I very rarely leave negative reviews but I feel I must in this instance. For 20 years we used Tri…read moreState Water and was extremely satisfied with them. They were the nicest people and had amazing customer service. Unfortunately Tri State sold out to Aqua Filter Fresh/Tyler Mountain. Since then the experience has been less than desirable. Their customer service is awful. In the past we had a set schedule for the year's deliveries. They even sent a calendar with stickers showing delivery. That went away. Days of delivery seem to vary. Now we get a text and email the day before delivery. For 20+ years I always would put the empties out before I left for work. Even with this new company. Yes thy say you can put empties out the night before. This past week was our delivery day per text message. I put the empties out around 7am as I've done forever. Later my wife received an email saying your empty bottles weren't out when we tried to deliver, we will reschedule. They were trying to deliver at 6:40am! I called the office and questioned why they were there so early and how I've always put them out at the same time. The woman sat silent in the phone. I had to ask, so now how do we remedy it? She said you've been rescheduled for Tuesday already. Later that day my wife received a passive aggressive email with a screen shot of the text that was sent and a message saying see the text we sent. WTH? This is your customer service? I got my text yesterday, put my empties out the night before. Left for work this morning, no delivery. Came home from work tonight, no delivery. No email saying why, no text, nothing. A few months back we didn't receive our delivery and same thing, no email or text saying why or when it would be rescheduled. I had to call them and ask what happened and was coldly told that the driver called off. Okay, maybe you notify your customers. I asked okay when will we get our water? They said we would get an email and text sometime. Why does the customer have to call and ask why Thor service wasn't performed? Just a horrible company now. I would love to use the cliche saying of "if I could give zero stars I would."

Serious Consumer Safety Failure, Especially for Infants:…read more I am writing this review to document a deeply alarming experience with Primo that raises serious concerns about consumer safety, quality control, and corporate accountability. I discovered a blue colored pencil inside a factory-sealed 5-gallon Primo water jug, which was filled at Primo's Carnegie filling facility and delivered directly to Giant Eagle in Crafton. This discovery occurred after my infant son had already consumed formula prepared using water from this jug. Upon further inspection, I found blue pigment particles in my son's bottle and in the water dispenser reservoir, strongly indicating contamination had already occurred prior to discovery. Primo has since confirmed that the facility responsible for sanitizing the bottles uses Ecolab PolyBrite, a caustic industrial detergent containing chemical agents as part of its bottle-washing process. Despite this, Primo has shown little concern for the potential risks these chemicals may pose to an infant, particularly in a scenario involving a foreign object capable of retaining or transferring chemical residue. Most troubling is Primo's refusal to conduct or allow third-party testing of either: * the water, * the pencil, * or the bottle itself for chemical residues, detergents, or other potentially harmful agents. As a consumer--and a parent--I requested independent, objective testing to ensure my child was not exposed to harmful substances. This request was denied. Primo also refused to conduct a comprehensive and objective investigation into how a foreign object of this size could pass through their visual inspection process, despite acknowledging that the bottle may have been contaminated prior to arriving at their facility. At the same time, they contradicted themselves by asserting that once the seal was broken, the bottle is now considered contaminated--effectively shifting responsibility away from their own processes. To summarize the contradictions: * Primo suggests the bottle may have arrived contaminated before filling and sealing. * Primo simultaneously claims the contamination is only relevant because the seal was broken, despite the contamination clearly predating that event. This logical inconsistency undermines confidence in their quality control, investigation standards, and transparency. At every step, Primo has demonstrated a dismissive attitude toward legitimate consumer safety concerns, particularly when an infant is involved. Their unwillingness to pursue testing, accountability, or meaningful corrective action suggests a broader disregard for consumer protection standards. This was not a minor issue. This was a sealed product intended for human consumption, used to feed a newborn, containing a foreign object and visible contamination. The handling of this incident has left me with zero confidence in Primo's safety practices. I strongly urge parents and caregivers to think carefully before trusting this company with something as critical as drinking water.

Over the last number of months however, our deliveries are often missed/moved, for up to a week at a time. Good luck getting anyone on the phone as well as wait times are absurd. I canceled the service last week, and they won't even come take their bottles and cheap bottle rack. They missed the pickup date, and now show no future pickup dates, and I can't even call as an "existing customer" because I canceled the service. Amazingly, even if I call as a new customer, the wait times are insane. At this point I'm just going to trash the bottles and hope to never deal with company again. There are a few other brands around Pittsburgh, skip crystal springs and try them.

They sent Don for the sales side of it. Don is top notch. Very informative, not the least bit pushy, and super helpful deciding what you should and shouldn't do. I don't know the rest of the salesmen at Culligan, but if you want a good sales experience, ask for Don and I guarantee you'll get it. Danny, the installer is a machine. Danny got the job done in half the time we were quoted it would take which worked out perfect for me because I had a tight schedule that day. Danny is an artist in his work. As a commercial piping designer myself, I can tell you first hand that there are two types of pipers/plumbers. Good and bad. Pipe is pipe, it doesn't matter what system we're talking about, it's all about the piper. Danny is one you want installing piping in your house. He's pushing 30 years with Culligan, he best be getting some type of bonus. Our well water was so hard before deciding to get a softener through Culligan. It was leaving hardness stains all over our sinks, giving us a constant battle against dandruff because of how hard it dries your scalp, and definitely wasn't drinkable. Culligan fixed all of that up for us. We got a softener that showed immediate results in the hardness. Man, that first shower with the new water was heavenly. Finally shut the wife up about it ;). We also got a reverse osmosis system that fits nicely under the sink to replace the very costly water bottles we've been buying since we bought our house. We love the taste now, and the system will pay itself off without the cost of the 5 gallon water bottles (plus the damn hassle of getting them). Only regret I have is not getting this system put in sooner! Thank you Culligan!
