Tydings Memorial Bridge carries Interstate 95 over the Susquehanna River between Havre de Grace and Perryville. Completed in 1963 at a cost of $11 million, it was dedicated by President John F. Kennedy just eight days before his assassination. Named for longtime Maryland senator Millard Tydings, the bridge was part of the Northeast Expressway, later renamed the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway. It's a vital link in the I-95 corridor, handling tens of millions of vehicles annually. Architecturally, the bridge is a no-frills steel deck truss structure. It spans over 5,000 feet with a main span of 490 feet and a clearance of 90 feet below, allowing ships to pass beneath. The design prioritizes strength and efficiency over aesthetics, and it shows. There are no decorative elements, no pedestrian access, and no scenic overlooks. Just six lanes of traffic and warning signs about crosswinds. As a driving experience, it's fine. The views of the river are brief and bracketed by concrete barriers. It's a workhorse of infrastructure, reliable and unadorned, serving its purpose without fanfare. If you're looking for charm or character, you won't find it here--but you will get across the river. [Review 1157 of 2025 - 675 in Maryland - 24710 overall]

I thought there was nothing to do near Aberdeen MD but I am so glad I found this place. I didn't expect a museum in a middle of the park to be so big and so good. The museum consists of about five different buildings with different theme in each one. Don't want to spoil it, just go. I figured I wouldn't spend more than an hour since I didn't think it would be that big. But I ended up spending almost three hours there! The main reason this museum is so great is the volunteers!!! Thank you so much each and every one of you (if you happen to read this). There is a volunteer working in each building (one was empty since the volunteer didn't show up[but you can still go in there]). All the volunteers are so knowledgeable and so friendly! They know everything! One guide/volunteer was asked a question to which he didn't know the answer to. He actually went out to find the answer from other volunteers! Even if you don't want to explore the museums the whole area is lovely to walk around. I saw a deer. For someone who lives in NY, that alone is enough to make my day. Anyways, once again THANX to all the volunteers and workers! You guys make this museum. For potential visitors, don't even debate if you should go there, JUST GO! But be prepared to spend at least two hours there! It's well worth it. BTW apparently people have weddings here too! I don't know if this would be my choice for a wedding location, but definitely worth revising!

I've passed the stadium many times as it's located just off Interstate 95 in northern Maryland and can be seen from the highway. It's one of the few minor league ballparks I've visited with free parking. Tickets are a bit more expensive than other minor league games I've been to, but still substantially cheaper than attending a MLB game, and you're much closer to the action on the field. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the ballpark, and the sightlines are great regardless of where you're sitting. There are picnic tables and a kids play area set up in left field. As is typical of sporting venues, concessions are overpriced and the hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, and other food items our group tried were pretty underwhelming in terms of quality. The team store had a decent variety of merchandise, but was similarly overpriced. Many of the concession stands were closed with low attendance for an April game against the Brooklyn Cyclones, but I'm sure they open up when the summer season ramps up and attendance rises. Overall, it was a fun and low maintenance day at the ballpark, but I'd rank the overall experience a 3.5/5 at best compared to other minor league ballparks I've been to.
