I called the florist on 4 July to ensure they could deliver the arrangement on the 4th. The florist told me she didn't have all the flowers for what I selected, but could put something together, which I was grateful and agreed. She texted me a picture of what was being delivered, which I approved. The arrangement was not close to what I paid for but it was more important to me that the family received an arrangement during their grieving time. The recipient contacted me on 6 July to inform me the flowers were dead after only a few days after delivery, despite proper care. I was out of town but did contact the florist at my soonest. She promised a replacement arrangement which never happened, so I contacted her again with a photo from the 6 July and to express my disappointment that they never sent a replacement arrangement. After many texts and the florist accusatory comments I told the florist not worry about a replacement or refund because at this point she had insulted my character. She told me she wish she had refused my order, due to a lack of flowers during the holidays and promised a refund, which never happened. I am very disappointed with the lack of quality and customer service and caution others against ordering from here.

I am not particularly a fan of how far it is from home. It does serve as an adequate backdrop for events. The curb appeal is evident although the event space is much more updated (which is a benefit IMO). I have never stayed the night here nor do I see that happening in my future. My last event there I did hand the bartender a $20 but received change for a $10 and she was adamant that I had only given her a $10 though my 2 $20s were now down to one. I didn't want to ruin the ball for everyone around so I decided to not make a scene. But that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have attended the Sunday Brunch. The price was steep considering the mimosas were around $9 each. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere- I would expect a much more affordable drink when the brunch is already over $30. The brunch was fine though. I will not be attending brunch again.

I came on a Sunday not really realizing there was a larger city event going on in town, which only affected my visit here by slowing down traffic. Getting here was easy, the museum takes up several buildings, so there is plenty of parking. This place is freaking amazing. The employees are very friendly and more than happy to share information about the trains and the city in general. Though they were all about the cruise in that was going on, and I am not into large groups of people. There are model trains with whole cities around them, mock ups of famous buildings, large stores, all made from Legos and similar materials. There is a Jurassic Park, gnomes, dinosaurs and oh so much more. If you are in the area, I highly recommend a stop in here to spend a few hours, especially if you have small humans with you.
