I come here for incense and sage, but often find myself checking out books, stones, and other goods as well.

How bazaar! This place has big deals in Little China! This…read moresouvenir shop has it all. If you wanna look like you've been to China with a bunch of Chinese stuff made in China, this is the place. They do have things relating to Chicago, but a lot of the stuff is just Chinese stuff that'll sit around your house gathering dust. Think lots of little statues, vases, cups, bowls. I feel like a bull in a China shop in here- all the aisles and merchandise is so jammed close together, that every time I turn around, I feel like I'm going to break some fragile jade egg or some bamboo vase. They also sell Chinese clothing, which all seemed a bit small for my tastes. But it's pretty. It's a shop in a nice location- it's sort of in the souvenir district of Chinatown- there's a few cool other similar shops on the same street, right in front of the Chinese archway that leads you into Chinatown.

Fun little souvenir shop with a wide range of 装饰品诀窍…read more(Zhuāngshì pn) which I think means knick knacks or decorations. They sell calligraphy pens but I wasn't able to write this, though I tried for a full 5 minutes. The staff is helpful, and patient. There's quite a bit of stuff crammed into a small space, and it ranges from the very cheap (and looks very cheap) the to the inexpensive (and doesn't look cheap) souvenirs to nice decorations. It's too tight with too many fragile items to bring in younger children (unless they are very well behaved) but there are lots of toys to give to children as gifts. Not surprisingly it's all made in China, including the Japanese sake serving sets which are quite a bit cheaper than you would find elsewhere. It's really fun to shop here, and you can't leave Chinatown with out some sort of souvenir, right?

So much to do and see! It's a smaller area, but don't let that fool you. As we waited for our table at Qing Xiang Yuan Dumplings, we decided to walk around outside and by chance we literally stumbled upon an old-school car show. So..naturally, we joined the crowd and suddenly found ourselves weaving between classic exotic cars in the middle of Chinatown. See pictures for an old chevy with a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the backseat. Yup, you read that right. A lot of parking around the area and super easy to get to by train if needed.

The gateways and storefronts and courtyard have beautiful ornate Imperial-based designs. On the plaza, you'll find some classic lions and a wonderful set of sculptures from Xiamen representing the Chinese Zodiac. We've been to several good restaurants here, and a nice candy shop, too. Oh, one more thing. Those are not $100 bills scattered here and there. It's very eye-catching advertising! Haha! But I'll take off one star, sorry, because of a lack of restful seating. One of us had some back pain the day we visited, (Nov 2025), and though there were a few low square individual seats scattered around, there were no benches or chairs that we could find with any kind of arms or backs that one could lean on to make it easier to get up again.

What a lovely gallery located amidst a sea of dusty, Chinatown shops. Calming music is playing and the smell of incense permeates the air. We were immediately greeted upon entering and directed to an area where I hoped to find a unique birthday gift for a friend. The shop is divided into two rooms with even an area of unique toys for children in the back. Prices are as expected for a gallery of this nature, but definitely a little pricey if you compare them to all the other shops along this strip. But nothing else on this stretch of Wentworth compares. As I worked my way from one room to the next- I could think of other people I knew who would love a gift from a store like this. I was curious as to why this location was chosen as it just doesn't seem to fit the neighborhood. There was nothing particularly Chinese about this place (although there are a couple of Chinese novelties by the counter). But then the sales person heard me wondering aloud to a friend and she did tell me that the owner is Chinese American and wanted to support the neighborhood and feels that the gallery will stand on it's own. A lovely and interesting shop that I will return to again. And as for that birthday gift I was looking for? Hand painted martini glasses for a martini loving friend!

It's so much more, it's definitely a diamond in the rough. There are so many interesting and eclectic products that it can take you a couple of hours or more to really enjoy everything they have to offer. I found myself taking several mental notes on all the beautiful home decorations that I want to place in my future house to beautify it and make it unique. They have a lot of eastern inspired products from middle eastern to asian. There were also these mosaic mirrors that were just wonderful! A perfect vanity mirror or conversational piece in the living room. The owner remembered the little ones too, there was an area of gifts and toys for children too! When you step over to the gallery side, my first thought was, WOW! This artist is truly talented. His worked ranged from beautiful flower paintings to animals, to dr. seuss!! I loved the dr. seuss paintings and the artistic looking lamps. I'm looking forward to visiting Chicago again very soon and often! And I'll be sure to be stopping by this little treasure each time, even if I just want to day dream =)
