The trip itself was a mix of solo travelers and friends/significant others. It was a small group of 10-15 travelers which made for an intimate experience. Alex and Elise the cofounders were on the trip and were welcoming and friendly to all travelers. From the beginning of the trip when we were met at the airport I was so impressed with Alex and Elise's passion and dedication for travel. The hotel we stayed at was clean and comfortable and all of the restaurants were top notch. Trip to the coffee farm was fantastic the authentic lunch, made with love from locals, was so delicious and the views incredible, only topped by watching the coffee being roasted and hand dripped pour over style by Aron his mother Irene. The zip lines the next day lots off fun, followed by another amazing lunch. The waterfall hike and swim was breathtaking followed by a relaxing massage and yoga sound bath from the most beautiful yoga studio with panoramic views. Saw sloths, iguana, spider monkeys, tucans, ant eaters, and more. The other mothers and daughters were wonderful to be with , made lots of new friends. Every meal delicious. We set up an initial meet and greet phone call to go over expectations and discuss needs. From there Cari hit the ground running and came back to us with various options for a destination wedding. We looked at multiple countries and resorts in the Caribbean that worked within our budget. We ended up choosing Secrets Akumal in Riviera Maya, Mexico because it seemed to have the best bang for your buck while offering an easier travel arrangement for our guests. Cari handled all of the communications with the resort for the wedding guests and all of the communications with the wedding coordinators to confirm our date. She handled every stressful aspect of planning without a single complaint, and since I know our guests well, it was shocking! True Rockstar! When we flew to Mexico for the wedding, we were greeted by our driver who had chilled champagne waiting for us in the car. When we got the resort, we had more special gifts waiting for us in the room. I felt like a celebrity all due to Cari's personal touches. There are requirements before entering every country and Visas and health forms you need to fill out. Phyllis made it so easy for my husband and I to know exactly what is required and when to start the process of applying for visas and when to take our required covid tests. She not only booked and organized the hotel and excursions but checked up on us frequently to make sure everything was running smoothly and to double check that we started the process to get to the next location.
