I order take out same sandwich frequently. Tonight it cost me 47 and change for 2 sandwiches not including the tip I left. The sandwiches were in no way the same as usual. Couldn't pick it up not quite toasted enough and just fell completely out of the bread. Have you a panini. I don't usually call to complain about my order yet I felt like it was necessary. The owner got on the phone when I called to tell me take out is like that. Im sorry but it isn't I get it 2 times a week. So disappointed with the response. I won't be ordering there anymore. I had the roast beef club. It was superb and I would absolutely order that again. The roast beef was lean and delicious and the horseradish sauce was nice and tangy. My only recommendation is to broaden the cold beverage selection. Pepsi products aren't my thing. The sparkling water was okay but more variety in beverages would be great. read more

Ordered a burrito chicken bowl. Requested half normal rice portion and double protein chicken. This was not communicated to the kitchen staff unless the normal chicken portion is half what I was served. The chicken is breast meat pulled apart with a fork and dry. No taste or seasoning to the meat. The guacamole is from a bag like you would find in the grocery aisle and not fresh. It's hard to call it a bowl as it's served on a small cast iron skillet versus a traditional bowl as is customary with other similar establishments. Overall it's was completely underwhelming , bland, and over priced. Staff was pleasant. My table and the one beside me had yet to be wiped down from previous customers. The ambiance is disjointed and feels out of place for the area. It's possible the breakfast is a better choice. They had a good selection of pies to pair with a coffee. This is my favourite place to go for lunch. Their paninis are delicious and they do not slack on the meat in them. The bakery items and coffee bar is also delicious. Service is always great too. Only downfall is their hours are kind of weird as they're closed 3 days a week but I would rather that vs being open 7 days a week with burnt out staff and less quality dishes. Went in a couple weeks ago and saw that they had a steak, peppers, mushrooms, onions, sub on the menu. I asked if it could be prepared in a wrap (they offer wraps on their menu). The woman behind the counter didn't know what to say because an employee in his early 30's with dark hair along with dark facial hair shouted at me stating "that what's on the menu board is the only way it is served." I've been in Calais for nearly two months and I have not been treated in such a fashion until that day. I will never ever step in that establishment again. I will let you know that I went to Karen's Main Street Diner and Pub down from this place and ordered the steak, pepper, mushroom sub in a wrap. Karen's goes out of their way to accommodate any requests you might have. Try Karen's instead because there "you can have it your way" unlike CRUMBS! We stopped here after crossing the St. Andrews border crossing. It did not disappoint. Excellent soup. The sandwiches had a nice proportion of ingredients so all the flavors came through. The sodas were a treat. The prices are very reasonable. We would definitely come back again. read more

I absolutely love their waffles and muffins. The pistachio muffin is by far the best. Also the lemon cheesecake is the best dessert ever!!

After an arduous border crossing, we were needing coffee to relieve the stress. This cafe was a fabulous find, even if stopping here made our trip south a couple of hours longer than it should have been. (I sometimes use Yelp to plot my best driving route.... it can get dicey when the areas are a little less populated with 5 star cafes). Homemade bread... sandwiches with just the right mixture of protein and toppings... the boy liked his cake. The crafted fountain sodas were a delightful addition. Oh, yeah - we got good coffee too. It warmed my heart to hear that they were usually much more busy than how we had found them - they are certainly a great place to get a satisfying bite. read more

I'm sitting in this pleasant cafe after enjoying homemade loaded potato soup, a nice colorful green salad with more than just lettuce. It had mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes, over fresh greens, coconut cream pie with a bubly sparking water. Everything was made from scratch! I only wish that we had cafes like this in my hometown. The cafe is ran by one waiter who was pleasant, and gave us excellent service. My husband had the " everything cake" it was so delicious. I've only been here once, but I was a fan from the start. They have great prices, great coffee and sandwiches, overall an awesome experience. The interior design gives a very relaxed and mellow feel and definitely fits the vibe of the place. Very friendly and awesome owners who put a lot of hard work into their establishment and I hope to stop in before I leave town in a month. Everyone needs to try their take out meals. For $20.00 they serve four and is an entire meal homemade. Their sandwiches are enough for two people to heat and very healthy. New shop on Main Street in Calais. Delicious,made-to-order sandwiches. I'm pretty sure they were so delicious because the bread was so fresh and perfect. We bought some fresh dinner rolls and a few sweets to bring home. They didn't last long. In fact, I insisted we go back the next day before we left to go back to Boston so I could get some more cookies (I wanted a sandwich for the ride home but knew we would be back in a couple of weeks so I let the fun of anticipation win).
