I have been a regular donor with CSL Plasma and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to an important medical resource. Many staff members at this center are kind and professional, and I respect the work involved in maintaining donor safety. However, my experience with one particular staff member has made the donation process increasingly difficult, and I ultimately decided not to return. On multiple visits I had interactions with a nurse named Gladys that felt unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. During one visit I was told that I had bruising on my arms. At the time, I explained that what was being seen on my arms was dirt from moving boxes at work earlier that day. Gladys spent several minutes wiping my arms with alcohol pads while stating that she was a certified nurse and knew what bruising looked like. The marks were removed with the alcohol pads; however, a note about bruising was still placed in my chart. When I returned a few days later, I was informed that I needed a nurse evaluation because my chart indicated "bad bruising on arms." I requested to see another medical staff member. She evaluated my arms and explained that there were no signs of bruising and that if bruising had been present from the previous visit it would likely still have been visible. I explained the prior interaction, and although the situation was eventually cleared, it delayed my ability to donate and was confusing. On another visit I had a small cut on my finger that had already scabbed over and was covered with a bandage. I was asked to remove the bandage, and the finger was repeatedly examined and pressed on during the screening process. The interaction felt uncomfortable and left me concerned that the wound was being closely probed despite already being healed and covered. I was not offered a replacement bandage. There was also an instance where I was told my hematocrit level was too low to donate. When I politely asked if I could see the reading for clarification, I was told that I was not allowed to view it. While I respect safety protocols, the interaction felt dismissive rather than informative, and I was told to "eat some steak and greens" and try again another day. I previously raised concerns and was told that I could request another staff member. However, the situation continued and the interactions remained uncomfortable, particularly since the center appeared to be short staffed and she was frequently the only nurse available. More recently, I brought my son in as a new donor. During his screening he was told by Gladys that something was seen in the back of his throat and that he needed to return with a doctor's note using the form provided by CSL Plasma. We scheduled and paid for a visit at MD Now urgent care, where the physician evaluated him and confirmed there was nothing wrong and cleared him to donate. When we returned with the completed form, we were informed that the CSL Plasma physician would still need to review the documentation before he could donate, which had not been explained during the original visit. We were also told that the CSL Plasma physician is only present at certain times and that we would need to call back periodically to find out if my son had been cleared. This was frustrating, as my son had returned prepared to donate based on the information originally provided. Another concern involved the form itself. It had been described to us as a "doctor's note" form; however, the reverse side of the document appeared to include an authorization for the release of medical records to CSL Plasma. My son did not recall signing a separate authorization allowing MD Now to release his medical records; it appeared that a signature from another form he signed earlier confirming his presence to donate may have been used in connection with this form. Because the form had been presented simply as a doctor's clearance note, it was unclear to us that it also functioned as a medical records authorization. This raised concerns for us regarding consent and privacy. Plasma donors contribute to an essential medical resource, and the donor experience should reflect professionalism, clear communication, and respect. I hope CSL Plasma management and corporate leadership review feedback like this, particularly regarding donor safety, communication, documentation accuracy, and authorization procedures, so that future donors have a better experience. read more

I went to this location on May the 25th a Saturday before Memorial Day I a returning donor they girl at the front told me they stopped taking new donors at 1:30 and I for there at 1:40 even though they closed at 4PM apparently management told her this. I called the facility in Greenacres and the staff member there told me they were lying and took me at 2:39 when they close at 3PM. read more

The absolute worst place to go for your blood and plasma needs. Octapharma Plasma is where you want to go. CSL Plasma is not just noticeably understaffed, but they're ruthlessly unprofessional. Kelly Callahan, a manager, is extremely unprofessional and makes decisions based on emotions instead of quality customer service. Cici Heim (not sure if spelling), the nurse, is jarringly disrespectful and incapable. She and Kelly, should not be near patients or anyone relating to customer service. In the middle of my physical exam, another random employee came in the exam room and closed the door behind her and then proceeded to say she had a stomach ache and needed something for it. Cici, made the decision to treat the employee while I watched her drill her with questions to try to diagnose her. Then, Cici got back to my exam and proceeded to take incorrect notes on my dental procedure, I assume bc she's not an experienced nurse. This "mistake" of Cici's was the final reason (excuse they gave me) that I was there for about 4 hours and left with NOTHING! Kelly Callahan and Cici Heim should work in different fields, far away from clients and confidential patient information. I will update my reviews on each app when/if I receive a response from their corporate office. I've requested they retain the video security footage from my visit today as the manager informed me it was illegal for me to videotape on my phone inside their office. I was in a screening office with one employee and me, and the door closed. They don't want you having record of their abuse on patients. Hear me loud and clear - you do not want to go here. I almost forgot - you need MUCH more than your ID, social security card and proof of address. Their website is not informative enough and Kelly Callahan admitted not all the info is on the website. Be prepared to drive back and forth to your home 2-3 times for their surprise need of documents. Love yourself enough to go somewhere else where you'll be treated respectfully and professionally, and will actually be able to meet your blood and plasma needs. read more

I am a first time donor, walked in and security guard helped me by asking front desk if there was anything I needed to do. The young lady at the front desk looked stressed and said "she can just sit down. " I had to sit on the north side of the waiting area. Couldn't see the front desk. I waited maybe 25 minutes no acknowledgment, but the people visible to the front desk staff were acknowledged and taken care of. Here is my suggestion to run a smoother and welcoming transitioning for NÉW DONORS/Walk-ins HAVE A SIGN IN SHEET. Hire a full time FRONT DESK PERSON. Horrible experience. Terrible experience.... Had the new girl try and stick me in my regular arm that I always use...keep in mind when have Gone a few times you tend to start seeing scarring where they stick the needle and makes it easy for the worker to know what vein to use. this new girl went to a complete different vein and missed completely Keep in mind I am very vascular I'm thinking to myself how the fuck did you just missed that vein. I remember why I stopped donating plasma here. As a "former" and returning donor, I can say that I'm unimpressed. If 52% of Palm Beach County didn't live at or below the poverty line, none of these facilities would be in business. I supplied my information and these morons left an outdated phone number on my account. This caused issues trying to register the new prepaid debit card. They also had the wrong zip code despite the fact that I've been at the same address 4 years and brought a bill with the address and zip code. One idiot employee disputed my ability to read 872 wpm (I informed the dumbass that my mother taught speed reading and I learned that skill). I believe they purposely recruit stupid people to work at these places. read more

I went to go donate plasma today. I completed the 64 questions. I sat down waited to take the short medical exam. When one of the staffs, latino woman was trying to be funny ask for my finger. I handed her my finger. She says I am sorry I mean finger print all while laughing, Yes I called her stupid because? It seems she was not taking her job very serious, Laughing giggling while taking someone's medical exam. I am there to donate plasma not for fun, games, laugher. I am there for strictly business and leave. I did argue back and forward with her. While I tried to tell her manage. The manager was no better. So now I will not go back to csl plasma. read more

So,,,finally after cple months of inbetween Maury and Jerry daytime commercials on "earn money by saving lives"and online research and reading testimonials of others who did,,,I took the first step into the world of Plasma donating.Despite being nervous about it,especially after reading all kinds of negative comments,,it wasn't bad.Staff was very friendly,place was clean,You read a little laminated 6 page info book and then watch a video of a dude that talks real slow anout plasma donating,,then it exsplains about when you have to go to a kiosk and answer questions.Then you go to screening area.They do check you up and down for track marks,rashes,sighns of drug abuse and or diseases.The screening questions on the kiosk thing is 64 questions long.yes and no,,seems mundane and like your going to just keep saying no,no,no,but be carefull it switches up on ya you just gotta read thoughly.Take your time,,it will end eventually.They check your protein levels by lil prick on your finger to draw blood.your temp and blood pressure too.weigh you as well.once your vitals are acceptable and youve answered all the kiosk questions then you get a physical examination.the basics,heart reflex eyes ears nose throat skin and all digits,,oh get used to being asked same questions throughout the whole time from beginning to end while being watched.when all is clear you see the pearly gates,,the donating station its like the promise land after all the time doing everything,,my blood pressure was lil high so I had to come back the next day and when I did it was lil high on second number so the person advised me to relax for fifteen mins and consentrate on breathing from my stomach not the chest.keeping my hand on my stomach whilebreathing ,,ill be damned if it did work.I was thinking after all the time and stuff I had to do that because my second number on my blood pressure was hoing to deferre me and thus this why the donaters station seemed like the pearly gates.while getting hooked up wasnt bad,nurses were awsome,watched movies on my phone,40=45mins on I was done,,$75 =1st time,,$50=2nd time,,2 more times at $50 ,then 5th time is $75 again with incentives to add more money.Not all CSL's are bad as it seemed from what I read.This I wanted to post a true personal exsperience because I was worried and I want to ease someone elses worries.oh by the way this was in Riviera bch florida just south of lakepark on us1,,, read more
