It's very convenient that Crunch Fitness has so many locations near me. The Plano location is a bit farther west, but it was closer to our friend's place, so we decided to meet up here. They also had a promotion going on with bring a friend free for Cinco de Mayo weekend. The gym size is smaller than the East Plano location and has fewer equipment options. The free weights and machine areas also feel a bit more compact, with less space between sections. That said, I still like that they're open 24 hours on weekdays. I believe it's the only Crunch Fitness in the area with the flexible hours, probably due to being close to UTD. It's still a solid gym when I'm on this side of town. read more

I signed up for a 3 day pass online because I wanted to try out some gyms that were available in Plano and Bay Area (due to frequent travel). The gym itself was clean with good variety of equipment but does get very packed even after 7pm. The cardio equipment is a bit uncomfortable because the phone/tablet holder is way too low. Not good for posture to look down when doing cardio. The real issue with the gym is the false advertising. I assumed a 3 day pass meant 3 days of visits. After my first visit, the front desk worker said it was actually only one day but he gave me guest passes to come back again. When I came back today, I was told that the guest pass is one day only if you are brand new. They immediately asked for a day fee so it seems like a scam to get payment/commitment asap. I took the membership this year Jan, along with personal fitness coach. After the first class and after the sign up coach was not interested anymore, he did not inform that i should sign up for the classes and automatically money got deducted. When I schedule session for the already paid amount he did not show up. Cancelled membership all togther still i was charged, in the website they say that no contract, no hidden fees but when you try to cancel they will charge you hefty amount. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. It felt like the focus was more on collecting fees than actually providing the services promised. Watch out they're gonna try to sell you for something every time you come in-- The most expensive membership states that I can bring a guest for free every time. I pay for it so I can bring my girlfriend with me because we workout together everyday. We come everyday and every time I walk in or out I'm being harassed about signing her up! I told them to stop asking and she'll sign up if she wants to and they said "they're just doing their job". Is it your job to harass your paying members? I don't get why I pay for a free guest for them to bug me each time. it makes me want to cancel my membership and go to another gym honestly. I asked multiple workers to stop and they won't and argue with me about it each time. Super annoying and honestly don't know if it's worth coming here anymore when they can't even respect what I'm asking when I asked them kindly to stop. I am thoroughly obsessed with this place. I had been waiting for this gym to open for about 3 months and now it's finally here! This gym is so huge with most equipment you could ever want (minus ski machine!). But I am still completely sold. I have attended 3 classes so far and will definitely continue to go to more. There are countless cardio machines, 10!!! Squat racks, and multiple benches. Best gym around in my opinion. read more

I love this gym! I moved from 24hr to crunch because it's so much cleaner and the classes that are offered are much more accommodating to people who have 9 to 5 jobs. I also really love that There are gender specific saunas and this particular location does not get overwhelmingly busy for the types of workout I like to do! It's also nice because I live directly in the center of either Plano or now East Plano so I have options of where to go and what classes to take. I also like the size of this gym a little bit more than East Plano. I just feel like that one is almost too big. It's overwhelming but the Plano one is a great size! Will be trying out Frisco or Allen soon just because those have kids centers which I do feel like East Plano or Plano should really consider adding To comment on the annual fee, I will say when I signed up they were very transparent about that annual fee so to me there was no confusions. The locker room was great but the machines are VERY dated and the gym itself is pretty small. Completely different vibe inside the gym than what you would expect given the surrounding area. But I like that it's open 24 hrs on some days. read more

I called and spoke to someone that said they canceled my membership and then I look at my bank account a month or so later and they are still charging me! Pros: Front desk in the mornings (as soon as they open) are super helpful. Shout out to Christian and Kam. Also, the custodial lady, Ms. Teresa is super sweet. The ladies room is always clean and she's always around cleaning during morning hours on the weekdays. I love the group fitness classes that they offer, such as the HIIT and Boxing classes. I love that they provide quality wipes to clean/sanitize the machines before and after I use it. For the recovery area, I often use the massage chair and I love it. Cons: this might not be a problem for some members and future members but business hours starts at 5am on weekdays and 7am on weekends. My boyfriend and I prefer to work out the some time during the weekends as well so 7am is late for us. Also, there's time that we want to go to the gym at 4am on the weekdays. Additionally, I wish they have a smith machine with a different design because it doesn't go all the way down to atleast my shin. This is a con for me because there are some workouts that I prefer doing on a smith machine instead of setting up at the platform/squat rack area. read more

I love this gym and everyone that works there except for this middle aged looking woman. She has dark red hair and she always has a stink look on her face and isn't very welcoming. I've caught on to when she works now so I try to avoid going at those times. I wish she would just be in higher spirits like the rest of the staff instead of having a nasty attitude ALL THE TIME. She rarely says anything when I walk in and never says anything when I walk out. I've looked over when other people walk in/ out and she doesn't say anything to anyone else either. LIAR. FRAUD. On the first day, the salesperson told me I could get a one-month free membership and cancel anytime. That was a lie. After the first month, I was charged $20 for the next month's membership. When I went to cancel, another salesperson promised it was canceled and that $20 would be my last payment. Now, after two months, I've been charged $84 for an annual fee--even though I already canceled the membership! This gym was good when I started 1/2025 but it's progressively gotten extremely packed. People are lined up waiting for machines, cable resistance (there's only 2), and the weight room is overwhelmingly busy. Other locations are also busy but not this bad. However, there's tons of squat racks ‍ I guess you get what you pay for. The hydro massages are nice. Also forget getting a stairmaster. It's one of my favorite facilities to work out at, but all of the staff just seem to not have been trained on how to treat people. They show such low respect to members, down to multiple of them not even looking me in the eye when I checked in today and bought $15 worth of supplements. I'm a loyal member of Crunch Fitness West Hollywood and have been for many years. I travel often for work, I've never had any issue at any location until visiting this location. I've been an active guest over the last week, the amount of unprofessionalism that takes place in this location blows my mind. They are extremely rude at check in and I've never seen so many trainers stand around and talk shit about members of their gym. I called 2 of them out today because it's ridiculous to be that unprofessional and disrespectful to your customers. I would NOT Recommend this location. I will not be returning for the remainder of my stay. I would rather drive to a further location than come back to this establishment. Do better!! read more

Most definitely the worst experience I have ever had with the gym. I was scammed by one of the personal trainers and when I went to go address the situation with a manager, the personal trainer no longer works there and no one is willing to help fix the problem that was created. I have sent several emails. Several voicemails talked with managers personally. My account is still being charged for services I never received nor wanted. I have contacted my bank to try and reverse the payments but a manager at Crunch have reached out to my bank insisting I am responsible and continue to charge my card when I have never used their personal training nor this locations facilities. I have only been shown attitude and disrespect from the staff members. I was even told that it's "a personal problem" that " I don't have the funds". Brett bowers is the "manager" of personal training and has OBVIOUS anger issues. He is completely unfit to be the person to handle situations let alone customer service at all, most disrespectful interaction I have had. Even the other staff members apologized for how he talked to me! I was a crunch member when I lived in New Mexico for YEARS and tried to switch over to this location, And after my experience, I will never come here again. I can honestly say, this is the worst gym I have ever seen. However, I want to make clear the in-store staff have been great. They are professional, courteous, and extremely friendly. The gym, unfortunately, is the "Wal-mart" of gyms, very low quality. The parent company is extremely dishonest and pushes very aggressive, deceptive, dishonest marketing. The equipment is all brand new but not the newest tech. It is new, low quality, outdated equipment. The gym has not been open for 6 months, currently have low membership, but the seating on several machines and benches is already cracked and worn causing it to scratch you. If it's this bad after 90 days with little use, can you imagine end of the year? They pride themselves on their amenities, but they are all gimmicks and poorly done. For example: Sauna is very small (6 adults max) and it's not sealed. There is a ¼ inch gap under the door. The door does not close automatically. This means it's constantly losing heat. Even if it was sealed properly - due to the small size - every time the door opens, all the heat escapes. Sauna temperature is around 85 degrees at best. They have a group fitness class "The Hit Zone". It is separated from the gym floor by a ribbon, not a wall. When the class is in session the music is ridiculously loud and the instructor must scream into a microphone. Even with high quality noise canceling headphones it is impossible for you to listen to your play list while you work out. The class usually has around a dozen people so they ruin the experience for 90% of the customers (those on the gym floor) so the instructor can scream at 10%. Everything in the "Recovery zone" is cheap trash. The HydroMassage, massage, and cold recovery chairs are low quality massage chairs you can find in any nail salon. The Guest Privileges come with the catch your guest must be accompanied by an instructor. This means every time they come to the gym, they must sit through an hour marketing session. EVERY TIME. They advertise $9.99 a month membership but that is false. In addition to the membership fee, they have a processing fee. I asked about this and was told it's to recover the charge credit cards charge the gym. That's a lie. If you pay cash, you still must pay the processing fee. There is also a prorated annal fee and an enrollment fee. You also MUST consent to receive emails and text messages from Crunch and their "partners". This is them selling your information to advertisers. They say it's a month-to-month membership, but you cannot cancel until your 4th month. They have a clause which states you must pay your membership if the gym burns down. They claim to have 400 locations but only three are within 24 miles. There are multiple other failings but you should get the picture. To summarize: Great in-store staff, poor quality equipment, useless amenities, aggressive marketing, they sell your personal information. read more

I have researched many Gyms in my area and Crunch fitness really stood out! It has a truly fun and inclusive environment that just hits you as you walk in. The front desk team is always warm and welcoming, even when you leave they make sure to acknowledge you. The whole place is clean and easy to navigate. Plus, there is barley ever a wait for equipment! There's loads of varies types of equipment to use, which makes it hard to get burned on using the same stuff all the time. And more then enough free weight equipment. The bathrooms/locker rooms have showers, lockers, saunas, and private changing stalls. They also have pressure message chairs, hydro massage chairs, and chyrotherapy chairs. If you sign up for a personal trainer, you also get one on one precision messages, if you desire. Their personal trainers are fun and outgoing. They also look out for each others trainees when we come in to workout out in between training. Really helpful and super kind! I love everything about Crunch fitness and have been going for almost two months. The whole vibe and environment just keeps you motivated and inspired! Best gym by far! I love Crunch Gym Plano! The 5:30AM HIIT class with Marlo is such an awesome way to start the day. I love seeing my fellow Crunchers and starting my day with a good sweat! If I oversleep and miss it, I can always catch Naomi's HIIT class on Tuesday nights. Naomi's class is a killer! Cortez's Sat AM HIIT class is also a killer! I definitely build strength when I attend those classes. Zumba at 7PM is a guaranteed 400 calorie burn! Everyone in the classes is friendly and I feel a real community there. My trainer Yunis is a wizard! I reluctantly started working with a trainer for low back issues and I can't believe the improvement I have seen in my mobility. read more

Making the choice to join was easy. It has been a better experience than other mainstream gyms I have attended; I get my own space, friendly staff, very clean and the tanning beds are strong. I enjoy the classes. Spin is awesome so is yoga. The boxing and HIIT are hard (as they are supposed to be). I won't return to this location. Upon becoming a member there were steps missed by the enrolling staff, received a phone call a couple days later stating that "I" hadn't completed my enrollment and needed to return to the club to finish. I explained I signed up in the club and had worked out there a couple of times and nobody said anything. Returned and finished the enrollment. In my opinion some of the staff lack customer service skills. Only one out of the last four times I used this location did the showers have soap, the sauna at this location has been out of order several times, is smaller than other Crunch locations with limited very narrow benches. The final straw was not being asked but told to leave the cycle studio immediately because it was only for classes. First of all the approach could have been significantly better, second I've never been told I couldn't use a piece of equipment in any gym that wasn't in a locked room third if you don't want people to "wear out" your equipment in a studio put a couple out on the floor for general use. I've been in gyms all over North America for the last 24 years and never had this situation and rarely experience the poor customer service I experience here. In fact, as I was leaving I told the front desk personnel that I wouldn't be back and simple got a thumbs up in return. There is a EoS fitness opening nearby that's schedule to open in March of 2024, based on my experience with this location I would highly recommend looking at it before becoming a member at this particular Crunch location. I do currently use other Crunch locations that I have had zero issues with so this is definitely a local management issue and not a Corporate issue. read more
