Please don't be naive like me. I got acrylic nails for my sisters wedding. After the wedding I wanted to take them off. I figured it didn't matter if a place had 3 stars because I just wanted to get the acrylic removed and not my nails done. But boy was I wrong and stupid! The guy pulled off the nails one by one and then with a cuticle remover started tugging at the pieces left over. This is what happened to my thumb and the other nails are badly chipped. Unfortunately this place has started to grow into itself and management may be getting complacent with quality, general cleanliness and customer service. Very sad as it has such potential and could continue to be a nice place but the excessive boxes from new shipments, nail file dust, general disorganization makes it not very appealing. I have to say I had the most amazing experience at LYS nail spa with my nail tech Jay! Not only was he extremely professional but took my nail concerns to heart. Horrible service...I paid $30 for a basic pedicure, and the polish came off the next day. They spent about 15 minutes on my feet, and they stated I have to pay more to dry the polish. The guy took a piece of paper and fan my nails for 2 seconds. By the way, they also charge $2 extra for credit or debit card payment. I will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for two years. Over the last two years I've seen this place Customer service go down every time I go there. The last few times Jay the owner has been screaming at customers and going back-and-forth with them. Today was the breaking point, I will never return to the nail salon ever again. They treat their customers like they are just trash. Today I seen Jay push a customer all because she was trying to explain to him how she wanted her nails done and he got mad for no reason. There should be no reason why an owner should be putting their hands on a customer and screaming to the top of his lungs. As I was getting my nails done I explain to the nail tech I did not like how my nails were coming out. She immediately stopped and caught a attitude and stated to me that I would have to pay for my nails even if I like them or not. I explain to her that I never said that I was not going to pay for them but let me explain to you how I want my nails to be done. She told me to stop talking. I stated to her don't you ever talk to me like that ever again in your life. I have not once been rude so don't come at me like that. After I got my nails done I talked to Jay who is the owner and he said there's nothing he can do about the way she talk to me. As a owner how can you not talk to your employees about the way they talk to the customers. If you don't have any customers what business what you have. read more

So, I was hesitant to review this place initially. Not sure why. Today was my 4th time going there. My first 2 experiences were pretty good, my 3 was ok, but nail tech was a bit rude, and this last time was horrible. The guy who did my nails just wanted to rush everything. I told him a few times that him cutting my cuticles hurt. He listened when he was doing my pedicure. My manicure however, he butchered two of my fingers and kept telling me to relax . I'm like you hurt me. He didn't care. When he was done with the gel polish, he filed the side of my nails and cuticle I pulled my had away only to see that my finger was bleeding. He still had the nerve to pull out the drill for lord knows what reason. My nails aren't nice, two have cuts and no one cared because I also mentioned it at checkout. They get mad about anything you question them about. especially when you are spending your money you want your nails and pedicure done right. Okay! First time customer experience and overall I am thoroughly pleased. I opted for the paraffin pedicure ($45) with gel polish which is an actual steal.. my guy did not disappoint. It did take quite a bit of time however, I must say I have NEVER had a more thorough pedicure in my life. Literally new feet. On my natural nails I chose a dip ombré which I absolutely love. Perfectly shaped and no mess around the nail or skin, completely clean. Minus the 3 hour service time, yes I know, honestly this place is worth a shot. Was visiting from out of town for New Years and needed to get a gel pedicure for the evening festivities. I saw that this place had no reviews but was willing to give it a shot. The plaza was easy to find and was buzzing on this Saturday evening but I was able to easily find parking. I walked into the shop to be greeted by some of the technicians and was immediately directed to a spa pedi chair (brand new). The pedicure was pretty good, I felt that the hot towel service could have been a bit longer and there was not hot stone service available (which is my favorite back home). They had a huge selection of gel colors and my feet felt soft and rejuvenated after my pedicure (mission accomplished). After the pedicure I decided to get a basic manicure since my cuticles were overgrown and resembled those creatures from Stranger Things . The gentleman promptly started to whack away at those and give them a nice buffing. I wasn't aware that they were not accepting credit cards so I had to step out really quickly to grab cash from the Wells Fargo ATM next door (5steps away) during which time the gentleman attempted to speed smoke a cigarette. When we went back inside to finish my polish the smell from the cigarette was a little much since I am sensitive. Might not bother others. ‍ Overall, I would recommend this nail salon for a gel pedicure and basic manicure. Just make sure you don't catch a tech right after a smoke break if you're sensitive like me. Fair prices and quick service are enough reason to return for me. Thanks for reading read more

horrible. they are so rude. I asked them to give me pink gel on my nails. and then jimmy said my nail wasn't flat. which it isn't fully but the gel flattens it out. I said it multiple times that I wanted pink gel and he kept repeating the the clear gel. He ended up doing it and I abs hated it and then was charged $33 for a clear coat in my natural nail. That's insane. This used to be my regular spot but they try to do your nails so fast to finish with you that they don't even take out the cuticle. I have a picture from when I went to a nee lady right away I left another time and he put acrylic all over my cuticle. the Acrylic wouldnt even melt the 100 acetone she was using on me. Save yourself the trouble and don't come here. It's a waste of money that could be used on worthy stuff. read more

I added a star because the place was clean. I arrived at this nail shop around 2 on a Monday. There were only two technicians so I had to wait a bit but I didn't mind because of how clean the salon was and because I was greeted as soon as I walked in by one of the technicians. 1) When he was able to start my nails I told him what I wanted and explained that I had a certain color powder underneath the gel polish. He chose two that he thought would match. The first one he used to fill in my nails was way too dark but he proceeded to use it and then switched to a lighter one that seemed to match perfectly. I thought he was going to fix the darker ones but he told me "it doesn't matter, you're going to cover it with polish anyway." I did not make a big deal about it. But I already thought that was strike 1. 2) He begins to use the drill to shape my nails. It felt as if he was going too deep and I told him that it hurt. He continued and then examined one of my fingers closely, sprayed alcohol on it and continued. It burned. I was in pain during this whole service. When I was told to wash my hands, my finger was bleeding to the point I had to use one of their towels to add pressure. The pain and the bleeding stopped a bit and I was ready for him to paint my nails. 3) I was a little upset that he didn't tell me my finger was bleeding and that he continued to clip away at my cuticles and drill underneath my nails too deep. When he returned to the chair he smelled like smoke. And after he painted my nails I asked him to add big & little rhinestones in the corner of my nails. He added all the same sizes and told me this looks better. I was in a rush to head to work right after so I didn't have time to express my disapproval of the service or even examine my nails. But when I got in the car, MY FINGERS WERE BURNING AND STIFF FROM THE PAIN. (Still recovering from 6 days later) THE PAINT JOB ON MY LEFT HAND IS TERRIBLE. The only thing I am satisfied with is the color I CHOSE. Now I have to wait for my cuticles to heal till I can get my nails done again. the nails of the hands nice, but I was doing manicure and pedicure and in the pedicure the only thing they did was paint my nails. They didn't clean, they didn't cut, they did absolutely nothing. Very pleased with my visit today!! Super clean and friendly!! Had a gel manicure and regular pedicure along with eyebrows and eyelashes. In and out the door. Didn't even have to wait! The best part! The lady didn't dig into my toenails when doing my pedicure. And the other lady was really gentle with the drill, no cuts from being in a hurry!! About a week ago I accidentally stumbled onto This disaster. I walked in to get my nails done, and in the process of getting my nails done, the nail tech (Jacob)constantly got up to do other client's pedicure. After five days of getting my nails done I lost 3 nails. Not only is that frustrating to lose several nails , but what made matters worse is when I went back to get those nails fixed. They gave me another nail tech that couldn't even do the job correctly. I didn't complain. However, what made me completely furious. Is only 2 days later‍ one of the nails that were Re-did is already broken off and 2 is lifting. I'm not the type of woman that do not know how to maintain my nails. This place is a hit or miss, tbh. Tammy, Jimmy and Laura are by far the best nail artists and you can confidently trust that they will do an amazing job on whatever you ask of them. I would know, since I have tried just about everyone, over the past 3-4 years. Sadly, the rest of the staff is very dodgy on their performance and since there's new people working now (some are learning-level when it comes to skills) you need to be cautious of who you choose. Overall, I love their abundance of nail colors, nail art, techniques, etc. But dislike how rushed the artists can be sometimes, in order to get more costumers, and the fact that not all of them are reliable on their work. read more

I am never going back!! They do not know how to do nails. The nail tech I had was a older guy with gray hair. All I wanted to get was a gel overlay and since I wear my nails short, I wanted that natural look. He made my nails look short, fat and thick. I asked him to make my nails look more natural. He still wouldn't listen to my requests and then he started to get an attitude because I kept telling him that I didn't like the way my nails looked and I kept asking him to fix it. Honestly it's a hit or miss with this place. The older gentleman who works there is very good at toes but when it came time for my nails it and they came out terrible.
