Interestingly enough, to many locals, it's biggest claim to fame is a cameo in the locally filmed 1990 movie "Edward Scissorhands" (you can see the arch leg from the beauty salon scene). Right now it holds a nice variety of stores: Publix, Office Depot, Hallmark, Babe's Shoes & Apparel, Beall's Outlet (just opened last month), Tuesday Morning, and Crowder Brothers Ace Hardware. There are a few empty stores, but it's not noticeable. There is also a stand alone Five Guys Burgers and a Starbucks in the front of the parking lot. The parking lot is quite large and maintained nicely.

Not only is it always clean and the shelves packed and organized but the service from the Managers (especially Sherry) and ALL the staff is exceptional. I tell you staff leadership are usually are present helpful and never too busy to go check with you for items Or call stores nearby If they don't have what I need. Businesses grow because of relationships formed with PEOPLE not organizations and I can say that this Dollar Tree will always have my business for It's great customer service. I am filing this review because what happened at the Ross store at 3615 S Florida Ave, Lakeland, FL…read moreon December 29 around 6:10 PM was completely unacceptable. An employee named Sara behaved in an openly rude, hostile, and disrespectful manner. She spoke with clear attitude, used aggressive body language, and acted annoyed toward customers when they could not hear her. This was not normal "bad service" -- it was deliberate and unprofessional behavior. I was shopping with my autistic sister and my autistic daughter, and Sara's behavior directly caused my daughter to become overwhelmed and begin pancaking, a serious stress response in autistic individuals. Any employee working with the public should know better than to escalate a situation involving a child with disabilities. To make matters worse, Sara made an incorrect and unfounded accusation, which only increased stress and embarrassment for my family. This crossed a line. When I spoke with another employee, I was told this is not the first time and that her attitude toward customers is a known issue. This is not just poor customer service -- it is a pattern of behavior that Ross management needs to address immediately. Customers with disabilities deserve respect, patience, and basic human decency. I strongly urge store management and corporate to review this incident, address this employee's conduct, and ensure proper customer service and disability-awareness training. Ignoring this kind of behavior puts Ross at risk of losing customers and trust.

I was in line for over 30 minutes! In the meantime, I see other employees wandering about working on other tasks, I suppose. It seems it should be all employees checking customers out when the line is this long. Other store tasks can wait.

They do have vendors that sell miscellaneous "junk" and we have bought a few items from them as well. This may not be a place for the bougie, albeit we did see some booths with bougie (in our minds eyes) items for sale. Even though we have been here a few times I still don't think we have traversed the entire property. There is just so much and so many booths. We'll be back again. Palm Center is most easily passed by and ignored. There are tons of strip mall/ centers in Lakeland…read morelike mostly any city, so this one doesn't particularly stick out upon first glance. But recently I've found myself visiting Palm Center a lot more often. It's actually got quite a lot going for it. At this strip you can get in a workout (Plant Fitness), eat some sushi or sandwiches (New Moon Sushi & Subway), get car essentials (NAPA), office & house essentials (Staples & Big Lots), get your haircut (Lakeland Barber), go to church (Access Church), or get your alcohol restock (ABC Liquors). You can also get a nice pre or post workout, church or shopping juice or smoothie from Juice Box, go shopping at the Christian Bookstore, get your taxes taken care of at H&R Block, or hit up the consignment store. Oh, and there's a Cici's Pizza if you don't want sushi or a sub. I still haven't named all of the businesses in this complex, but you can see my point right? The only unfortunate thing is that despite the range of Palm Center, it's really not well maintained. A lot of it seems to be nearly falling apart and dirty especially on the outside. Thus, why the strip is also so easily passed by. It's not nice on the outside, so many know that equates to being looked over a lot. But don't! Because Palm Center has much to offer!

They had a wide variety of inventory including furniture, home goods, clothing, books, and holiday decorations. There was even a saddle which is how you know you are in farm country. My favorite booth was the vintage kitchen with the vintage Pyrex I love. I found the prices on the Pyrex to be comparable to other stores I have shopped in Central Florida. G's does a great job decorating their windows for the holidays and right now it is Christmas themed.
