I learned as a teenager that I had to work really hard to get the style and volume I wanted. And, no matter how good my hair looked when I walked out the door, a few minutes in the wind, rain or humidity and there was no style or volume left! That's just the way it was and I learned to deal with it! Then in 2010 over a 3 month timeframe, I lost so much hair all over my head, I was embarrassed to go out. The cause appears to be a combination of genetics, thyroid and "unknown". My Own Wig Experiences I bought a wig at a local shop — trying to get it as close to my own hair as possible. It really looked pretty good, but the wig was actually too small, and “itchy”. So I started looking for another. I probably bought 6 wigs in the next few months from two more local shops and several from online sources. None of them were exactly what I wanted. They either didn't look as natural as I had hoped, or they didn't look the same as they did in the online photos. In the Fall of 2011, many wigs and many dollars later, I finally found a wig style and color that I was very comfortable with. I bought that same style and color for 4 years. Because my hair never varied and always looked "perfect," I think most people knew I wore a wig, but I still wanted to keep it a secret. Godiva's Secret Wigs In the Fall of 2015 I was ready for a change, but dreaded going through the trial and error process that I had experienced earlier. I discovered Godiva’s Secret online and loved so many of the styles, I became a Consultant. I now have more than a dozen of my own wigs in various and styles and colors (see pictures below!) and love being able to change things up--just like I used to do with my natural hair! It is fun and never boring.

      I love to empower women with the confidence that they are beautiful and can be crowned with grace. A great wig or hairpiece can play a key part in that process. My clients include women who have medically induced hair loss, hereditary thinning hair, and those who just want the convenience and fun of a wig. My goal is to provide a comfortable, no pressure setting, especially for those who are new to wigs. Together we have fun trying on lots of styles and colors until the perfect solution is found!

      Crowned with Grace registered as a consultant for Godiva's Secret Wigs in October of 2015. Since then, Crowned with Grace has enjoyed making a difference in the lives of women from Minnesota and surrounding states.

      Meet the Business Owner: Sue T.
