If the needle poked me in the center why am I bruising my whole arm?

When I went in everything seemed great, until it was time had the donation. The lady had poked me wrong and have about 3 different people moving the needle which made it a very uncomfortable experience. I saw another review where they messed up her arm and they also left bruising to where I can not donate now. I couldn't even finish my bottle because it kept stopping. I would recommend looking into BioLife because the people there are pretty experienced.

    Their level of service.

I've been coming to this location for over a year. Staff has been alright and overall never really any major complaints until now...this is ridiculous. First...on May 30th I arrived at 1:20 pm and got screen per usual. Then proceeded to wait over 2.5 hours before I got called back to the donation floor, only to wait in the chair another 30 minutes. Manager approached me (the only person there sticking) telling me all the staff called in sick due to some party the night before....and to top it off he missed my vein terribly. Now fast forward to today, July 1st. I hadn't been back since May 30th due to how terribly it went and thought it was time. Well nope! The picture attached to this review is from them closing early due to staffing issues. Up until May I was frequent enough donor to have Gold level status at one point but no more. I'm finding another location.

My bruising from being stabbed incorrectly in 3 places I haven't bruising smh

I usually have a dope experience at this Plasma center. First 4 times you donate you get the most money for plasma. My 4th time they had a trainee, who messed my vein all the way up & I couldn't get the full amount because I wouldn't let them stick me again smh! Lemme show you my arm because now I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to go

My neighbor suggested I try BioLife, so I went to this location on Richmond Avenue. There was only one person at the Check-In counter so I had to wait 20 minutes. Once I checked in, which took 5 minutes, I waited another 5 minutes before seeing the first screening unit. The screening took about 5 minutes. I then waited for 10 minutes to visit with a nurse for a physical exam. The exam lasted only 5 minutes. The nurse told me I was not eligible to donate because I had a pacemaker. That's odd. I've been donating for years with a pacemaker without a single problem. I asked the nurse why the disqualification wasn't posted on their website. The nurse didn't apologize. So, I wasted $45 on Uber and 1 hour of waiting in lines just to be denied. This place was a zoo. They were short staffed which caused very long lines. I only met one staffer who was pleasant, the rest appeared to be rushed and unconcerned. One nurse appeared to be frantic while trying to move customers along. After witnessing all of this, I can't imagine why anyone would go here except those who were hard pressed to get some money. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll continue to donate for free at Gulf Coast Blood Centers where I'm surrounded by pleasant staff and get free snacks, including Otis Spunkmeyer cookies.

I've heard nurses speaking to her so rudely and refusing to offer her any assistance. When we visited, she was visibly unkept, unable to shower and not provided with proper nutrition for over a week now! The communication at this facility is non-existent! I've spoken with the complaint department with absolutely no resolve. I've also left message after message for the clinical director and nurses with no solution or even a returned phone call! Voyages Sugarland will not provide me with a possible release date, the issue is just put on another department. Don't ever allow your loved ones to be sent to this facility! They will be neglected and you will not receive any communication. This facility deserves to be reported to the state and shut down!

I explained that I had been calling for days to provide input regarding discharge planning and had not received any return calls. I asked what the discharge plan was. He stated that the plan involved outpatient facilities not covered by the patient's insurance and not affordable, making it unrealistic and not functional for continuity of care. When I requested to speak with the therapist or psychiatrist before committing to a pickup time, he acknowledged my request and said the therapist would call tomorrow, but insisted that I give a pickup time immediately for his paperwork. He repeatedly stated he had nothing to do with the planning but still pressured me. During the call--in front of the patient--he made several inappropriate statements. He said that he himself should have been gone already, implying that we were wasting his time and that it was our responsibility that he had not finished his work within his hours. This was unprofessional and unethical. When I responded directly, he claimed I was "triggering the patient," when in fact it was his own statements causing distress. Additionally, while I was on the phone and he did not like what I was saying, he asked the patient, "How old are you?" in a manner that seemed intended to manipulate the patient into believing they did not need parental involvement. Fortunately, the patient did not respond that way, but this behavior was unprofessional, unethical, and manipulative.

She was very nice and helpful throughout my labor and I was able to have a successful delivery thanks to her. I will say I found it a bit disorganized as after I had the baby I was waiting to be transferred to my other room for about 4 hours. There was some mistakes made while I was there but overall everything turned out good. I did love the fact that my baby never left my sight. He roomed with me throughout my entire stay. Overall everything turned out good. Compared to Sugar Land Methodist where I had my first child I would say they need to have friendlier nurses and be more organized. Thank you for everything! On a side note it kind of sucked that the cafeteria wasn't open on the weekends which is when I came in for delivery. My family had to leave to get food instead of being able to just stay and get something. It would be better if they could open weekends too. As well as the gift shop would be nice.

tl;dr - this is the most expensive way I've found to give your blood to someone who may or may not…read morebe a medical professional. The Yelp Deal: If you purchase this Yelp deal, you are only getting $10 off. It is NOT paying for a treatment. You will be charged another $99 when you go (total charge of $189 for a service that is normally $199). Also, double check the 5-star reviews - most are more than two years old and posted by people with few friends and even fewer reviews. Booking online: As soon as you book online via their website, you'll receive a phone call from someone confirming the appointment and asking if you have any questions. Keep in mind that the website does not mention how much services are going to cost unless you pre-pay with PayPal. So, I booked online with the pay later option then got the Yelp deal thinking I was covered for the treatment. Cost of the treatment is not a question I would have thought to ask the person confirming my appointment. Check in: You fill out some paper work and sign a few documents. Nothing too terrible or time consuming. Keep in mind that I arrived at my appointment 30 mins early and got into the room 10 mins early. At no time during the check-in process was I told how long the treatment would take but based on my research online, I had planned about 30 minutes. Consultation: Courtney took me to a private room and because I thought I was talking to a medical professional on my first visit, I went into a quick recap of what I was hoping to accomplish with these treatments. Courtney was overwhelmed by more than, "I'll take the vitamin bag" and called in Kirk to talk to me and to make me a custom bag. STOP SCANNING - THIS PART IS IMPORTANT: At this point in the visit, it still hasn't occurred to me how easily I'm convinced that people wearing scrubs are medical professionals and now that I think about it, at no point in this process was anyone referred to as a Doctor. Blood work: You sign a document that says you understand that blood work needs to be done prior to IV Treatment but the fact that they don't tell you what they're checking for (besides blood count) makes me very, very uncomfortable. They have your blood by your consent and you have no idea what they're going to do with it or who they are going to send it to. My anxiety takes me to a place where my blood results are now going to be sold with my credit score on the dark web or used in some sort of cloning experiment funded by ancestry.com. Seriously, I just gave them my blood with absolutely no follow up questions? I'm an idiot. The treatment: Courtney brings in a bag of yellow fluid and tells me that the chair I'm sitting in can recline if I want it to. I confirm that it should take about 30 mins and he says, "maybe 45." BTW, it took my bag an hour to drain. He checked on me a couple of times but only offered me a call button at the end of my treatment... to let him know when the bag was empty. If you decide to do this, please remember to ask for a blanket beforehand. I didn't realize how cold the fluids would be going into your body and of course that temperature is going to end up throughout your entire body. They did not offer a blanket or water or anything except the Counting Crows Pandora channel to listen to while I was in the room. An hour of the Counting Crows channel on Pandora. Please remember to bring your headphones. Check out: When I complained about the wait time, the new admin at the front desk told me to ask for the short bag next time. Seriously? Next time? Why wasn't that an option given to me THE FIRST TIME?! For those of you still convinced you want to do this, please (for me), ask for a blanket and the short bag. And if you could find out what they're doing with our blood, that would be fantastic. Also, she didn't know how to ring up the Yelp deal because I'm apparently the only person who has ever fallen for it. I arrived 30 mins early and was there for an hour and 40 mins in the middle of my work day. Considering their hours of operation, the cost, and the wait time - this is clearly not a service targeted to anyone who works regular business hours or (let's face it) even works at all. If this review saves one person $199... I'll feel way better than I did after this treatment. Let's talk about how I feel: Like someone who wasted money paying the tab for someone they just spent two unproductive hours with and who they are never going to call again. And two hours later, my urine is the same color as the fluid they had in the bag. Coincidence? Bonus: While I was impressed (and maybe a little hurt) that they didn't try to upsell me to anything else they were selling in the building (Lipo, Saxenda, Botox), I do feel like they are missing a HUGE marketing opportunity by not offering a Super Soldier discount - a bag a week for only $10,000 (That's a savings of $348)!

This my our experience. my niece got a major dental surgery and not able to eat solid food for a few days and feeling a little fatigue. She has fast metabolism and usually consumed a lot of food but not being able to eat solid food for a few days making her tired and lost some weight. We are hoping the Myers IV will help with her energy and recovery. We call in to check if we can come in that day and the price of the IV. We was told there are 2 types of Myers Cocktail IV , 1) $150 @) $199. I drove my niece there and decided to also get the IV while waiting for her, I ask about the Glutathine IV and was told there are 2 options 1) $199 and $250. We told the staff my niece with go for $150 option and I would go for $199. After we were done My niece was charged $199 and I was charged $275. We were both shocked. We ask them again and they told us these are the prices for what we got. We were not in a mood for argue with the staff. We paid and left. There is no price chart in this office or on the website so it hard to argue with them. I felt confident that I didn't ask for $275 option b/c in my mind my budget was under $200. However, I will give them the benefit of the doubt that there might be a misunderstanding or miscommunication between us and the office. But at the end we had to pay for more than what we were quoted for. That did not sit well with us. If you decided to give this place a try for whatever reason, make sure to write down the price and the services they quoted you for. The staff was nice and friendly, it hard for me to know who is responsible for this shady transaction, did they follow the business owner instruction? or was it their way of doing business. Why waste your money and have to deal with this. We will never come back here again.
