A fella came out and looked at the situation. Inside speakers and outside speakers to connect to the record player. When we got a day set on, a guy came out. Really nice guy who knew his stuff, but didn't know this system. It was literally his first time looking at it. He went at it with confidence and got the speakers set, despite the speaker stands missing. When it got time to program it to use he had to just work his way through it. It took more time to get the speakers to turn on right that the installation. They are top of the line speakers, and a great central system. But with the speaker stand situation and feeling hung out to dry on service, it hurt a little.

I put it off for months, but when I finally started researching replacement options, Alarm Grid's videos and information were everywhere--YouTube, forums, and Google searches. After learning that my old panel was discontinued, Alarm Grid's resources clearly explained how to upgrade to the Honeywell/Resideo PROA7PLUS ProSeries 7-inch touchscreen panel, along with adding the PROTAKEOVER module to maintain compatibility with my existing Honeywell 5800 Series wireless sensors. I ordered both the panel and module and received them in just five days with free shipping. Installation was straightforward thanks to Alarm Grid's step-by-step YouTube videos. I did initially have trouble configuring my window and door sensors, but after realizing they needed to be set to "Service 2" in the programming, all my 5816 sensors worked perfectly. I also decided to add monitoring with app-based arm/disarm for just $10 per month. Nicholas Fuller activated my system remotely and made the entire process seamless. Naturally it soon fell off. It was an improper installation, but did they just fix it? No, they had a man come out, do it correctly, but charged me near a hundred dollars service to fix their bungling mistake. Then surprise! The thing has a battery in it that wears out. Worse part, it's no simple battery. It's a custom priority battery. They'll sell you one but then there is a 13 step set of instructions to install it! Forget that. Might just as well spend around a hundred dollars having one of their technicians do it. Worse, it's hit and miss as to how long these batteries will last. I had one last two years and one only last a week. I don't recommend ADT, plain and simple.

I have been a customer since 2018. When I bought and renovated my NYC office, my electrician…read moreinstalled an alarm system with monitoring. After a few years, he retired and no one bought his business. I tried for weeks to find someone to take over the monitoring but no one could/would. I did a search and found Geoarm in Florida. Not only were they willing to take over the monitoring for a fair and reasonable price, but they were able to remotely transfer all of the data to their system without a visit and without a charge! For years, Ralph, Kevin and Sal were able to help me when small issues arose with my system (never an issue with the monitoring) often for free and always via remote assistance. I ultimately bought a home that had ADT monitoring with some broken parts and non-functioning monitoring. ADT came out and told me the entire system would need to be replaced; that it could not be relocated as I requested; and they offered a steep monthly monitoring charge determined in part, by the value of the surrounding homes in the neighborhood. Immediately, I changed to Geoarm. They were able to address all of the issues remotely including problems that arose from ADTs improper installation. They were able to offer me dual modality wifi/cellular communication as backup to the issues I had with the existing communicator. When sensors went bad in the old system, GeoArm was able to help me find and install new wireless ones remotely, and help get them working with the system. Despite my receiving "all of the codes and programming and master codes" from the prior owner, I did not have one of the necessary codes. Geoarm was able to remotely find this and share it with me when my in-person alarm repair person/electrician could not. Geoarm provides old-world, knowledgeable, professional, prompt and friendly service ---something you can rarely find today. And, they do it at fair and reasonable prices. In most places, you can't find this kind of knowledge and service regardless of the price you might be willing to pay. Don't hesitate. Choose GEOARM. You will not be sorry.
