We went on our 2nd tour last night with CSK, a sunset kayak on the west side of San Juan Island. Our 1st trip with them with a multi-day biking/kayaking trip while staying in inns on different islands. Both of our experiences with CSK have been fantastic. From the communication and flexibility of the office staff, the guides, the routes they select, to the the equipment, everything was a great experience. I called a few places before booking with CSK. They were a little more expensive, but it was worth it. As an experienced kayaker, I did not need the boring 1 hour lesson as part of a 3-hour total program. We also left from docks at Snug Harbor vs. a beach launch. I highly recommend this as Snug Harbor is spectacular, and we didn't have to worry about getting wet or sandy from the beach. Plus they have nice bathrooms :) We saw several bald eagles on our paddle, and the views were glorious. (see pic attached). Net/net - you can't go wrong with CSK. Enjoy your trip!

From the moment our guide Tim met us from our excursion we knew we were in for a treat. He gave us excellent paddling pointers that we utilized throughout our trip, had great energy and was very informative about the region. We had an absolutely glorious time kayaking around San Juan Island and definitely hope to do this trip again when we are up there in the future.

A well-run kayaking outfit. Nine clients/customers and two guides with a five day/four night paddle from San Juan to Stewart Island to Jones Island and back to SJ. In addition to myself and friend, there was a group of four, a couple, and a single person, all of whom did not know each other bofore launching. Crystal Seas did well to match the personalities and abilities on this patchwork quilt of a group. While CS and the guides cannot control the weather, they did a fabulous job of minding the winds and the currents to make our crossings as easy as possible. The guides worked tirelessly to make us comfortable and very well fed. Fortuitously, our wildlife sightings were plentiful: orcas, eagles, salmon, seal lion, and harbor seals, not to mention myriad seabirds. CS provided everything but the sleeping bags [though you can rent those, as well] and the equipment was well cared for and good quality. I would use CS again for a San Juan adventure. Unsolicited advice: be honest with yourself [and CS] about your desire to paddle and ability to paddle for long stretches. Our weather/winds/tides really could not have been better, but be prepared for some work. Personally, I like that, but not all kayakers do.

My wife and I highly recommend to everyone we speak to about our vacation. Fantastic week of activities and just as much relaxation. Casey was the perfect fit giving us info and conversation when we wanted it and space to explore on our own. He was also a top notch camp chef who feed us much better than we expected. During our 5 day paddle we saw so much natural beauty specific to the Pacific Northwest. Otters, deer, racoons, sea lions, starfish, TONS of seals, and so many more. The sunsets from Jones island the first two nights were postcard worthy. If our journies bring us back to San Juan Island we won't hesitate to book another excursion with Crystal Seas Kayaking.

We had a kayaking sunset tour with Crystal Seas last week and the experience was wonderful! First of all I really like their kayak. Compare with other kayaks I had before, their's is easy to fit in and more steady in the current, plus their special designed dock, it's perfect for people who are new to this sport. Also their guides put safety first and keep an eye on the clients all the time. My guide is also very knowledgeable, and very important, he passes his passionate and his love of the beautiful Mother Nature to everybody. I highly recommend Crystal Seas Kayaking to every tourist to San Juan island, I feel they truly represent the island spirit. Besides half day tours and sunset tours, they also provide multi day kayaking tours and biking & kayaking tours, all looking good. I'm already planning to come back with them next year!

We are experienced kayakers but wanted to go with a group that had local knowledge. We were on a three-day, two night visit. We kayaked for two days with some side hikes and went on a whale-watching trip on the third day. Crystal Seas arranged our lodging and meals and everything was great. Our guide, Annie was great. Especially with the challenging weather, she adapted the plans and crafted a great day"

I went on the sunset tour, with Tim as our guide, with my sister and a visiting cousin.. We had a great two days staying at Friday Harbor, due in part, for kayaking.. Tim made us feel safe, he was fun, knowledgable, all in all a great guide.. Beautiful scenery, and the big plus, was getting to see a bald eagle up closer than I ever have, could see his talons, eyes looking at us, WOW! read more

We booked a three hour mother-daughter trip with Crystal Seas Kayaking and loved every minute of it. William was the perfect guide - clear, precise, knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. He gave meticulous instructions for good form while paddling and for basic safety. We loved his peaceful presence and felt so grateful for a serene trip on some really glassy waters! read more

We took a full day kayak trip. My wife and I kayak regularly so we were comfortable with how it should work. The problem is that we wanted to see whales. They are splashed all over the web site. We knew there was a "chance" we would not see the whales. When we got there, the guide told us he doubted we would see the whales as they are not there right now. Very frustrating. The equipment was nice and well maintained. Getting in on the docks was great even though i have some mobility problems. The guide was nice. I'm not sure I would call him a "naturalist" as I knew more than him on a lot of things. The family that was with us were kind of crazy. They kayaked hard and vigorously - like it was a race. I was more in the mood to look around, take pictures, etc. we thought the guide should have more assertively set the pace. We kayaked to keep up. It was kind of crazy. I was sore for a few days afterwards and remember I do kayak regularly. So all in all it was okay. Good boats, good guide, good scenery. Felt a bit like the whale thing was false advertising. Feel like we could enter a kayak race now! Once our blisters heal from our vigorous paddling, we will probably like it better. Next time we will do a boat to improve our chances of seeing the whales. read more
Bought the sun set kayaking from groupon and went with few friends. It's really a fun and Definately recommend. We got Irine and abbey as our kayaking instructor and they were really cool and told us a lot of the San Juan islands history while kayaking towards the sunset. read more

We did the sunset kayak tour and loved it! They have an office right by Friday Harbor but they drive you to snug harbor resorts where we take off. The kayaks were in great shape and they even give you extra protection from the water so you don't have to worry about getting your bottom half wet. The guides were very friendly and informative. They take you along the west coast of San Juan Island and we were lucky enough to see a pod of whales! J pods we believe. They got so close to us--within ten feet. We were a little nervous but we huddled together and stayed still while they passed by. Not every tour is as lucky as us but I'm sure you will still have a good time. The sunset tour is the best I think because you won't get sunburned and the views are great. read more

Great little three hour tour. Sets off from Snug Harbor (the West side of the Island has better weather - something about how clouds break up over the ONP). It is really peaceful there, as was the trip. A young man (Cory) met us who was very nice and efficient and got us into the water very quickly. I did miss the Groupon and have to pay the $85/person rate but it was well worth it. Saw seals swimming and laying on rocks, blue herons, bald eagles, ducks and interesting marine life (negative tide). Later in the year (June and after) you'll probably see whales. Beautiful houses to look at and Canada to the west. By far, the best part was the info from Cory. Usually. I'd rather rent a kayak and do whatever I want - Luckily I booked this tour instead; we learned about the history of the Island, types of marine life and birds, how to identify birds by the position of their nests and about the homes we past by. Really did learn a lot of interesting things. Did you know that the world's foremost authority on Killer whales has a house on the island and does his work there? Or, that the Campbell's soup family owns a home on this coastline and has a room in the shape of their soup can? Or, that there is an Island that was bought by the owner of Oakley sunglasses and turned into a wild game hunting reserve? They have good boats and spray skirts so we stayed warm and dry. Our guide was so knowledgeable; he led us a bit and then let me and my lady have some space to goof and whisper sweet nothings. Remember to bring cash to tip your guide - if you forget you can do it at the office in Friday Harbor, though. read more

Indeed, I have experienced a much better San Juan Island kayaking tour, which is led by multiple guides and provides drinking water and lunch. I brought a Groupon. I reserved for a whole day tour in May. However, due to low enrollment, my tour was canceled at the last minute. I moved my reservation to July. Today my friend and I had a young tour guide(Erin) who is informative but not experienced to give padling instructions to beginner like my friend. As a result, my friend has not paddled correctly and hurt his hands. The front desk staff members are friendly but lack professionalism. Overall I was disappointed. My other San Juan Islad kayaking tour surely sat my standards high. read more

My family went out with Crystal Seas Kayaking for a 3 hour tour during our summer trip. It was a gorgeous day, and the water was perfect for kayaking! Our guide, Joe, was fantastic. He had a great knowledge of the area we were in, and pointed out all sorts of neat things to us - from landmarks, to starfish, to cool cave areas accessible by kayak only during high tide (which is when we went!). I mentioned my love of otters, and he kept an eye out for river otters the whole 3 hours, and because of his good eye we were able to see one on the beach. It made my day! He also helped us out by mentioning great places to eat on the island, including his mother's bakery, which we ended up visiting twice because it was so good! The kayaks themselves were easy to use, and even my 9 year old niece was able to use it well with no prior experience. Everything felt safe, and we were able to relax and take in the sights. We would definitely kayak with Crystal Seas again! read more
Hubby and I went on a "sunset kayak tour". Neither of us had been kayaking before and thought this would be a romantic outing as part of our anniversary weekend. It was a Monday and late in the tourist season, so we were the only people on the tour. The guide was extremely patient and helpful with us as beginners. We had a blast! The guide was informative and easy going. We saw a group of Orcas jumping about, porpoises, seals and lots of birds. The wildlife we saw was definitely a bonus and in no way controlled by the tour company. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend, especially a first-time kayaker. Now that I know what I am doing I would probably rent one and go out on my own terms. I do think this was well worth the money. read more

My friend and I went sea kayaking on a Monday afternoon. We walked in and asked if there were any spots available - the lady at the counter called to check at the harbor and confirmed spots. It was $75 for each person in the summer. We were given rides to the harbor on their shuttle. Our tour guide was Matt, who was really helpful and approachable. It was my first time kayaking, and the waters were calm and with his guidance, I felt like I'd been kayaking forever. He knew quite a lot about the island and was very sociable. We were out with two other couples and everyone was nice to talk to. I had a really great time kayaking and kind of want to buy my own kayak now. This was probably my favorite activity on the island. We didn't compare prices because we just decided to walk in and take whatever we could get. I made a comment to my friend about how I'd been spending so much money just on the island. I meant it as a "HAH this is hilarious and sad how poor I'm becoming" and the lady at the counter was super nice and offered me a 10% student discount even though I hadn't asked. Thanks! read more

This place was great! Super accomodating to our last minute planning the day of when all others said they were full. We didn't see any whales....looks like we missed them by only about 30 minutes. No orca whales seen, but had a good time! Booked on Groupon for $55 -- great deal! Let me start off by saying don't be put off by the folks answering the phone. They're not all that friendly but it's not reflective of the tour itself. I was worried that the snarky, condescending attitude I got over the phone with both attendants would translate into a bad tour -- not the case! William was a fantastic guide and really put in the work to give us a great afternoon of kayaking. Basically he saved the day for Crystal Seas. Because we didn't want to be at the ferry docks in Anacortes at the crack of dawn, we decided to go with the half day kayaking trip. First, William got us situated in the kayaks (a real process if you're not familiar with it) and gave a quick kayaking lesson so that every stroke would count. The wind was strong and the waves were pretty rough, so we spent the majority of the time in calmer waters rather than out in the open area. Though this reduced our chances of seeing orcas (we didn't), we still saw seals, starfish and many bald eagles! William was a certified naturalist and provided a lot of information on the local marine life, as well as a bit of history on the old British camp area along the shoreline. He was extremely patient with us, and we never felt pressured to go faster than we were comfortably going. All in all, a fantastic afternoon in the San Juans. read more

My wife and I recently went on a three day/two night kayak camping trip with Crystal Seas and the trip surpassed our (high) expectations. Our guide was excellent: knowledgeable about the islands and wildlife, lots of kayaking experience, and a personable, interesting person. The food was terrific and plentiful; I've never eaten so well on a camping trip and it was obvious they're buying higher end, local and organic foods. If you like to eat you won't be disappointed. And then the islands! They were splendid, as always. This was an excellent trip and Crystal Seas runs a professional, high quality operation. I strongly recommend a visit to the San Juans and a kayak trip with Crystal Seas. read more

Wonderful 3-hour sea kayaking trip on the coast line! Loved getting out on the water in such a stunning location. Our guide, Tim, phenomenal - so funny and knowledgeable and really clued his group into the magic and natural wonder of the island. We saw a sea otter, so many birds, incredible algae (it grows 16 inches a day!!) and more. It was wonderful and a very special part of my visit to the Pacific Northwest! read more

Nice organization Knowledgeable guide New Kayaks Instruction for beginners Spray skirts so you stay pretty dry With a larger group we got on the water about 30mins late, and they didn't extend our time on the water. We didn't see any whales, but we did see starfish, jellyfish, seals, and a blue heron. Even without seeing too much it was fun to be out kayaking, and enjoying the island from a different view. Was it worth $75 each? hmmmm, I don't think so = 4 stars read more

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Crystal Seas was fantastic from from start to finish! Always friendly and competent on the phone and in person. Our guide, Alex, was top-notch. He gave fantastic instructions, pointed out many landmarks and animals, and was concerned for everybody's safety. He seems to genuinely enjoy his job and enjoy showing people around the island, and it shows. The highlight of the day: we were lucky enough to have a pod of 3 orcas swim about 30 feet from us! It was an experience I'll never forget. Once I got past the fear, the exhilaration of seeing these creatures from this vantage point is indescribable. I feel bad for people who do the boat tours; I can pretty much guarantee that experience is nothing compared to what we got. We also saw a jellyfish, several bald eagles, and many seals. Just one gripe: kayaking companies seem to like to promote this activity for people of all physical fitness levels. FALSE. If you cannot do a single push-up, you might want to reconsider your plans for a full-day of shoulder/arm/chest workout. Common sense, no? Apparently not for our fellow kayakers, who Alex had to tow. Seriously, people: come on. If you have no physical strength or endurance, this is probably not an activity for you. Also: PLEASE TIP your guide if he/she's going above and beyond the call of duty. And even if they don't. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford this activity. Overall: an incredible day that I will never forget. Thank you, Crystal Seas! read more

After calling another company and figuring out through their non-reply that they would not open for business for another month, we were happy to receive a quick reply from Angie at Crystal Seas. Although rain and wind was in the forecast, we decided to hang in there and go ahead with our plans to escape Seattle for the weekend. We did an early morning hike at Mt. Finlayson in rain and cold wind. Angie called us and said it was raining but the seas were calm and asked us if we wanted to cancel, but we were still game. In typical Northwest weather fashion, when we arrived at Snug Harbor, it suddenly stopped raining and the sun started to glow behind the clouds. The paddling was glorious, with eight to ten different species of birds including varieties of gulls, bald eagle, oyster catcher (red eyes!), king fisher, guillemot, cormorant, great blue heron, bufflehead, geese, and possibly a merganser. A few seals here and there poked there heads up to spy at us out in Haro Strait as we rolled on the low waves from Juan de Fuca Strait. Our guide, Adam, a native of San Juan Island, was full of information about the local flora and fauna, history, and a good instructor in kayaking technique. Our ten year old daughter was enthralled by his explanations of how kelp grows 18 inches a day in summer, and how the seed patches on the graceful strands form new colonies of kelp. Although it was too early in the season to see the orcas (and we knew that before booking the trip), I was saddened to learn that 70% of the babies do not survive due to the heavy metals and toxins concentrated in mother's milk. Paddling today with Crystal Seas Kayaking made us realize what an amazingly beautiful world we live in, and how quickly we are losing it. read more

Great tour! We did a 4 day Inn to Inn tour and it was great! Our guides, Hannah and Julian were fantastic and very knowledgable about the area and the wildlife . We especially enjoyed the sea kayaking and got to see eagles , herons , starfish and seals up close. Julian and Hannah were able to make sure everyone was comfortable and were flexible to our interests and made sure they met the needs of everyone in our group. Our kayaking adventure started late due to a miscommunication regarding being picked up at the harbor. Regardless our tour guide got us on the water relatively quickly. The area, Snug Harbor was absolutely gorgeous--the quaint and quiet nook was the perfect place to relax before and after the tour. Our guide was nice but fairly quiet, explaining a little bit about the whales and other wildlife in the area. Although we didn't see any whales, our group of 8, ranging in skill from absolute beginner to semi-seasoned boaters, seemed to have a good time anyway. Was it worth the $? I'm still considering. Next time I'll probably rent my own and get a few maps and guide books--both to save money and to have more flexible time. Would I recommend this outfit? Yes. Absolutely. To anyone with no kayaking experience, or for those who are looking for a relaxing few hours on a kayak with some incredible views of wildlife and the mountains along the water. For those with hearts dead set on seeing whales, I might suggest doing one of their bigger vessel tours. read more

Just finished a three day inn kayak trip. We loved it !!! Stayed at the Friday harbor house and it was great. The staff is very attentive to making sure you have a great stay. Both dinners that were included were also top notch. The guides made reservations at two fantastic restaurants and brought us wine and cheese before dinner.. Also the lunches they provided were gourmet with fresh local sourced bread, greens and tomatoes it was truly outstanding. Great guides great service and we had a great time. "Casey was such an amazing guide. He was super encouraging and positive when we were feeling tired from kayaking all day. He made us feel super comfortable and it felt more like hanging out rather then an awkward encounter. The camping kayaking combo was such an amazing experience. Being able to see all of the wild life such as the seals otters and orcas was such a once in a life time opportunity. Casey again was awesome and truly made our experience great!" read more

Crystal Seas took our family (3 teens and 2 adults) on a fantastic 3 hr trip last weekend. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had an awesome time and would definitely go with them again. Great for beginners. The only reason for a star deduction is whomever the woman is that works in the office was extremely rude and unfriendly both times I called. She seemed to be very busy, so I can understand being a bit flustered - but part of the job is customer service and she didn't seem to have a bit of it. read more

When we walked into the office in Friday Harbor the person there looked us over and said, "You booked the day-long tour ... ? So ... have you kayaked before?" And though I've been kayaking for 10 years she scared me a little and made me wonder whether I could do this. Well, I could. And it was great. We didn't see any whales, but we did see harbor seals, a *lot* of eagles, and some mighty beautiful places around the San Juan Islands. Our guide, Alex, was friendly, knowledgable, and good at gauging our skills/interests and going from there. He also kept us safe in windy conditions with tide/current challenges and I was glad for his comfort and familiarity with the seascape. All this *and* he was working to train in a new guide, Maggie, at the same time. Bravo to Alex! So apart from the office person who I felt may have been ageist or judging us and our ability on our appearance (grey hair, both of us), and the fact that I didn't get a Groupon either, it was still a wonderful day and a great overall experience. read more

We booked a 2 day, one night camping kayak trip in July. When we booked this, we explained we had to be back in Friday Harbor for a ferry to Seattle on day 2 that was leaving at 4pm. We were told that would not be a problem whatsoever and we would be back in plenty of time. We were leaving on an early morning flight from Seattle the next day so this was pretty critical. So we went ahead. Before I explain what ended up happening let me first say that the guides we had were super nice, hard working, very helpful, and certainly focused on our safety...no complaints there. The equipment seemed all top notch (although our kayak steering system was broken when we set off and we were delayed an hour waiting for a replacement and lost the trip's coffee and tea in the confusion). We were also a bit disappointed to learn that we had to go in double kayaks rather than singles, but understandably that was more our own fault for not checking and once out there we realized why - it's much safer to be in the doubles for novices. Also, on our first day of kayaking we did see some Orcas fly by...though we only saw one group for a flash second as they jumped in unison, and then they were gone after two jumps. Still - great we got to see that. In addition, the food was super tasty - awesome fish tacos, tasty french toast, pesto pasta lunch - A+. So no complaints there. However, we did notice the weather report looked bad before setting out. It was cold and rain in the forecast, and for day 2 we saw that the forecast predicted 10-20mph winds. We of course depend on the kayak company to make the right decisions in terms of trip safety and the chance to provide an adequate experience when setting out. Although they can't control cold rainy weather, and while we'd rather have sunny days, that's out of everyone's control and shouldn't prevent a trip. However when you have windy conditions that prevent kayaking safely - that's when it comes down to the kayak company deciding to cancel excursions rather than put people out. On our day 2 after a night of pouring rain all night (again while not fun, that's fine, not atypical for rain in the PacNW - i like hearing randrops on a tent fly anyway) - we began our day and kayaked about a mile on a protected harbor, and then when looking out across the channel, winds and choppy waters were too great for us to advance safely for the remaining 7 or so miles. We camped on a beach and eventually they called the trip off because there was a 'small craft advisory' and so we were rescued by a ferry boat kayaks and all and brought back to the harbor. Yes we made our ferry to Seattle, but I left with the distinct feeling that the kayak company Crystal Seas knew in advance that there was a good chance we wouldn't get to kayak on day 2, but sent us anyway, rather than face refunding us for the trip, or for much of the trip and just having us do a day trip for day 1. This 2 day one night trip is hardly cheap, and to have lost an entire day of kayaking from the bargain made me feel a bit shortchanged. It seems to me that Crystal Seas should have converted our trip to a day trip and canceled the overnight and return, or selected an itinerary that drastically reduced the chance of that and given us the option in advance whether or not to take the risk. Contacting the owner afterwards to explain our reaction, he didn't agree with the above logic and the best we were offered was a 10% discount on a future trip (being we live 3000 miles away not much help for us). He said we could actually have kayaked that day but since we had to be back by the 4pm ferry he couldn't send us on that longer route. But he knew that was our situation before we left on the trip, and he never mentioned to us when we booked that the 4pm ferry might mean we could miss a day of kayaking. So there was no aforementioned planning for this. The 4pm ferry was stated to be 'not a problem at all'. So anyway, good food, good guides, good kayaks, good scenery, but it's expensive - and beware - once you book, you pay whether you kayak or not it seems. read more

In full disclosure, we got the special coupon deal for 2 to go kayaking from Friday Harbor this summer. SPecifically, the 'whale watching' kayaking tour, only valid during the summer months. My husband and I went earlier this summer- we were the only ones in the tour besides the guide! Only after we had taken the ferry and arrived did the guide tell us that there weren't really any whales there yet. That's the whole reason we bought the voucher! Some might like just a leisurely kayaking trip seeing a few seal or starfish, but our main intent was to see the whales, as we'd never seen them before. Nicely, the owner called us up after he heard that we were disappointed and he offered for us to go again; he mentioned that our guide had just moved back to the area and was a bit mistaken about the whales. Despite the fact that we were frustrated about how their employees were not kept up to speed, we were pleased with the customer service at that point even though it would involve us paying another ferry cost and costs of parking and driving to Anacortes from Seattle. SO we ventured on the 2nd kayaking trip in September. Our family was going on the boat trip and we were going on the kayak again. We heard everyone talking about how all 3 pods of whales were out that day- J, K, and L pods and that people had seen them. The kayaking group that returned just before us even said that we saw whales. But did we see whales? Nope. None. Oh, our family in the boat saw whales- tons of them. We, however, did not see any. How does that happen? Maybe it was due to the guide and his (un)willingness to venture into the parts where the more likely sightings would be. Adam was a much better guide than our first guide, but this time we didn't even see any seals because of the tide levels covering their usual rock hangout. Bottom line-- if you want to see whales, go on a boat. If you want a slow stroll on the water just for the experience of kayaking, do this. When the groupon shows the PICTURE of the deal with a huge orca and mentions "up to a 90% chance" of whale sightings, we should have seen whales after all the cost and energy involved in 2 treks out there. Here is what was advertised in the groupon deal (notice #2): * Picturesque San Juan Island * Natural wildlife & orca whales * Naturalist tour guides * Free shuttle from Friday Harbor Boo. Disappointed. We won't try a 3rd time. read more

Although we did not get to see an orca, the trip exceeded my expectations. Brett is a wonderful guide and a phenomenal cook. The meals were incredible! Both he and Emily, who was the guide in training, were friendly, professional and made sure we had everything we needed. During our pre-trip prep they did a thorough job explaining the equipment, the route, and safety procedures. And then during the trip they made sure to stop at good times so we never felt like we were being pushed. It was an absolute joy being on a trip with them. I would certainly go with Crystal Seas again!!" read more
This is an excellent active tourism (kayaking, bicycling, camping, etc.) company and has tours led by excellent guides. We went on a three day kayak and bike tour and every aspect of the tour was amazing. The instructions on kayaking were simple and effective, the choice of kayaking locations was gorgeous and interesting (we spotted several orca and seals), the picnic lunches were simple and delicious, and the bike trip was super fun. We biked through tough uphills and fast downhills, toured a lavender farm and an alpaca ranch. We were the only ones picked from friday harbor on our trip. They picked us up for free and drove us down to snug harbor. We were on a trip with a family of 4 and a tour guide. We unfortunately did not see any whales, but we did see sea lions, star fish, and blue heron. It was a great and fun experience, and I wouldn't have minded doing it longer then 3 hours. Although our primary tour guide was late to take us on a sea kayaking tour starting from Snug Harbor in Mitchell Bay on San Juan Island, we didn't really mind since we were on vacation, and our tour guide in training regaled us with stories of his travels. Having chosen to visit the San Juan Islands just before high tourist season there, we were fortunate to be the only people on the tour, with one-to-one tour guide to tourist ratio. Kayaking around the West side of San Juan Island for three hours was enjoyable and informative. Our guides were both knowledgeable and had a sense of humor, instilling a sense of both wonder and respect for wildlife as we skirted around rocks with seals and through funky-looking bull kelp. If you're not an avid outdoors person or kayaker: sure your arms will be tired, but you'll have seen a lot more of the wildlife than if you were standing on a big boat for whale watching. Note: Make sure to bring some cash for tip, even though you can give them your credit card for the actual tour cost. Edit: okay, so we also didn't mind the late tour guide because later they said they'd give us a significant discount. However, I checked my credit card online yesterday and it doesn't appear to have been discounted at all. Booo. read more

A large group of friends and I chose Crystal Seas Kayaking for a few hour tour. Several of us had never kayaked previously. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Our check-in was smooth. The van ride to the harbor was fun. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable about the island, the kayaks, the wildlife, and much more. Great times! read more

We had a great full-day kayaking with Erin as our guide. We saw a lot of wildlife, including an orca breaching across the water. Erin listened carefully and shared a lot of information about the geography, wildlife, and history of the region. We look forward to doing this again. Bring water, a snack, sunscreen, and layers. You'll have a terrific time if you are up for paddling all day. read more

First off we had a blast! Our guide Erin was amazing. She answered all of our questions and made my wife and I super comfortable on the water. She was full of information about the sound and its wildlife. We couldn't have asked for a better time and day to go on. The water was almost empty as we started and due to the other half of our party not showing we got a guided tour for just the two of us. It was so personal. Again I can't express how much we enjoyed ourselves. I can't beleive we haven't taken this trip sooner. read more

We've been kayaking a bunch and were at first disappointed that we couldn't rent kayaks and venture on our own... that we had to book a guided tour... but the guide was fantastic. Even as experienced sea kayakers we had a really good time. We learned a lot and saw otters, eagles, a seal, and a sea lion popped up right next to us and blew water at me! We also saw starfish and jelly fish and other sea life. Fantastic trip. read more

Our five day Crystal Seas Inn-to-Inn kayaking trip with Chris and Irene as our guides was absolutely a stellar experience. We hit it off with Chris and Irene from the moment we first met them on the ferry to Orcas Island. We truly enjoyed the company of two wonderful guides with strong interpersonal skills, a deep respect for the environment and a knack for sharing that respect. We found both our guides knowledgable and insightful. Our guides made the trip a true joy by allowing us to use our energy to paddle while they did all of the heavy lifting and made sure that our journey was pleasant and safe. They gently watched over us while making the trip our own. They helped us with paddling techniques when we asked for guidance and all of us watched our guides effortless paddling technique with admiration. They challenged our group in conditions we haven't experienced before and carefully assessed and matched our kayaking abilities to the conditions. They never took us beyond our ability. We were delighted by the quality of the food and snacks that they brought along for our consumption during the paddling days. You should have seen the looks on our faces when we were first greeted by a colorful gourmet lunch spread out on a table cloth with Chris and Irene in cooking aprons. We don't normally carry napkins, silverware, plates and cups when we have a kayaking picnic and were delighted when we realized the lunches that lie ahead. The lunches they brought along were awesome. Fresh organic fruit and veggies were popular with all of us. At the end of our long paddling days, our guides loaded up all of our equipment and supplies without our having to lift a finger. When we offered to help, they reminded us that this was our vacation and we should relax and enjoy ourselves. The guides then delivered us to our rooms in top-notch accommodations. The rooms were great and dinners were at the islands best restaurants. The guides made sure our days were filled and even gave us options if we had the energy to do more. We were then elated at the end of the day when our guides came to our rooms with hor d'oeuvres at the end of our paddling day so that we could partake in a happy hour! We realized that our guides day didn't end like ours because they still had the chore of cleaning up after each day to make sure that all of our needs for the following day would be fulfilled. They did all of their clean-up work and preparation for the next day seamlessly behind the scenes. We knew they were working while we were relaxing. The two of our guides were spectacular. We had two guides for our party of four. We shared both serious and humorous conversation. Both of our guides possessed inquiring minds and were truly a delight. Laughter was frequent as we all enjoyed each other's company. We didn't want our trip to end and would have continued if time allowed. We thank all of those at Crystal Seas for making this trip such a success. We know that there was a great deal of work that went on behind the scenes to make our trip look and feel seamless. We owe special thanks to our guides, Chris and Irene, for all they did to make this trip so memorable! read more

We had such a magnificent time on our Crystal Seas Kayaking trip! The company: very helpful and thorough, replied promptly to any questions; we were able to make arrangements for our wonderful holiday with less than a month's advance notice...it was all so easy to arrange online, and they even ordered up the best weather possible ~ we had all sunny, blue sky days! But, even if the weather was not so great, everything else we experienced on this trip would have more than made up for it. We went on a 4 day/3 night kayaking/camping trip. The company offers shorter tours, but if you can, do a longer trip. You have time to do so much more, and there is better chance of you happening upon those majestic orcas Our guides: Kelly and Drew were the best we could have asked for: always well organized, professional, thoughtful, kind, funny, and extremely knowledgeable of the area and the wildlife. They worked so hard to make this the best trip possible for all participants. They are intuitive in reading the group, knowing when to take breaks and relax, and make it enjoyable for any level of paddler. Their passion for the environment and their dedication to their work was evident every minute of the tour...we don't know how many tours they have done before ours but they were just as excited as we were when we stumbled across a fantastic sighting, just as if it was their first time seeing it too. We would go back out with them any day! The sights: We expected to see beautiful sights, but the open waters and all the islands were incredible. We were so fortunate to see orca whales within our first hour of starting our trip!!! And so many seals and cute seal pups, deer, eagles, seastars...too many to list. The food: Our meals were fantastic! We had gourmet breakfasts and dinners, yummy lunches and snacks...you do not go hungry! I would take up to much space listing all the delicious meals we had...you'll have to go sample it for yourself. A wonderful plus...they try to use as many local products for their meals! Oh, and they even pair the perfect wine to go with your evening meals. We have already strongly suggested this tour to friends and family and would love to come back ourselves! THANK YOU KELLY AND DREW FOR LEADING US ON THIS AMAZING TRIP!!!" If you have time, stay a night or two longer on San Juan Island. There is so much to do...don't miss out on visiting Roche Harbour and Lime Kiln Point State Park...we parked our car, and then ran down the path when we heard everyone saying whales were coming...we saw a superpod of orcas breaching the waters as soon as we reached the look out! read more

We were visiting San Juan Island as a "final family trip" after my son graduated from high school and my daughter from college. Not surprisingly, it is difficult to find things that all will enjoy. We got Groupon coupons for the trip -- but would have been happy to pay full price, as we had a great time. We did a full day kayak tour, 11 am - 6 pm. We booked on line and that went fine. When we checked in at Friday Harbor, the woman at the desk was a little grumpy -- and I was a bit put off. But that was the only down side of the trip. Kate and Elliot were our guides and did a great job -- very friendly, competent, full of info. They got us fitted up and in the kayaks quickly and efficiently. Their instructions were good. The equipment worked well. There were 4 double kayaks of tourists and 2 guides (I believe Elliot said he is still in his training phase). We set out from Mitchell Bay -- the day was gorgeous and we saw several types of sea birds. As we traveled along the coastline, Kate mentioned that there was some "suspicious boat activity," meaning that Orca may have been sighted in the area, and we paused in some kelp beds to watch. Sure enough, there was a pod of Orca, including a young one (but not a newborn as Kate explained -- the white spots were not pink) -- that swam by over about 20 mins. We watched as they went by and were lucky enough to see the youngster jump out of the water. Then we proceeded down the shoreline. Kate and Elliot answered questions and provided information in a noninvasive way. They were very friendly and kept the group going at a pace that was easy for all. We stopped for a couple of rests and then had lunch just past the light house. On the way back we saw more wildlife including Dall's porpoises. We caught a nice current which hurried our trip back, and we arrived in Mitchell Bay right on time. I would recommend this trip to all, as the pace was good and the information interesting. Sometimes you see Orca and sometimes you don't -- we were lucky -- but would have enjoyed the trip anyhow. We all enjoyed the tour and hope to do it again sometime. read more

This is my first time writing a review for a trip I took, but I want to share with everyone who might be a little apprehensive about going on such an adventure. I had such an incredible time I had on the 3 day Kayaking/Camping trip with Crystal Seas. I had been in a Kayak once in my whole life and I am almost 55 years old so as you can imagine I was a bit nervous about going on this adventure. Max and Cassidy were our guides and I couldn't have asked for more wonderful young men. They were knowledgeable, informative, respectful , courteous and talk about incredible chefs! OMG, the food that they prepared for us was no other than amazing, we were camping mind you, on a remote island and we had things like Fresh Salmon, steak, Fresh Green beans, ravioli, Salad with walnuts and berries and desserts that really opened your taste buds to pure enjoyment. Amazing food they served to say the least, they catered to us Breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in between and even appetizers before dinner on both nights while the main course was being prepared! The Kayaking and hiking were amazing, I was amazed at the scenery and the wildlife, there was even a deer in camp one morning! We all hiked to the lighthouse with Max and Cassidy guiding us and showing us the way, after the 3 hour hike we came back to camp with appetizers on the table and a bit of unwind and relax time before dinner. Thank you Crystal Seas for having such a venue for the adventurous ones to see and enjoy the beautiful San Juan Islands in style. Thank you Max for showing me I could do it and giving me the encouragement to do so, it was an experience I will never forget. Sincerely, Louise B. read more

Look no further. Book the trip! The whole company is great, and if you're lucky enough to get Brooke as your guide, it can't get any better. My husband and I took the 4 day bike, kayak, camp trip for our honeymoon in September. We figured we'd need to plan another more "honeymoon-like" trip later on, but we honestly felt so pampered by Brooke and her attention to detail that we arrived home beyond satisfied, telling anyone who would listen about this amazing trip. Brooke was knowledgeable about everything from local lore, to wildlife and geography, to the unique personalities of each island. Her cooking was incredible, and we even went back to local shops and markets to pick up some of our favorite ingredients of hers for gifts and snacks for our last couple days on the islands. We loved the itinerary as it was, but she offered lots of options for tailoring things to guests' needs (longer or shorter legs, more/less of one activity, whale watching boat tours, etc.). My husband was training for a marathon and she helped him find great trails to run on in the evenings, and even accompanied me on a pre-dinner hike so I wouldn't get lost. They think of absolutely everything- from having quarters on hand for a warm shower to an ice cream break at their favorite creamery to a very unique hot springs trip. You will never go hungry! Meals are delicious and satisfying (French toast with berry compote while camping?!) and an array of snacks will be waiting for you at every rest stop. This is a great way to do a bit of everything and see a bit of everything the SJ Islands have to offer. I don't think we could have had a better trip in any way. read more

Incredible trip! I was amazed at the beautiful environment that I was immersed in from the moment I arrived at Lime Kiln State Park and began our adventure! Our guide, Dakota, was a master in her knowledgeable of the area and wildlife, which was a lot! I'd never sea kayaked before, only on a lake, and I appreciated Dakota's instruction and help in getting everything packed, fitted and on the way..never knew how much will fit in a 9x16 inch dry bag! Or how little! We were never hungry, breakfast was always delicious, ready and coffee was on before we were usually fully awake. After we had been on the water, kayaking, or laying around in a neat little cove, sunbathing, we were ready to head back to camp. Our meals were quality, plentiful and there was a local red or wine to go with the evening meal, which was an enjoyable surprise for our group! The camraderie between the group was almost immediate, it was like we had known each other before. We all had different kayaking experience and physical abilities, but in the 2-person kayak you work as a team and it was a lot of fun! I must say that the Crystal Seas equipment is by far the best equipment on the water out of Friday Harbour! After seeing what the other outfitting companies and guides were using and making their clients do, I shudder to think that I might of been booked with one of them. I thank you, Crystal Seas and especially Dakota for one unforgettable experience in the San Juan Island area! It is definitely one of the most memorable times of my life! read more

My son and I were in Friday Harbor for a couple days and decided to book a sunset kayak trip at the last minute. Our guide, Sam, met us at the shop downtown and took us by van to the Snug Harbor Resort (west side of Island). From there, we received a quick kayaking lesson and were off and running. The equipment was very nice. We were each given a splash curtain, and a two person kayak. The kayaks seemed to be of very good quality and very well maintained. I am not an expert, so I am not sure if they were high-end or not, but they were very easy to paddle and steer and were very stable in the water, even with some chop and current. We left Snug Harbor and headed south along the west side of the Island. The tour took us past a lot of interesting features as well as some great houses along the coast. Sam, continually balanced his time between our group of 3 kayaks and was really good to offer tips and adjustments as well as just make good conversation. After going a couple of miles down the coast, we turned around and headed back to Snug Harbor. We got back a few minutes before sunset, so we extended our trip north a little ways to see Henry Island. We then settled into a quiet area at the mouth of the harbor and watched the sunset. All in all, this was an excellent experience. The nice thing about it was that you didn't feel like you were in some touristy cattle shoot. You just felt like another person enjoying some kayaking on the island. I would definitely recommend these guys for your trip. read more

It was the most fabulous vacation I've had in a very long time. We went on Crystal Seas' biking-oriented (Terratrek) 6 day, 5 night biking tour, Inn to Inn. I especially appreciate that we were able to arrange the Pedego ebike rental with Susie. We were a group of three, and Albert, our dedicated guide, was phenomenal, so knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. The cue sheets were very useful to remind us after Albert showed us the route first on a map. He also chose a really nice hike for us on Turtleback mountain that matched the elevation profile and distance we suggested. His picnic lunches were gourmet and get five stars! The accommodations and restaurants were top notch. I particularly recommend Crystal Seas/Terratrek because they focus only on the San Juan Islands, over the other companies that offer similar tours but are global in scope. Crystal Seas/Terratrek are from the area, know the area, and really give insight into the history, flora, fauna, and geography. The only suggestion I could make is to make it easier to rent quality ebikes for people who love to ride bikes in beautiful locations, but don't want to do the big hills. I feel so fortunate to have rented the Pedego, which is a quality ebike. We did see some rental ebikes on Orcas Island, so maybe in time there will be more available in Friday Harbor. Terratrek is great! And I will be recommending these trips to my friends. read more

This is my 3rd day trip with Crystal Seas and it never disappoints!!! We did the all day kayak trip and did 10 miles of paddling total. Our guide Hannah was extremely knowledgeable on the history and wildlife in the area and gave us excellent pre-trip kayak instruction. She even gave us a little tow when we were struggling to keep up at the end (embarrassingly so). It was a beautiful rainy day and we saw tons of wildlife including my first octopus in the wild! Seeing the wildlife in and from the water is by far the highlight, especially the whales when they show up! The scenery is incredible! By all means, bring layers (moisture wicking base layer and mid-layer and an outer waterproof layer) as the weather in the Pacific Northwest can go from chilly and/or rainy to hot when the sun breaks through the clouds very quickly. I like to wear water shoes like Keens or Chacos so it is no big deal if your feet get wet. It also can be windy on the water so I throw in a beanie hat, gloves and sunglasses (last year I work shorts and a tank top because it was a much warmer day). Just come prepared for a variety of weather and you will enjoy your trip so much more if you are comfortable. Also, I highly recommend a GoPro or waterproof camera so that you can capture the experience. I'll be back next year!!! Thanks again:) Crystal Seas!!! Can't wait for next year's adventure with you!!! read more

My wife and I had a fantastic time on a sunset paddle. Maya was our guide and was amazing. She was knowledgeable, fun, and careful to ask about our preferences re comfort with conditions etc. We also had the privilege of going out by ourselves...just two kayaks (our double and Maya's single) heading out of the tranquil Snug Harbor toward Haro straight. We were treated to views of a double rainbow, a bald eagle soaring right past us, a kingfisher or two diving and chattering, and, eventually a beautiful sunset. About half way through the journey, our guide got a text that a pod of orcas was headed in our direction. We paddled out a bit from shore, and sure enough, we saw them spouting. First we saw one or two, but then we saw two groups of at least 4 or 5...we guessed we saw at least a dozen orcas spouting and a few fins dancing above the waves. Maya thought that the entire pod was probably together. We couldn't get close because they were so far from shore, but it was thrilling nonetheless. BTW, crystal seas dock at Snug means that there is no delay for hauling kayaks off of vans, dragging them down to the water, and vice versa at the end. This means that lots more of the time you book is spent in the water paddling. Beware of the competitors who "eat up" a lot of your time on those activities. read more

Totally recommended! We did a lot of research and finally landed with Crystal Seas, never a doubt. High class, best guides, equipment, food and tours. From start to finish, we loved it and were blown away with the whole experience. We had great weather and Sam and Johnny were the most excellent guides, giving all kinds of information on local animals, islands and stories of trips. We also could not believe how great the food and their cooking was. We had snacks, appetizers and then the main course for all the meals. It was utterly fantastic, and my wife never had to lift a finger. We did the 3 day tour and had teens, 18, 16, 16. All girls and they did great, we swapped kayaks and each had a chance to spend time with one another each day. The tents were top notch, all clean and the gear packed up perfect in the boats. We saw, otters, Jellyfish, Porpoises, many seals, Bald Eagles, other wildlife and Orcas from a distance. Even without the closeup Orcas, I'd still recommend. My wife and I are planning to go back in the future with just us for a longer trip, and maybe tour the islands on one of their bike tours too. Amazing and wonderful time, life long memories of paddling, nature, sunsets, AWESOME food, friends and laughing. can't say enough good about this company! Do it! read more

My niece and I went on a 3 day kayak and camp trip with Crystal Seas in May this year. It was fantastic from planning to fruition. Prior to actually going on our trip I had a few questions and communications with the office when I called was always pleasant and professional. Johannes returned emails promptly and answered all the questions I had and made me feel like a valued customer. The equipment was high quality; great kayaks and comfortable tents and sleeping pads. The tents were roomy and it was great to have 2 exits so we didn't have to crawl over each other to exit. Life jackets are always going to be a little tough to fit perfectly but they weren't bad. Our guide, Max, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the area and sea life. You could tell he truly enjoyed his job. He was professional but personable and his calm, and encouraging manner and ability to give clear directions and guidance really put us at ease and made the trip that much more enjoyable. Also he fed us really well. I mean how often do you get crepes for breakfast on a camping trip! I'd been on a trip with Crystal Seas once before a number of years back and it's nice to see that this company just continues to provide wonderful adventures and excellent customer service. read more

We just got back from a three day, two night kayaking and camping trip with Crystal Seas Kayaking. We had an amazing adventure! Everyone with Crystal Seas was so friendly and accommodating, from the person who helped us with the reservation to the actual guides who took us out. They kept our group small, so we were just a group of six friends and two guides. Our wonderful guides were Max and Cassidy, and they worked tirelessly to make it an enjoyable experience for us in every way possible, well beyond anything we expected. Their expertise with kayaking, and their knowledge of the tides and how to get through tough water, gave us the confidence and comfort level we needed to relax and enjoy the water. And they fed us like kings. We even had "Happy Hour" with wine and appetizers while they were preparing delicious dinners. Everything was fresh and local, and they were even able to accommodate my diet restrictions - and remember, we were camping! We didn't end up seeing any whales, but we saw so many other cool things - bald eagles, seals, jelly fish, sea stars, river otters, porpoises... and the islands are so beautiful themselves. It's such a beautiful area. We would go back in a heart beat. And we would definitely go with Crystal Seas again. read more

My dad and I are still talking about our long weekend a year later - my quote below that I made to Crystal Seas immediately after we left (Sept 2012) is still very true: "My dad (78 yrs old) remarked it was the best long weekend he had in years and years - we both loved it and felt especially lucky to have Joe be so knowledgeable about the area." We spent a couple of days kayaking out on the water and then did a substitution to spend a day at the English Camp Natl. Park. Crystal Seas had no problem with that and our guide was very knowledgeable about the island's history and we had a great time touring the park. I would highly recommend them. My father and I are experienced solo kayakers and we were paired up with a couple who were relatively novice - our guide was very clear and effective with his technique training and also was adept at making sure they had a safe adventure while accommodating successfully our higher skill level (which we used to gunk-hole about along the shore, moving ahead and falling behind) Food was excellent, company was excellent, rental equipment was in very good shape even though it was the tail end of the season. Again - I highly recommend them read more

Special shout-out to Crystal Seas Kayaking! That was amazing! The check-in was super easy and the receptionists were incredibly friendly. Jaclyn was our tour guide and she was so nice. She drove us out to Snug Harbor, gave us a quick safety talk, told us some tricks, and -boom- we took off. We paddled southbound past San Juan County Park and got a clear view to the lighthouse that resides at Lime Kiln. On the way back of our two-ish hour trip the tide came in and I got a little sick but Jaclyn had everything ready. Water, ginger snacks...she even would have had a full med kit if I had needed one. We saw lots of bald eagles, otters, seals, and also some whale sneezes. They would blow water up in the air but missed out on revealing themselves in full. However, it was by far the coolest thing I have ever done on the island. I recommend it to everybody who loves nature, wildlife, and outdoor activities. Grab your friends and family, take 3, 4 hours off of work and enjoy the beauty of San Juan Island! Biggest thank you to Crystal Seas Kayaking! 5 out of 5!!! read more

Crystal Seas Kayaking & TerraTrek Bike Tours - Wonderful experience on the 4-day tour of the San Juan Islands. Roads were well-marked on the maps provided; motorists were courteous (!); and the midday meals were fresh, varied, and plentiful. Our day on sea kayaks was exciting -we saw eagles, seals, and a pod of Orcas while learning about natural history from our guide. We had a relaxing lunch on a table of driftwood in a quiet cove. The lodging was top notch: a beautiful rustic inn on Orcas where we were lulled to sleep by the sound of sheep, and a modern (but charming) hotel on San Juan Island within easy walking distance of eclectic restaurants. Our guide, Joe Guzman, was most accommodating, tailoring the activities to our interests and capabilities. He provided relevant background information on a wide range of topics, from local history to identification of the range of flora and fauna we encountered. All done with good humor. Overall an excellent vacation. read more

We had a total blast on the 3-hour sunset kayak trip. I was a little worried that we would be sore the next day since we are not avid paddlers. But our guide, Tim, was awesome, and gave us some paddling tips and it was all easy-breezy, and I felt fine the next day. Our group included an awesome 84-year-old woman who was there with her grandson (he did all the hard work), so really anyone can do it. And what a fabulous way to spend an evening. We saw eagles, harbor seals, all sorts of birds, vegetation, and a spectacular sunset. The customer service was also fantastic. Months before our trip they were great about answering questions and helping us with the reservations. Everyone was friendly at the Friday Harbor location where they picked us up to shuttle us to Snug Harbor, and then they were nice enough to drop us off at our hotel on the way back. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to go back. read more

I had the time of my life out on the islands! I came to try my luck at seeing the southern resident whales since I was fascinated by them growing up. We had one sighting on shore right at the start of the trip as they were porpoising past Deadman Bay. It was amazing being completely immersed in their habitat for the rest of the trip and I ended up getting so much more than I expected. The bald eagles, jellies, seals, sea birds, and cultural history of the islands blew me away. I felt so happy there...I didn't want to leave! The San Juan Islands are truly an amazing place, and being there with an equally passionate group and guides made it even better. Max and Corey were so patient and good-natured the entire time. Even though we were physically exerting ourselves each day, they helped keep the experience fun and relaxing. I had great conversations with both of them and learned a lot. I will definitely be coming back! read more

We just had an amazing 3-day camping/kayaking adventure with Caleb and Andy. Our package included 2 nights on Stuart Island, and day trips to many surrounding islands. Caleb and Andy prepared incredible meals, including salmon the first night and tacos the next. They prepared lunch for us on the various islands that we were exploring each day. And the smell of fresh brewed, french pressed coffee was always ready for getting our day off to a great start. Also, while camping on Stuart Island, we were able to hike to the tiptop of the island mountain one evening, and out to the lighthouse the next. The lighthouse destination included a spectacular eagle show while taking in the scenery of this breathtaking, furthest northwestern, point of the continental United States. We would highly recommend requesting Caleb and Andy for your next adventure to the San Juan Islands! read more

Crystal Seas Kayaking is awesome! My friend and I were supposed to go on Friday but unfortunately missed the ferry. I was crying because I thought we missed our chance to kayak. However when I called, Crystal Seas Kayaking was understanding and said that we could go the next day. They even gave us advice on other ways to get to the island so we could still make the day we were supposed to go. Overall, the staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Cassidy was our tour guide and he was awesome! My friend and I were definitely the slackers and taking our time but he was understanding. He was always looking out for us and making sure we weren't falling too far behind. I really enjoyed the tour (and not only because we saw orcas) but because Cassidy made it a lot of fun. Telling us the legends of the islands. It was interesting and educational. read more
