I purchased a hot tub from Valley Pool & Spa in May 2022. Ugh. First, I had to wait a pretty long time for delivery, but, in the wake of COVID, everything was slower, so I can look past that, to a degree. However, it sprung a leak within the first nine months of owning it. It must've been leaking under the center of it because I couldn't see water anywhere, but it was losing water at a rate much faster than it evaporates - like half the water gone in a week, even when covered and not in use. When I called to have someone come look at it, I was told I needed to physically come into the store to schedule the service call and would have to pay $150.00. That seemed pretty ridiculous for a BRAND NEW BROKEN hot tub, but whatever. I don't pass by a VPS with regularity, so it took me a week or two to get in to make the appointment for the service. I attempted to pay in cash and was "asked " (told) to use a card. I asked what is covered via warranty - they said parts, not labor, so now I'm pretty ticked. Y'all sold me a lemon and now I have to pay to fix it? Ok, fine. I pay my $150 for the service call - in person, at the store, using my card not cash - but no one scheduled the service appointment. They tell me - now that I've paid - someone will call me in about three weeks to schedule my service. Completely unsatisfactory. I wish I never would have given this company my business. This hot tub was BRAND NEW and has been nothing but a headache. Take your business elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE! read more

WARNING DO NOT USE EVER PURCHASE FROM VALLEY POOL & SPA. Purchased a pool from Matt at the North Hills location. After a delay in install, and the installation sub contracted company B&T Installation, which Corrine Kraft (owner of Valley) uses. B&T Installation(Martin) all of the sudden fires the employee who had a excavator to fit through my fence . After going back and forth as the customer trying to get it figured out with Valley Pool & Spa's Rick and Tony (arrogant) and B&T's Martin wanting to blame each other, but neither company wanted to make it right. Finally after speaking to Tony of VP& Spa to basically tell me too bad. I fianlky proudly asked for a refund for the purchased pool and am still out $200 for sand I had delivered. Considering we purchased a pool package from a local competitor 15yrs ago and at a last minute option went across the street to Valley,the sales process won us over and we purchased our second pool and 1st hot tub. Beware, the contractor is beyond belief difficult to work with, emails and text only we had them show up a week before our inspection appt with only a few hours notice.. Our hot tub has been in service for about 6mos the pump is making a squealing noise when it cycles at low speed, we payed xx$ for a warranty service call and we were told that there was nothing they could do because the pump was functioning OK and it would have to fail before they would replace it. So now we are approaching freezing winter weather and if it fails I will have a block of ice a possibly a broken hot tub. I really question our decision to go with Valley. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! We bought our pool from Valley in May of 2022. The subcontractor that Valley sticks you with is absolutely the worst pool installer ever. They are B&T Installations. After rescheduling us twice they finally did the installation in August of 2022. We immediately noticed that EVERY stanchion all the way around the pool were not plum. Some out of plum as much as 1 1/2" in a 54" span. After finally reaching them they sent someone to look at it and told us that it was fine but they would fix it if we wanted. We said fix it. That repair got pushed to April 2023. Again, it got rescheduled to late April. Finally they came and fixed the stanchions. In repairing that problem they created a completely different and new problem. The used shovels to dig under the bottom rail and in doing so they pushed the expensive extra bottom padding to protect the liner in about 4 to 6 inches. We now have a channel that runs the entirety of the perimeter of the pool. Again we contacted B&T Installations and they said again that it was fine and never bothered to even send someone to look at it. Now they don't reply to phone calls or emails and completely ignore us. B&T Installations has absolutely zero communication skills and I believe that their policy is to not communicate with the customer at all. I emailed and called them more than 3 dozen times and I only spoke to an actual person 4 times. I returned to Valley a few times to ask them for help only to be told it wasn't their problem and there was nothing they could or would do to resolve the issue. They told me I was on my own. Stay away from Valley and B&T as neither stands behind their products or services. Worst customer service and communication I have ever had the unfortunate luck to deal with. I now have to have another company come remove the liner, fix the floor and install a new liner. This will be the 2nd time I have to drain the pool and 3rd time I have to fill it due to incompetence and ignorance of Valley and B&T Installations. Run away from both as fast as you can!!!! read more

I googled a pool place near me to find a floating chair. I had tried other stores like Walmart, Target, Family Dollar, etc to no avail. This place had a great selection of pool toys, floats, goggles, life jackets and everything you need for summer fun. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I told them that if we like our hot tub on vacation maybe we would come back to buy one! Thanks for the great experience and keep up the good work! read more

My Husband and I had an Excellent Buying Experience with Sue! we came in looking in October for a Spa and waited till Spring because we remodeled a room to add a Deck entrance.. Sue kept in touch over the months about our needs and made sure we knew about sales. they had a new line of Spa come in which was better then what we first picked and i'm so Glad we waited!! the entire Staff is wonderful and took care of all our needs! Water testing was easy and clearly explained they detailed it out on paper so it was easy to read and not have to remember.. I've got nothing but praise for this business. you have a customer for life with us and we will tell anyone thats looking to go see Sue! I give Valley Pools and Spa no stars!!! BEWARE!!! Do not spend your money at this place. I paid to have our pool professionally installed by their subcontractor. I called them tonight because we noticed a hole in the liner. We didn't have our pool a long period of time, and they said there is nothing they can do!!! Scam artists!!! They told us we didn't bring our water for testing 4 times a year that our warranty is null and void. They should have stated that up front and then i could have complied or bought somewhere else. Unfortunately had a very negative experience at Valley Pool & Spa located in Washington, PA. Drove all the way to the store to inquire about a pool installation, and left the building not even wanting a pool anymore. The sales lady treated us in a very condescending and rushed manner. Our apologies for not knowing what a "cut back" is and all of the details that go into landscape excavation. Constantly being reminded that they sell 700 pools a year, our business was obviously not wanted and our customer experience was not of any value. Walked into the store eager to learn about and purchase a pool package, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. Will not be selling your 701st pool of the year to us! read more

Big promises yet full of excuses. I ordered my hot tub May 15 with the promise of 1 month delivery. Sales person and I quote: "If you order by Sunday it will be guaranteed delivery second week in June." We paid cash/check. As in our check was cashed and money is gone from our account . Second week in June no hot tub. Called the store and claimed it was stuck in customs. Called 3-4 days later for update in fact hasn't even shipped yet original salesman had lied to us. It's a special order and these things take time. It will be here at the end of the month specifically week of June 27. She gave us $100 towards pool supplies and cleaners good at Valley pools and Spa. Sunday June 26 called for our expected delivery date. There was a mix up. Our hot tub is not ready and will not be delivered until July 11. They never called to tell us about any of these delays or mishaps. Imagine if we never called asking where our hot tub is. We can cancel but will not receive a refunded check for the next 2-3 weeks. Or we wait two more weeks and hope the hot tub will be delivered this time. What money off my purchase? - no not a chance. Waive the delivery fee maybe - ha ha ha your joking. What do we get - more money good at Valley pools and spas for pool supplies and chemicals. How do we feel about all of this take a guess by the star rating and know that I am sitting here writing this review rather than relaxing in a $7000 cash paid hot tub that is not here. read more

Ordered our hot tub from the tent sale that was going on at the end of July. The sales team was more than helpful and spent a considerable amount of time explaining the different options as well as the construction and usage information. We opted for the extended delivery time which meant we agreed to not take delivery until September. The last week of August I was contacted to arrange a delivery date that met both our needs which was September 21st. The delivery team contacted me on Sept 19th to ensure our date was still good and gave me an estimated arrival time that was a 2 hr window in the afternoon, not the 12 hr window that you would get from the cable company or the electric company. I was contacted again on the morning of the 21st confirming their delivery and gave me an exact time they would arrive. To my disbelief, they arrived within 3 mins of their quoted time and were very considerate and careful during their set up. Only good things to say about this company and my purchase. read more
