When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

You can get quarters from a machine at the front that takes 1s, 5s, 10s, and 20s. *Fair warning, it did eat a 5 of mine at one point and there wasn't really anything I could do. You can also purchase dollar tokens with a credit card, but keep in mind that many of the machines are not full dollar amounts. There was a drink vending machine and a snack one, the snack one also had some mini detergent bottles and clear plastic laundry bags. I didn't try the ATM but there was one. The soda machine offered tap but tap pay was not working so I had to use dollar bills. The dryers were honestly the best part, they're huge and 25 cents gets you 5 minutes, and I found I could dry what I needed within 20 minutes. Put in $20 in the change machine because the ATM had a minimum of $20. I used the $7 washer and realized after putting in the quarters I had about $3 left. Now I'm not good at math but to have $3 left after only using $7 in change. Yeahhh I was missing my money so I put a complaint via email and the Texas area manager got back to me asking me to reply back with a date and time of when to meet one of the managers at the laundry so I can get reimbursed. I told them 8am the following day. So I showed up with laundry because I ok I'll just use the reimbursement to do some more laundry. Like predatory levels of overpriced on some items, several dollars for a tiny bag of chips that would cost $0.50-$1.50 at a grocery store or convenience store is sold for up to $5.00 sometimes. Not sure if this if the owner's doing or if they are renting that space to a vending vendor, but it's really off-putting in a world filled with shrinflation and ever-present corporate corruption.

Last load is at 8:30 PM every day. They've got single, double, triple, four, six, and ten load washers. The ten load machines are the best value, but there are only two of them, so plan for that. They also have two big dryers, but every dryer comes with a fee schedule that feels like an elementary school word problem. One dollar gets you four minutes to start, then twenty five cents for each additional two minutes. If you want about thirty minutes, you're looking at roughly $4.25. The smaller dryers $.25 for every 2 minutes, so $3.75 for thirty minutes. Getting them started can be a little finicky. (Ask for assistance) Now for the good news. The staff is genuinely kind, and the whole place is spotless. That alone makes the chore a lot less painful. The bathrooms are clean, no code required, and clearly taken care of. I'm pretty sure they offer wash and fold since the employees were constantly folding, wiping machines, or sweeping. The machines that are working run well, and the ones that are down are clearly marked. There's plenty of seating and rolling baskets to help you haul everything around. The only real drawback is the parking. The shopping center is small and the parking lot is even smaller. If you have mobility challenges, small kids, or a ton of laundry, getting a spot might be a pain. They do have WiFi, which is great because cell service in the building is weak. I can see this place turning into a zoo during peak hours, so timing matters. Overall, if I need a laundromat again, I'll be back.

There are four Spinzone locations-- three being in Austin, one in Round Rock-- and out of the three in Austin, this one feels the safest. Spinzone has created an online interface that can be assessed via mobile. Though convenient, there are several kinks with the app that needs improvement. A few flaws include: not being able to reload funds to your account, the app constantly crashing and requesting you to log in, and the difficulty navigating between pages. If you're using the mobile app, you can choose the machine that best suits your laundry needs. For washers, they offer 20, 30, 40, 60, and 80-pound capacity options. For dryers, you can select from 30, 45, and 70-pound capacity machines. The washers can run pretty pricey. For an 80 lb load, I paid almost $14 on a regular wash setting. However, the dryers are fairly affordable. For a 70-pound load, it only cost around $4. The process is pretty straightforward: 1) find the washer &/or dryer that fits your clothes 2) load them and lock the door 3) follow the prompts on the reader 4) add your detergent 5) adjust the wash/dry settings 6) hit start. My heavy load washed in just 20 minutes, and drying took no more than 45 minutes! Unfortunately, if you have a heavy load, the dryer door may not stay closed... we found our dryer to be open and our clothes spilling out when we returned. Note: these are commercial dryers, so the heat can get really intense and may melt certain fabrics. Unfortunately, my mattress cover didn't make it...

I had my washer go out at home and my laundry started to pile up, so scanned for a laundromat near…read moreme. I found Wash Day Laundry and the reviews were positive, so I gathered my clothes. The next day I arrived in the morning and noticed the times had changed where this place did not use quarters but use a credit card to pay. They also provide some updated services like dropping off laundry and they wash/dry/fold them and even pickup/delivery service. Three stainless steel Speed Queen washers were available and tossed my clothes into each one of them. You can pack up to 3/4 of clothes into the front loading drum. The lady working there helped me out by turning them on and showing me where to pour in the liquid soap (one cup). Remember to bring your own soap, but I think they sell some there. It was about $5 to wash and did not need to dry them there since my dryer was working, and took my wet clothes home. The machine had a digital countdown timer and took about 30 to wash. The door had a window so could see your clothes thrashing around. There are some seating available, restrooms and WiFi. They did have a TV but was showing old reruns of Friends. I just plugged in my AirPods and continued watching my marathon of The Office while I waited. Wash Day Laundry also had a few large washing machines ($7) to handle big items like comforters and blankets. It is nice to have someone working there to help you out and after my second visit I started to learn the routine there. I plan to return to wash my comforter and blankets where this place was great.

So our dryer broke about 2 to 3 weeks ago so I have had to go here a few times to keep our clothes…read morewashed and dried. The staff is always friendly and helpful, they have quite a few washing machines though there are a few broken ones and at least one that can't get hot water but works otherwise. The whole back wall is dryers which seems like plenty and would be if it were not for inconsiderate people. Most days I have gone managed to be a weekday so no bad. This last visit was on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Barely found a parking spot, but my big issue was the dryers. So many had clothes sitting in them, the cycle done but no one taking care of it. Not a great look when it is not busy but when it is so busy there are no open ones do better. I wish the laundromat had some kind of rule or did something if it is sitting there too long, at least when it is this busy. But otherwise it was fine. None of the TV's have ever been on, though that is one of the selling points on the wall. The first visit back in 2019 had one of them going. Since then not at all. They do sell cans of soda, water, and chips if you are going to be there for a while.

The customer service has not changed, it is still top notch. Bottom line, weekends are messy. I'll try to stick to during the week and that might help.
