I think everybody should be going to Crystal Nails for their pedicures! Make sure you budget yourself some time to be there though because this is indeed a spa pedicure, don't let the price fool you. If you're looking for a get in and get out pedi you won't find it here. This place used to be good, but now they do a horrible job! They cut my toe nails crooked! I was so pissed. Then she tried to file them straight which still wasn't straight. $18 for a pedicure, foot and leg massage, hot wax treatment AND hot stone massage......is unheard of. All this is achieved with great respect, and given with the right measure of strength and gentleness. This is not a fancy salon but it is clean and the instruments are sterilized.....the massage chairs are comfortable . I chose my colour and it was perfect. Had it not been, it would have been my own fault!!! My daughters and I regularly come for pedicures and manicures. The pedicures are the best! We love the massages, choice of organic products, the time spent on us each time we come. My daughters love the sweets provided and the overall experience has always been great. Crystal is very "hands on" and always attends to our needs. My daughter had mosquito bites on her legs and she even went out of her way to put on a topical treatment and sent her home with it. Worked magic for her. read more

I got my nails done here yesterday for the first time and I am satisfied with how they came out. The man who did them was quick but he didn't make a mistake only that he cut me which is likely to happen when getting your nails done, I believe. Wanted to pamper my mom with a mani pedi and this place was close by and had decent reviews so I thought we'd give it a shot. Well I can honestly say we will be back but only to see one particular technician. Stacy the young gal did an amazing job but then had time to do only a pedicure. She had an appointment she needed to honor. So my poor mother got passed on to the tiny older woman who couldn't do my mother's whole manicure. She painted 3 fingers and then decided to pass us off to the old man who clearly ran the place. He takes smoke breaks every 10 minutes so don't expect a job well done. He finished painting the rest of my mom's nails and when I commented on the poor paint job. Instead of cleaning it up with polish remover and a brush he proceeds to run his nasty nail over the parts of my mom's cuticles that he over painted. I immediately said "Please use polish remover!" He obliged with a dirty look all the while speaking to the older woman rudely obviously making us think he was pissed at us or complaining to her. When it comes time to pay, of course he is confused and says extra money "we take polish off." My mom is not a vain woman. She works hard in her garden. She does not paint her own nails. I argued that he was confused. He said fine. I pay him without a tip but then I walk over to Stacy and give her a tip the same price as the pedicure costs and she goes "I think u pay already". I said "I did but this money is just for u becuz u did an amazing job." Avoid this place if u can. Definitely recommend this place! I've been to a couple different places around Modesto for a pedi and this place is by far my favorite. The pedis are $18 and worth every penny. So when I walked in the lady told me it was going to be a 30 min and I waited over 45 minutes and then she told me that I HAD to come back tomorrow because she was tired but if she would have told me from the beginning I would have not wasted my time and went to another salon or came back tomorrow but she didn't tell me, but another customer came in for a manicure as well and she took her in although she didn't have an appointment either. And not to mention whenever a customer called she made a rude remark about the customers questions of thier services. We enjoyed the friendness, the kindness the small talk we had with each and every family member who worked there that day (Family owned). At first glanced I was very pleased with my nails but that's only at first glance. Im not sure if I'd come back here(if I do it won't be for shellac). I feel like the price wasn't appropriate for the outcome of the nails. It's $20 for shellac and with my nails, along with my friends you can see through the color and see my actual nail like the color wasn't evenly dispersed I don't know really. Although the ladies are nice and after they did our nails they moisturized & somewhat massaged our hands and it felt so relaxing. I'm sure the other services have better outcomes though. read more

This salon is amazing, I would give it 10 stars if I could.I went here with my Mom and grandparents. We all agree that it was the best pedicure we have ever had. They treat you with a stone massage, place your feet in a bag of warm wax, oil, and a warm towel, plus a massage chair all for $18.00. Went to Crystal Nails for the first and last time on 2/10/17. It took 2 hours to get a manicure and a pedicure. And that's with no waiting. I had someone doing the manicure while someone else did the pedicure. I'm not satisfied with the way either of them came out. Then someone else massaged my hands after the manicure. They asked for separate tips for anyone who touched me. Even though I didn't ask for 3 people. I thought this was ridiculous. read more

I made an appointment the same day and they were ready for me when I arrived, which is a relief because this place is usually packed! Lady who did my pedicure was very nice and talkative. she was pleasant to work with, she took her time on my pedicure which i really appreciate. she also did an awesome job with the foot massage! I will be coming back again. only negative thing about this place is that their color selection is VERY outdated and limited. they need a lot more variety of new colors. other than that my pedicure experience was great and the price is very reasonable! read more

I went into crystal nail for the first time yesterday. I made an appointment in advance, arrived a little early and waited about 5 minutes while they fixed my pedicure water. Reasonable wait. The staff and patrons felt like home right away, chatting with one another. Very friendly and sweet. Pedicure was wonderful - for $18 you get all the fixings like wax, hot stone massage, etc. You get your bang for your buck here. Next was my manicure with a new set of nails. I came prepared with a picture of the shape, length and color i wanted my nails - all to which was done very nicely and to my liking. I am happy with their work, prices, customer service. The lady told my sister it was going to be a 30 minute wait then made her wait for about 45 mins. When it was my sister's turn the lady told her she was not going to do any more nails and and that she was tired and other things that made my 14 year old sister cry.
