleasant, but it's fine to sleep there. read more

3.5 but will round up. I stayed here with my kids for a long weekend. Criterion for a hotel was: 1. Proximity to Philly and Adventure Aquarium in Camden. 2. Free parking. 3. Indoor pool. Not many hotels met #2 and #3, but this one did. Breakfast is NOT free-it's $17.99 buffet style and kids eat free. Was it worth it for just me, no, but the price was fair to feed 3 of us. The pool was small but very warm on day 1. Day 2 had more people and it was colder. There is an outdoor pool too but this was a winter visit. The room was smaller than I expected but two queen beds still, a TV, and a small fridge. The bathroom had a Bluetooth in the mirror which my kids both loved. It was clean. Shoutout to housekeeping who stocked extra towels each day without asking. The only negative was our room faced a train track and I heard trains up until 11:30pm. Could have been later but I didn't hear because I was so exhausted from the day. My kids have requested a return trip and I'd be happy to stay here again. read more

I rented a king suite that overall was ok. It included a kitchenette which I would have expected to include paper towels and a sponge which was disappointing (it's not an Airbnb after all ). When we went down for breakfast we learned our room didn't include this and we paid $16.99 for each adult which included cold eggs, cold bacon/sausage, and french toast with no syrup. I refused to get water because the dispenser looked dirty with buildup (I took a photo). The breakfast area was so dirty and then gentleman running it was just on his phone the whole time. Later on when we were at the bar, my husband ordered a Guiness which was served with an orange and when I asked for an espresso martini and notice the bartender immediately struggle I then switched to a beer on tap because I was nervous what she would've poured me. It's clear the bartender had little to no training. The pool opens at 10 and checkout is 11 so it's not conducive for a swim the morning of checkout. I would not return or recommend. read more

Brand new modern designs in the room very clean and was a great stay! I I know it is not a luxury hotel, of course, but it is fantastic for a "higher level" holiday inn! Lobby is clean and fairly quiet the new restaurant and bar looked great. One of the nights I think it was thursday there was karaoke, too. Smart TV was in our room as well as a fridge, and we loved that it had a magnifying glass built into the bathroom mirror to put on your makeup. It was just very convenient and well lit. We do wish that the shower was frosted glass so that a second person could be in the bathroom at the same time because it feels like lack of privacy to have clear glass in the shower, so no one else would be in the bathroom with you at the same time. At least, if you're not husband and wife, kinda awkward. Parking was easy, surrounding the building. Felt very safe because you had to have your room key to go up the elevator to any level, so not just anyone could walk around in the hotel. Neighborhood also seemed safe as well... With a starbucks , home depot, and a giant shopping center across the main road nearby. Friendly people at the front desk and helpful as well! read more

My granddaughter hand got stuck on a sticky mouse trap has she was picking up a toy from underneath the stand. When we called the front desk they asked like it wasn't a big deal. Didn't offer to take it out, didn't ask if she was ok, didn't seem to care like they get calls like this all the time. (Mouse issue months ago saw on Wed-site) No free breakfast/ every other holiday inn we've stayed at least had fruit or some type of quick snack for free. Recently, while traveling through the area to promote my new book "The Art of Taking It Easy" my family and really enjoyed our stay here. Holiday Inn is a hotel chain that is going through changes and this location is undergoing some significant renovations, but they still provide great service and value. I loved that it was across the street from one of the book stores where I was scheduled to appear, and we all appreciated how close we were to center city Philadelphia. Although the restaurant and much of the lobby were still under renovation, the gym and heated indoor pool were amazing. The renovations are only going to make this place better! read more

I had read several not-so-good reviews & I was a bit dubious about booking here, but I took a chance (since it was very close to where I was going). For openers, my room was spotless & well-maintained. The hot & cold water both worked, the faucets did not drip, and the seat did not slide off the toilet. The heating was just fine (although the fan made a minor amount of noise). The other guests in the establishment were very quiet & they kept their kids (if they had any) under control. The curtains opened & closed as they should. None of the windows were broken. True, the outdoor pool was closed, but then again it was the end of November. The restaurant supplied a great cup of morning coffee & a decent decaf refill, along with a first-class cheese omelet with fried onions, mushrooms, peppers, excellent fried potatoes & toast, as part of the deal. They also had a Kerik Coffee drip brewer in the room, with four pods (two regular & 2 decaf). In general, supplies were sparse, but more than adaquate. Staff in the restaurant, like the staff at the front desk, were attentive & did their jobs well. The price was not cheap, but nothing is reasonably priced these days, so I can't complain about that. I will gladly return here if I I plan to be in the neighborhood again. Note that the entire establishment is NON SMOKING, a big plus if that's important to you & a big minus if you are a smoker. read more

The hotel rooms are not bad, out of everyone staying there only me and my roommate had a bug problem. After telling the front desk they immediately gave us a new room and apologized, The new room was very clean and I had no further problems. The Gym room is very small and only has two treadmills which were full when I came to use them. The dinner was served cold from the start but the customer service was excellent. The breakfast on the other hand was hot and great, my advice is to check your bed before laying on it but otherwise this is a okay hotel option. read more

Decent location, but have zero motivation to make this place nice. I'm writing in Mid July and the pool is entirely green. Staff here is clueless and don't pass on notes to each other as they say, which adds to confusion later on. Bar area closes at 9:30 so forget about getting a drink after dinner(unless you want to pay $28 for their pre-mixed drinks in the cooler) We have the IHG CC which allows late check out at 2pm, but this hotel says they've never heard of it and can't accommodate because they're sold out. Meanwhile I go downstairs to grab a drink and watch someone walk in without a reservation, reserve, and check in early... at 10am. How can they accommodate a brand new room but not an extra two hours of late check out? The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the hotel does seem clean and nobody went out of their way to bother us. We will be thinking about cancelling the IHG CC though. This is the 2nd hotel that's given this response. We'll take our business to Marriott. read more

Considering how much I spent on this hotel room I was a little disappointed by what the amenities are and are not. First of all when we walked in we didn't have a towel for the floor for when you walk out of the shower and also a bunch of the towels are kind of miss place which makes me feel like someone had walked in there and like throwing things around. Things were clean and it's updated nicely but that was a little weird. Also it's our fault however the holiday in express versions of this hotel offer a complementary breakfast while this more expensive version does not. I did want to buy breakfast there however I didn't want to spend a lot of money but the area where you could've purchased like a five dollar sandwich didn't have anything in there. If you wanna do A late check out by even just one hour they were gonna charge you half a day which is I feel really steep. And then if you did a typical late check out they were gonna charge you for a whole extra day so that was worthless. Plenty of parking in your somewhat close to Philadelphia. I just didn't feel like I got the worth out of my money. read more

This is a problem of expectations. We booked our room through a travel site which told us we would be getting a three-star hotel. So I went in giving the place the benefit of the doubt. The Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill could be very nice. But, no. Really, it's not. As a budget hotel, I could see how one might be reasonably happy here. I've stayed in some really awful hotels and motels in my day. And the Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill isn't awful. It's just bleak. The smell of industrial cleaners wafts over you in the long, greenish light of the compact-fluorescent lit hallway as you get to your adequately furnished room. I was glad to be traveling with some really nice beer to make the surroundings a bit less grim. In the end, it did the job. We had a bed to sleep in, a shower to clean ourselves, and a sink to brush our teeth. The k-cup coffee maker provided a small jolt of caffeine in the morning. And we spent as little time as humanly possible in the actual hotel. Based on the expectations going in, I feel like I should give this place two stars. But in reality, I suppose it's fine, so three stars seems more fair. However, in all seriousness, I won't be coming back here. The next time I need a hotel in the area, I'll be looking for something better. And to me, that means two stars. read more

Awful awful hotel, with terrible management and service: We had made a reservation for 8 nights for a king suite for 3 adults. We arrived later in the evening on the first night and, despite our reservation, they had given away our room and they only had a standard room left for that evening - our son had to sleep on the floor that first night. For reimbursement, they gave us a $12 discount, even though the difference in rates between rooms for one night was ~$120. Despite the hotel's policy of charging the room to our credit card if we were within 24 hours of our reservation, management claimed that we were supposed to let them know if we would be arriving late - nowhere on their website was this described in advance of our arrival or on our reservation. The management was rude throughout. In addition, their staff were consistently smoking right outside the entrance to the hotel, with the smell seeping into the lobby. read more

This review is based on a few night stay and used their conference rooms. The high level summary is you could do worse, but you could certainly do better. The front desk needs some lessons in customer service as their actions left a sour taste in my mouth from the start. The internet is also ridiculously slow for any major chain hotel. On the flip side, the rooms are a fairly decent size and at least I found my bed very comfortable. They also have "firm" and "soft" pillows, which are labeled, so you don't have to test to find the one right for you. And while I didn't give them a try, they have an pair of pools. read more

Eh... Strike 1: Arrived at this location, and although my name was put under the reservation? It apparently wouldn't show up on their computers. I personally made the reservation. I was stranded at the desk with all my bags (no one offered to help, nor was there a bellboy available, but if there typically isn't, this is my fault), and I had to call the other person ok the reservation to let me in. Strike 2: It didn't have the friendly vibe. The front desk seemed annoyed to help me, when I called for toothpaste, the housekeeping scowled at me when she arrived. Strike 3: THE ACCESS CARDS WOULDN'T WORK!!! Another person staying in my room came at 2am and couldn't get his access card to work and we had to be awoken. The staff had it on their system that we had the problem over 7 times! Unacceptable. Get it together. The reason for the three stars is because the rooms were clean, the location is GREAT (walking distance to shopping center and many great restaurants) and they comped us breakfast for ONE day for the card issue. The breakfast was outstanding. Got the steak, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked well. The potatoes were also very very good. Not sure why people didn't enjoy the breakfast. Upon check in as a Platinum Elite member I was really not greeted or offered arrival amenity. I was then given a king room when I had reserved a double as I had my wife and kids with me. They did not have any double rooms left so my kids kind up on a pullout. It went down hill after that. The hotel is in serious disrepair. The fitness facility is rusted and falling apart. I have never seen a Holiday Inn in this condition. There was a friendly yellow towel bin in our hallway I named Bob for our entire stay. My advice to a normally great hotel chain is spend some money and update this place! The new restaurant is OUTSTANDING. I was not expecting such a chic place inside the hotel. My boss and I tried multiple items from the menu and loved each one. We ate them too quickly for me to take pictures, but we tried the eggplant & tomato bruschetta, crab cake sandwich, fries, tempura fried cauliflower, blackened shrimp, and fried brussel sprouts (in two visits ). I wish I wasn't full so I could keep eating! We also had a wonderful server named Kyle. Super friendly and engaging, and all smiles. If I come back into town for business I will definitely stay here again just for the restaurant and wonderful service. read more

I had a great stay at this Holiday Inn, just a moment away from downtown Philadelphia. My check in was quick and easy, the staff was very accommodating and kind. The fitness room was as spacious and as well equipped as you could hope for in any hotel! My room was comfortable, quiet and came equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and small refrigerator. The location is just great with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There's even a discount offered to guests who dine at a local restaurant across the street. With just a short drive to Philadelphia and a not far at all from a train stop, I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again when traveling through the area. read more

You have to run around to get something done (check-in, check-out, fix a broken key many times for a 1 night stay, ask to refill empty coffee in a lobby)...Breakfast was awful, we had to wait forever (with 3 kids), and the waitress kept forgetting about us. There really isn't much to say about this hotel. I've been to plenty of Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses and this one is on par with the rest of them. Good customer service at the front desk, and elevators that may or may not be working. (Fortunately, they worked just fine at this place.) There is a Red, Hot, & Blue co-located with the hotel, and they serve breakfast for guests. Not a bad place to park it at the end of a long day. (The food there is 'meh'.) What I liked most about this location was its proximity to Philadelphia, and the fact a shopping center was right across the main road. read more

This hotel was ok for an overnight stay. It was decorated nicely for the Christmas holiday. Upon arrival into the lobby, it smelled delightful as one walked in, a very clean smelling and neat, well-kept appearance for an older hotel. The room was an ok size but the beds were a bit tight. It just seemed like they were full size beds and not queens. Also the bathroom vanity seemed a tad bit oversized for the space. It felt cramped while using the bathroom. There isn't much room to move around in the bathroom, and with the vanity and the door in close proximity it would make one feel claustrophobic. Other than that it was nice. The staff brought extra towels and washcloths upon request, and the front desk followed up by telephone to make sure housekeeping brought them. That was refreshing. Elevator and luggage carts are conveniently located. Free parking. The room was sparkling clean, with microwave and fridge, coffee maker and sweet extras like popcorn, pretzels, and two bottles of water! Nice soaps/lotion. Lots of pillows and towels. Hair dryer, iron, safe. Free WiFi. Too bad it was too late for real food or a glass of wine. NJ is in the dark ages of alcohol control. Bathroom is modern, but teeny. Recently stayed at the Cherry Hill Holiday Inn and was pleasantly surprised. I was traveling on tour as a musician and with a show coming up that night the quick check in was truly appreciated. Despite being a larger hotel finding my room was a breeze and there was ample parking. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spotless, nothing felt as good as that shower after our show. The location is prime especially if you're looking to spend time in Philadelphia, being just 15 minutes away from everything you'd want to do in downtown. Highly recommend staying here! read more

Easily one of the very worst places I've ever slept. This is a run down, face-lifted, old school Holiday Inn property. It's loud, it smells, and the clientele are for the most part pretty scary. I'm sorry I had to take my children here. I live less than 2 hours away. I would have preferred just driving home and back. The rooms were clean and spacious ... the cleaning staff kept all the basic amenities clean and stocked during our stay.... they had a lot of tv channel options like HBO too... there is a restaurant located downstairs so it was easy to spend dinner time wit out getting out of the hotel... Loved staying here. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and while I knew we could expect a nice, clean place to stay I don't think I expected it to be so great. The hallway looked an smelled so nice and there was a fireplace in the main lobby which is such a cool detail. They had a full gym and even a pool. Connected to the hotel is a bar and BBQ restaurant which the locals said was one of the best in the city. After having the ribs I have to agree. It's also really conveniently located around many restaurants and shops. Will totally stay here again next time I am in the area. read more
