My husband purchased a ring and bracelet for me as a special gift, spending close to $300 total. Before making the purchase, I specifically asked the sales associate multiple times whether both pieces were sterling silver and made with natural turquoise. We were assured that both items contained natural turquoise and sterling silver. Since returning home, I have had the ring examined by a local jeweler and was informed that the stone is actually dyed howlite rather than natural turquoise. As you can imagine, this was upsetting to learn, especially because the items were purchased as a meaningful vacation gift from my husband. What is most frustrating is that we relied on the representations made by your sales associate when making our purchase. Had we known the stone was not natural turquoise, we would have made a different decision. Unfortunately, we do not live locally, making an in-person return impractical. It was such a sweet experience. (Oh boy! Here come the honey and bee puns.) I was with a small group, and we were led through a guided honey tasting by Emily, the owner and operator of Queen Bee Artisan Market. The market is actually a shop that's located down the street from where the honey tasting takes place. Our honey-tasting session lasted about one hour. During the hour, we smelled and tasted different honey varietals -- some paired with locally made cheese, some tasted by themselves. Emily told us about the unique characteristics and origins of each honey we sampled. It was like a wine tasting, but with honey! Emily has a little gift shop in the tasting room; if you're so inclined to purchase some honey to take home with you, you can. You can also visit the artisan market down the street to find more of Emily's goodies. I highly recommend the honey tasting, if you're visiting Lake Geneva with a group. It's such a unique and memorable experience, and not one that you can find many places.

The shop is in an old bank building, and the building's features - teller wall and vault - are in use. The shop is organized well and beautiful, and is a comfortable place to visit. Most of all, I think I appreciate the genuine community focus and the non-pretentious feel of interacting with others. I understand that they host community gatherings, which I hope to experience soon. Otherwise, I will be there on the next day that I'm ready to read something new and have no idea what it should be.
