Food is really good. The seafood chowder had good flavor and lots of seafood. Best we had on our trip to the region. The seafood pasta was also really good. Smaller portion then we are used to but still loaded with seafood and definitely enough to be satisfied. Mussels were cooked perfectly. Nice and tender and broth was flavorful. We enjoyed the view of the bay and explore it after dinner before sunset. Kids chicken was breast chicken breast which my son loved but my daughter did not. My sons grilled cheese was more of toasted cheese- needed some butter or oil on tbe outside to make it more crispy. Service was good. food came out fast.

Right on the ocean next to the wharf. Phenomenal view and patio. The wolfhead duo (smoked salmon open faced sandwich) was excellent. Great food and ambiance.

Lobster roll with barely any lobster. Maybe a spoonful. The rest was filled. $34.

The patatas bravas are always excellent, same is to be said of the tuna tartar or ceviche, whichever they have on the menu. I don't think I have ever eaten a plate that I did not like. I have my favourites, as one does, but everything that I have tried truly amuses my bouche. Servers are always punctual. I have never felt I have waited long for any plate or drink. The wine selection is above satisfactory, and they shake up a mean cocktail for those who prefer luscious tastes of liquor. They have a good selection of beer, if memory serves me correctly, but wine is much better suited for the food they serve. The whole restaurant is very nice. It was once a house that was converted to its current form. If you are lucky enough to be seated at the outside table with the fireplace, you are definitely in the best seats in the house. The view on the patio is stunning, as you gaze into the Passamaqoddy Bay. It is not always possible to get a reservation there, as it is rightfully seen as the pearl of the oyster that is the Saint Andrews food scene.

You can't beat being right on the main street *and* right on the water, which you can see from a few different viewpoints. When you enter at street level it's a shop, with wine and a selection of vintage cookbooks for sale. There's a big open room with comfy chairs and huge windows that look right out over the harbor, which I can imagine being a cozy vantage point in the fall or winter. In summer the main action is actually downstairs--yes, that steep staircase is the right direction--where there's a bar and more tables, a corner for musicians, and a wonderful outdoor bar setup where you can perch on a stool and gaze right out at the water. And you're not going to want to leave, because friendly owner Laura knows her stuff and will help you find the absolutely *perfect* glass of wine from an inventive selection of bottles and glasses, as well as daily specials like sangria. I appreciate how she asked what I like and then came up with something I hadn't had before that was delicious. You can nosh on charcuterie boards, olives, quiche, chocolate, and other little snacks like that, which to my mind = dinner, so why go anywhere else? In the two nights I was there I enjoyed chatting with both locals and visitors, and quite honestly I'd return to Eastport just to spend more time at Phoenix. It's not to be missed!

Wife asks to try a white wine. Gets delivered in a glass that is just out of the dishwasher and is piping hot. Woman who is main bar tender says to young woman trainee bartender that glass is too hot and in future should not use hot glasses for white wine. Gives it to my wife anyway; wine sample is very warm in glass. My wife asks to try another white wine to which main bartender hands her glass with microscopic sample while saying in an unfriendly voice "you know you cant try every wine in the bar". We are both stunned at this nasty and completely unwarranted comment. Btw this is a wine bar; asking for a taste of an unfamiliar wine before a $15-&18 pour is completely common and normal. A few minutes later a regular walks in with a friend; main bartender calls out by name a friendly greeting. By that time we had ordered two apps. A minute or two later main bartender and trainee are standing right in front of us when clearly and audibly to us main bartender says to trainee regarding regular she just greeted by name "watch out with [customer name]. He can be a real as***le". Wow. Right in front of customers talking smack about regulars. Classy. Apps were meh. Left without ordering mains.

Wine: GREAT list, most good global regions represented very well, some interesting grapes, and nice to see HIGH quality Canadian bottles. Prices are really impressively reasonable for such good wine, and potentially pretentious surroundings ;-) Service: Knowledgeable and very friendly. Seating about 20-30 people, this wine bar has a lot to offer. Great selection of wine both by the bottle and by the glass, easily broken down by taste profile to make choosing easier; good selection of traditional cocktails, beers, tequilas and scotch's. Although one can't order food from downstairs, they do offer great little cheese plates and meat trays that are ready to go on demand. We were there on a Wednesday night, which just happens to be their tasting night... Although I wasn't in the "mood" for a beer tasting, having the owner cotinuosly bring us a little sampler of the beers being offered made it hard to resist. We had a bottle of wine and a couple cocktails and ended up with a cheese plate and meat tray before the night was over. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can be sure that this will be a regular spot when I am in Fredericton on business in the future.

The toast was our favorite dish all week, with the mushrooms being perfectly cooked and the chèvre bringing a creaminess and slight funk to the dish. It was all delicious, and flavors were well-balanced, meaning acids and fats were paired well together. Food presentation was exceptional. Service was incredible, in that our waiter answered all of our questions and food came quickly. Additionally, my wife and I showed up at 5:30 and were promptly seated. I think being offset from the main intersection some helps with crowds. Ambiance was top tier with the water feature and greenery.
