Finally, Shelly with North Country Lodge answers the phone and she's got availability! She is incredibly friendly and even drives out to the gas station to lead us through the difficult-to-navigate road construction in town. Her level of service is amazing. The room is clean and spacious and is exactly what we need for the right price. This little gem of a motel is full of character and we highly recommend it!

The air conditioner was on high so it was like walking into a refrigerator, nothing a simple adjustment didn't fix. After 9 hours of driving we were ready for bed. A short time later we were awakened by loud explosions and voices outside our window. We realized why the parking area was taped off. There was a fireworks show there. This continued for 2 hours. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well making the drive the next day difficult. This would have been a good stay if it were'nt for the fireworks.
