This is a high-volume/ super streamlined practice so I think some people might love it and some people might hate it. I don't want to generalize the types of people who may or may not like it because everybody is different but say you're someone who values getting an appointment faster over seeing a particular doctor every time, this is great because they all have different schedules and you have a better chance of one having a last minute opening if you don't care which doctor. If you also prefer to just make your appointment online yourself and fill out all the paperwork ahead of time yourself, then this is also the place for you. Even when you check in, you talk to a "virtual" person so when I say streamlined, I mean the support staff do everything they can to maximize the doctors' productivity. Still, when you do see the doctor, it doesn't feel rushed but their policy is "one problem per visit" so I guess if you're used to a smaller practice with one or two doctors who don't bounce around between patients and offer more personal service, you might not like it here. I know one older person in my life that would probably not like them but I thought they were good. read more

3/14/2025: I saw Dr. Vaughn for the first time. My previous dermatologist retired, so I needed to get established with a new doctor. Without knowing the doctors in the practice and not having any recommendations, I selected this office due to location to/from work and home. The parking is very convenient. The main lot is a decent size and they have additional parking in a garage that is easy to get to. I got tired of the Memorial Hermann parking, so I was careful to avoid doctors in that area. When I entered the 3 story building, I was easily able to find the listing for the Village Dermatology and located the floor I needed. 3rd floor, stepped off the elevator and the office was right there. I love convenience and ease of doctors' suites. It's already nerve racking enough going to a new doctor, I don't need the stress of parking, trying to locate the suite, etc. I was immediately greeted by the front desk attendant when I walked in and noticed the decor was almost spa like. They have products displayed on the wall and comfortable seating. I was about 15 minutes early, so I expected to wait a bit. The nurse came to retrieve me within about 5 minutes. I had some concern they might want to sell me a bunch of procedures for aging skin, or tell me about the latest advancements on cosmetic type fixes. I was very surprised that was not the case. I made an assumption based on the products sold in the reception area. I was very happy to feel it wasn't about upselling me. The waiting room had music playing, which I loved. That made me feel ore at ease. Dr. Vaughn introduced herself and we talked about the concerns. She did a full body check and addressed my questions for the moles and other skin "issues". I've never had any issues of major concern, no skins cancers, etc, but I do like to have my skin checked each year due to the moles. I want to make sure they are not growing or need attention. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Vaughn. She is very thorough, pleasant, and explains things well. Some of the things I self diagnosed were completely wrong, so I am happy I went to get checked. I feel like I made a good choice. Online registration for new patients is a breeze. I highly recommend doing your paperwork before your visit and I recommend seeing Dr. Caroline Vaughn. Dr. Jogi is amazing, she has been my dermatologist since 2018 and she has treated me for severe HS. She was also part of my cancer journey, and has helped refer me for non dermatological issues over the years. Been to many dermatologist before and she is by far the best. She's very caring, humble, professional, and a really good doctor overall. She offers lots of cosmetic dermatological services, but she doesn't try to push them on you like previous dermatologist I've seen have been to. Her office is very clean, welcoming, and has a very pleasing ambiance. The staff is very friendly, professional, and really great. Cindy, always remembers me when I come in and makes me feel like a VIP patient when she's at the front desk. They also opened a new office in Katy that I'm sure is the same. Pro tip - she's so good sometimes an appointment is not available right away. Take the next available and ask to be put on the waitlist. All doctor's offices should have this. You get a text when someone cancels if you're next on the waitlist. Then you have so much time like 10-15 minutes to accept or decline. Review for skin condition NOT botox, fillers etc. Dr. Nasroti was very patient and understanding of my situation! She was able to diagnose my skin condition and thoroughly explain it. She discussed different treatment plans (keeping in mind of insurance). However, when she realized I was paying out of pocket, she discussed the different options I have and made sure I was ok with the price range. (Pro-tip: Download the GoodRx app and look up the prescription. You will find discounted prices at different pharmacies.) Environment: Super clean and following COVID guidelines. Limited the number of patients (through appointments). Everyone wears a mask and hand sanitizer is available. I had to change the pharmacy for my prescription. I left both a voicemail and an online request form (?). They responded within a day, and I got my prescription! I was looking for an affordable dermatologist who was reputable (bc paying OOP sucks). Dr. Neda Nosrati has the rudest bedside manners that I have ever seen in a physician. Unprofessional, arrogant and quite plain disrespectful. As a first time patient I came here for my partners visit as he had never had a preventive skin care screening. I introduced myself kindly and some of the concerns we had. She was very short, quick and just condescending in the way she spoke to me when I asked her some questions. For one of the questions she said she had no idea what kind of skin rash or infection it was? Are we even at the dermatologist office or what? What kind of answer is that? I told her it was our first visit here and was hoping for a warm introduction and friendly conversation but she basically told me I can wait in the waiting room until she was done and I did. I would not recommend Dr. Neda Nosrati to anyone. I have seen many Baylor physicians who were far more courteous and professional than this individual. Maybe the other practitioners at this location are more professional and actually care about their patients? I don't know how else this place would have such a high rating. For Dr. Nosrati who is the owner and practitioner at her business I expected her to treat my partner and I with respect at the very least and be more professional. Do better! Despite my ethnicity, I'm pasty white. This means I burn easily, I get freckles, moles, and SPF means So People Fry-less in my world. I've had to have a mole removed before and tested, because it kept bleeding. All was well, but that one dermatologist in the med center left, and I never found a new one until now. I found Dr. Philips through a search on the Houston Methodist website. I needed her to check out a mole that was changing - all is well, otherwise I wouldn't be posting so soon- and she was listed on their website. I was a bit concerned, because it wasn't part of the Methodist and you had to drive out of your way to reach it. The place looks amazing...almost a little too nice and I was worried I had entered some fancy rich person dermatologist place. And truthfully it kinda is, as the cosmetic treatments are where they make their money. They even had a make up stand, of a brand I hadn't heard of despite living at Ulta or Sephora at times. It was a very high end luxury cosmetic. As for the medical side, I felt Dr. Phillips did what she had too and gave me extra pointers about my moles. I knew about the ABCD, which I let her explain, but I didn't know how hair follicles could temporarily cause changes. That wasn't something my previous dermatologist taught me. She was professional, through and even gave me a prescription for another unrelated problem. A nurse did push to see if I wanted a cosmetic anything procedure, but I said no. I don't mind saying no to people, but someone who feels uncomfortable saying that may not like that side. I did not find Dr. Philips to bring that up, so she is professional in that regard. My experience at Village Dermatology was so wonderful. From check in to being seen by Dr. Chapman herself the customer service and the experience was efficient and top notch. You can easily check-in on the tablet at the front desk. It also allows you to pay after checking in. It didn't have to wait long to be taken back into a room. I waited for approximately 10 minutes before I was seen by the doctor and felt she was attentive and thorough. Her diagnosis also alerted me to other issues I may be having so I will be contacting another physician soon. Just about a year ago, I came back from out of the country and 3 weeks later noticed a rash. After it didn't improve, I partnered with my general practitioner and after a month of steriods and creams not working, I decided to visit a dermatologist. I did so but unfortunately chose the wrong one - an office that had poor communication, lack of follow-through and just an overall frustrating experience. I then decided to call Village Dermatology (with diagnosis in hand), and secured an appointment with Dr. Nguyen. Let me tell you...the experience was a total 360! Dr. Nguyen reviewed my documents from my prior doctor, he was prepared to see my skin, explore my scenario with me from start to that day, and wanted to be my partner in determining a solution. I was diagnosed with a rare skin disease called Pityriasis rubra pilaris. Frighteningly, there's really no known cause and no one treatment that will put you into remission. Doctor Nguyen and I thoroughly discussed all of my options and we made the best decision possible for me. Granted, things did not clear up for some time and frustration/depression set it but all the way I knew I had great support from all those around me especially Doctor Nguyen. We really nailed the best medications and for a couple of months now, I've only been on one medication and am almost 100% clear. It's been a humbling and life-changing experience but I'm so thankful I gave Village Dermatology and Doctor Nguyen a chance. They'll be my go to for my PRP (hoping it'll be in remission over the next couple of years) and all my derm issues in the future. After I've booked and waited for it to come up they send a message to go in for an earlier date, I accept thinking, oh great they really did keep me in mind. Absolutely horrible experience - recommend avoiding the Village Dermatology at all costs. Made an appointment a few months in advance for Dr. Jogi at 12pm. A few days before, I received an email that the appointment was at 1:20pm. On the day of, I called to confirm and they said I actually had a 2pm appointment with Dr. Nguyen and that they had no records of any 12 or 1:20 appointment or any other appointment with Dr. Jogi. Confused and dismayed, I nonetheless went to the appointment. I arrived at 2:01 or 2:02 pm. There was no one at the front desk so I stood in front of the counter for a few minutes before being helped. I then watched 15 or so patients arrive after me and get taken to the back. After 40 minutes of waiting, I asked when I would be seen. The front desk lady informed me it was taking extra long as I was late, and that they should be with me within 5 minutes. Unsure if this was a further cruel joke, I sat back down and watch another cycle of newly arriving patients being taken to the back. After an hour of waiting, I walked out and will never return. If you enjoy sheer incompetence, changing appointments/doctors without notice, and rude staff, look no further than the Village Dermatology! read more

I came to this office the first time today. The appointment taker was efficient as well as the person who collected information before seeing the dermatologist although I felt a tiny sense of a rush conversation my observation was confirmed when I saw doctor Nosrati. She spoke fast and repeated several times that I won't need to remember things as it's been written in paper to be given. The entire session was way too rush from face to hair. I didn't feel comfortable or trust this place as I felt as if I was in a robotic beauty shop where seller counts every minutes given to buyer. My overwhelmed feeling topped by when I paid for the service and the money collector had shown to me that she wanted nothing except to collect money and don't-ask-her-any-question look and tone of voice because her time is too important for patients. I was given hands-out to purchase product in-house. I would have purchased that product if they prescribed such I could use my HSA account to pay for. The answer was "it's just a product they recommended and is available in their store. Prescription was not given and their price is $39 higher than on the internet. You do the math, ONLY the ignorance will purchase product from them. I would have given this place a ONE star if it's not because the appointment taker and the patient assistance. And definitely ZERO (0) for the person who checked me out for her rude attitude and indifference toward patients. And ONE (1) goes to Dr. Nosrati for appearance of rushing conversation. NO I will NOT return to this place. Those hands-out given to me, that info can be found on the internet. Today I paid $110 for 10 minutes of Dr. Norsati s rush time. Consumers, be WARNED! On the Google reviews, the rating may not be accurate as it appeared fabricated to me. It does not align with the reality of my experience, NO WAY!!! Do check the lower scores first and you will see a similar complaint pattern. It's the culture of this place and this is a fundamental issue! Your health can't be taken care of effectively by rushed hands! You will create another problem for yourself in additions to what you already have in the long run. No thanks! I regret not checking complaint first both on Yelp and Google reviews. I based my dermatologist selection on a total high rating for this place which I don't even know if it's real ratings or fabricated ratings just to learn the after effect later in which time and money has already been wasted. Wow! What a change from my first appointment where they were very attentive. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and had a smooth check-in. Then I waited and waited and waited .... This went on for 30 minutes until I questioned the front desk who said the doctor was running behind. After 10 more minutes I was taken to a room where I waited and waited and waited ..... Worst office visit ever!! Rude staff, impossible to get an appointment as everything is online and they make you jump through soooo many hoops before coming in. If you have more than one concern, you have to schedule more than one visit. Please note you'll be out of pocketing each visit. The "doctor" saw me for less than 5 minutes. Took one 1/2 second glance at my face and gave me a printout of what my condition was. When I had questions, she was unable to answer them and referred me to her office staff. None of whom could answer basic questions. This place is a total scam. Anyone writing a 4/5 star review is most likely a personal friend trying to help them cover themselves. World-renowned my ass!! For each negative review written, they will reply with a snarky comment and blame the patient for making mistakes. They'll say legally they can't offer a rebuttal and give some generic excuse as to why the patient is unhappy. Again, signs of terrible business management and lack of ethical concern for patients. Village Dermatology is a money-making scheme young girls crafted together. They set up a nice office in a nice part of town as a facade but ultimately they could care less about patients' real needs and concerns. They just want your money. They've hired a very young staff of airheads who don't have a clue how to treat paying customers or about the field of dermatology. They're incompetent in answering even basic questions. Every answer was "talk to so and so" or "well so and so would know." When asked to speak that that person, coincidentally those people were always "unavailable." How/when/why they have received "five star" ratings is beyond me. They'll ask for insurance but then state insurance doesn't cover ANY of their procedures or visits and charge you a fortune to give you a printout to read at home. I'm outraged they feel it's acceptable to charge for a consultation when they didn't consult with me at all about my needs or concerns. The "doctor" cut me off, dominated the conversation, spoke a mile a minute and then left the room and pawned me off to her assistants. These doctors look like millennials who just graduated and are trying to be impressive by rapidly firing off a bunch of medical lingo when in reality they don't seem to have a clue. Everything I asked the response was "come back for another appointment to discuss" or "let me let you talk to so and so about it." A wild goose chase. Mind you, this all happened within a maximum time frame of 10 minutes as my "consultation" was only 5 mins tops!! Once I left, I was told I had to take care of my own prescription by contacting an "out-of-state specialized pharmacy" to "custom make" my prescription and they "had no idea" how much that would cost. Every doctor I've ever had had called it in and prescribed it for me and been able to answer questions about it, including costs. So red flags really went up. Never once have I received a follow up call, text, email to see how I was doing etc. Because they don't care!!! Their high reviews are falsified and exaggerated. This place needs to be investigated by the medical board and by BBB and shut down. Total scam artists. read more

Let me start by saying I really love dr Nosrati and think she is amazing and very helpful. She always takes time to address my concerns and answer any questions I might have. Unfortunately, I did not have such a great experience with Tiffany for Botox. At my appointment she rushed me and didn't seem to want to listen or take the time to talk to me. She told me she would go more conservative on my Botox which i said whatever you think is best but I want to make sure it's noticeable. I left thinking just how unpleasant my appt was but hoping the results were good. After almost a week i messaged her saying I didn't feel like i was getting great results. She assured me it takes time so I waited and my forehead did seem to smooth out a bit with one eyebrow a little messed up. I messaged her and said it started to look "better". After less than 2 months my Botox completely wore off and I was told to come in for an appt. I get to my appt and she acted already annoyed that I was there. Then proceeds to argue when i told her it should have lasted longer and that it typically lasts 4-5 months on me. She said you told me you wanted less units so that's what i did. I never told her that. Why would I want to come in every 1-2 months to do it again? She was going to charge me the full amount to completely redo it which honestly if she would've been nicer and I actually liked her work I would've done but the fact that she was being so rude and arguing with me was so upsetting. Why would i do it AGAIN if i didn't like it the first time!? My experience which is reflected by many other post is that practice is set up for the Doctors and not their patients. To start with, the use of a poorly designed appointment software that the doctors or their staff do not understand and cannot be depended on is the face of Village Dermatology. The doctors even make excuses for it. I believe the practice needs to embrace the patient from the time they seek medical attention through treatment. The patient is the one worried or anxious when they call their doctors. I think Village Dermatology has forgot that. The good news is in Houston we have a lot of dermatologist that graduated at the top of their class from the best schools that put the patient first. Sadly, my attempt to see the dermatologist here ended before I could even make an appointment. When I called, the receptionist told me I could not make an appointment with her, I would have to go online to the web site and fill out the new patient forms. Inconvenient but not totally outrageous. The real trouble is with the website's new patient form itself.I tried six times to load my insurance card info and the form would not accept the jpeg or jpg forms even though the error message said they were required! I skipped past that section of the form (The receptionist later told me that it was actually unnecessary) but got hung up by another glitch when the form asked me about languages spoken. No combination of answers, English nor English with my two other languages, would satisfy the error message! After trying six times to fill out the form, I called the office again, explained the glitches in the site. The poor receptionists only response was that "it should work." She finally got permission to let me arrive an hour early for a 3pm appointment in order to fill out the paperwork (an hour?!?) When I asked for permission to arrive just 45 minutes beforehand, so I could finish a work appointment, she said the doctor would not see me then. I politely told her I would find another dermatologist and her reply was to hang up. This may be a good doctor but I'll never know because just making an appointment was near impossible. read more

It is true that is a great place, really nice. However, I did not like that I was there for acne issues and the doctor did not ask one question to me! She came in speaking super fast about my 5 options and I am sorry but acne has several reasons, she never asked about my food intolerances or my physical exercise, not even which sunscreen I am using. I had to show her my moisturiser and sunscreen as she was walking out of the room already! The only thing she talked about was which pill I should take in 5 min! She was pushing really hard a strong medicine without even considering other options! First of all, to avoid any confusion if you are trying to make an appointment you have to do it online. Yes, it's a little different than how other offices roll but I think if you give it a chance you will find that it is more efficient. I saw Dr. Jogi and while she is warm, she's also efficient. She doesn't make a lot of small talk but does discuss your treatment options and she doesn't push the most expensive or intensive treatments as first options. I never waited long because of the way she handles her patients and I would much rather be informed in and out than make small talk. For some reason they have a ton of admin-type people working in her office, like a ton. Not that it matters, I just thought it was kind weird. read more

I do not know how the doctors are but the system to request and cancel appointments is the worst I've ever experienced. I made my first appointment and have to wait like three weeks for confirmation. I needed to postpone my appointment, called the system and waited 40 minutes to reschedule ans was unable. I called and talked to an assistance which cancelled and reschedule my appointment with another doctor. I went to my appointment and was told that I never cancelled or reschedule the first one. I had an appointment with Dr. Tony Nguyen. Came in for acne. He did not ask me any questions about the products I currently use, which I thought was strange. He basically told me my only option is Accutane. I let him know that Accutane is not an option for me and asked for alternatives. His response was that there is no scientific proof that diet effects your acne..he could prescribe antibiotics or an ointment, but that wouldn't cure it. It was awesome they had appointments for next day, but from the other reviews it does seem like they speed through their consults. I had an appointment at 9:10 and was out of the office by 9:20. It's great that the doctor "knew exactly what it was" but we will see if the remedy actually works. Office space is beautiful, but the fast pace wasn't very welcoming. I feel like this place is more for beauty procedures such as filler or Botox rather than for actual skin problems. read more
