Conveniently located. It was pretty expensive to use the machines. She couldn't make change so I could buy detergent nor run the cash register so I could use my card. I got soap at the convenience store next door. You top up a laundry card at a self-service machine. It's $2.00 just for the card. A clean and safe laundry mat located right in north university! A good number of washers and a few 30lb and 60lb washers for bigger loads. A 30lb was with an extra rinse cycle on cold setting will cost about $5.29. The regular washers are half that. It's normally about 1/2 an hour to complete a wash which isn't bad. The dryers are pretty good a medium setting for half an hour is enough to dry my clothes. Friendly Staff is on site and very helpful. They also have full service cleaning where you can pay by the pound and they'll wash and fold for you. They do take up a corner of machines by the staff area. There's seating by the window so you can people watch or get some work done as well as by the wall. There are plenty of high tables to fold clothes as well. Parking is also available out front and if you are bored there are a number of shops in the area. BTW - the machines use a card system which you can refill with cash or card. read more

After my finalized review of Laundry Works, the manager kindly reached out to me, which made me willing to retract my last review. After my my most recent encounter, I rather keep the funds on my card and let it fade into existence, than continue supporting this business. I was having issues with drying my 2 week load laundry (you know the load). The manager suggested to try separating my clothes, as the dryer can only dry about 25 pounds per load. I did so. However, I noticed after SIX swipes, my clothes weren't even heated. I informed the attendant who stated that I had "too much clothes in the dryer", but that didn't explain why there was absolutely NO heat coming from the dryer? I swiped FOUR more times.... after my load was "complete". I informed her that she needs to put a sticky note on this dryer because it's not drying... she scuffed at me. LADY, IM TRYING TO HELP YOU!! In no way, has she been helpful. I understand this is not your dream job, but customer service should always be a priority, no matter WHERE you are. read more

I first started using this laundry mat in 2018. It was by far the best in town. Clean, good machines and nice help. Over the last two years it is clear that the owners just don't care. Out of order machines remain out of order for months. Today I arrived to find half of the machines not working. To make matters worse, some are marked and some aren't so several people came in, loaded the machine, put in the detergent then tried to start a machine and it's OOO. Super frustrating!!! Place still seems clean and machines that work are good but they are not sanitizing any surfaces or anything between use. User beware and be sure to bring your own sanitizer wipes. Update! My favorite laundromat in Austin. Uses cards instead of coins, usually not very crowded and has machines that take huge loads and get the clothes fresh and clean. The staff could be a bit more attentive but I'm sure they aren't paid much and they have to be busy doing laundry while helping customers. I go out of my way to go to this laundromat. Probably the best laundromat in the city imo. The dryers ended up putting more stains in my whites than the washers took out, so make sure to check nothing's left inside the dryers before u use them. How do you downgrade a laundromat? Try not opening your store. I found LaundryWorks three months ago and as you can see by the original review I loved it: there's a lot going for it. But not enough: let's get real. The Wi-fi never works so don't bother advertising it. But what's really made me drop my rating and change to other stores is their constant inability to open on time. Four times in three months I've gone here and its locked after their posted opening hours. Two-three minutes late? I could handle. 45 min to an hour? Well, what time do you really open? Yes, you can email the owner and yes they'll give you a free wash (big deal, that's like $3) but does it make up for schlepping your stuff across town only to find the store closed? Again? This is by far the highest laundromat I've ever been to. I love the green cleaning machines. The cycles go so quickly that even though I came here to work, with the free WiFi and all, I didn't have any time to work! And on my second time here, I asked the worker about her suggestion and it turns out that the different washers (don't forget the bigger load washers in the back!) can carry different weights. That's why the scale is up by the cash register. So just ask for help and you'll be surprised! I never thought I could CRAM washers full until I came here. The place is nice and clean, with a pretty good restroom too. Great facility and customer service! Found out about this place through Groupon and they even have Belly here. Love the deals! read more

It's a laundromat. All you can hope is the equipment is clean, which it is. Can I say the same for the bathroom? No. It's always disgusting. I've only ever seen one employee spraying and cleaning the faces and tops of the machine and we come here at least twice a week. There are more "Out of Order" than usual as of late, but there's never really a time when they're so packed that we're out of options. Rewards system is cool. Got $3 one time when we really needed it, but more often than not, you have to stick your card in and out 3 or 4 times to get it to read so you can add money. All in all, we come back. The machines are high quality and employees are mostly pretty friendly. 4 stars are for the sub par bathroom. read more

This place is AWESOME. I haven't lived in this area for close to five years, and when I walked in the door, the employee there Maggie friggin recognized me from back then and asked me how I was doing etc. That's customer service. I am a hopeless procrastinator, (and the apartment I live in doesn't have on site washer and dryer access). So when the pile reaches waist high or so I bring ALL of my dirty laundry down here. Like 100lbs of laundry. I did the towels and sheets myself in like half an hour and I left all the rest. Came back at 9:30 the next morning and they were thoroughly washed, dried, organized by type, folded neatly, and labeled with my name and #. You can't put a price on that. Best, cheapest laundromat in town hands down. Because my TIME is very valuable to me and now I don't have to waste it doing laundry. Shout out to Maggie who works there! read more

I needed some clothes to be fluffed & folded so I took them here. Unfortunately, I got several of my articles of clothing back with stains set in. Super disappointing that some of my favorite T-shirts now have stains on them forever. Is it too high of an expectation for these types of places to return my items unstained? It looked a little sketchy on the outside but the machines inside are very high quality. The inside is also very clean. The machines come in 2 different sizes. I came here to wash a blanket my cat peed on and this place did the job! The washers and dryers are also very quick! I was done in an hour. They don't use coins. There is a machine where you get a laundry card and you fill that up. The customer service lady was also very sweet and helpful! This is my first laundry mat so it cost me $6 using the large machine and regular dryer. Not sure if that's expensive or not. Dryers are 33 cents per 8 mins and washers are charged depending on what size you use. read more

As a fairly introverted female there are few things that make me more uncomfortable and unsafe than an old man blatantly undressing me with his eyes before telling me to smile, and homeless men approaching me for money. Neither of these things happened at this place. That is literally a first. This is the first time I have ever gone to a laundromat without either of those things happening. So pretty much the most exspensive per load per dryer ratio in town. Then if your machine messes up its somehow your fault and getting a refund is next to near impossible. The gal workin night shift reminds me of my 3rd grade teacher Mrs Moore. She lead by fear and followed up with almost a look of disgust but not quite. I leave here feeling belittled and wondering why there isn't a bad ass laundry mat that's got a hot tub and serves drinks and appetizers. OMG the days of going to the bank to get cash, then changing it into quarters, and doing the whole laundromat song and dance are over! Come in here, get a loadable card, swipe your credit card to add credit, swipe your card at the machine, oh shit- you forgot detergent? You can buy a detergent pod (cash only I think) And the machines are fastttttt. I love doing as much as I can at once, so I use the huge machines and wash all my linens and towels. I've always had the luxury of having a washer and dryer in my apartment, so now that I don't, I wanted somewhere clean, affordable, and convenient to wash my clothes. They have great deals - $10 for $20 worth of washes, and you can just add money to your LaundryWorks card easily through the kiosk. I always trust leaving my laundry while I go run other errands - the staff is friendly and the place is not sketchy like you'd imagine a laundry shop to be. I definitely appreciate the number of washers & dryers - there are always enough available for everyone who comes in, and there is seating for you to wait for your clothing to be done, as well as tables for folding and carts to transport wet clothing to the dryers. I do wish there was a bit more seating - sometimes, during crowded hours, there is nowhere to chill while waiting, but that's a minor detail. It's also close to West Campus and North Campus. They also offer free wi-fi, which I have used easily every time I come in. I will say, the machines are a bit pricey, but to me it's worth. read more

Until now, I have never had any need or desire to post about a Laundromat. The Laundry Spot is the what a laundromat should be. The last time I was in a laundromat, they still had the coin slots and the ancient individual soap dispenser vending machines. Not here, they use state of the art Electrolux machines. The spin cycle is so strong, the clothes come out almost dry enough to wear, which is why it only takes 2- 8 minute cycles to dry them. The staff is exceptional. They walked me through the process (there is a trick to getting a good pre-wash) and greeted every customer like an old friend. It harkens back to the old days when neighborhoods were a community. You can drop off your clothes to be washed and folded as well. Exceptional place, exceptional staff. Hope to see them expand throughout Texas. read more

Best Landromat in town!!! I've always thought landromats were kinda seedy but this place definitely altered my perception. The place is spot free, all the machines are brand new and well maintained, and the customer service has always been great for me (Tony was great). I will never use the dirty machines in my apartment complex again. Even though I live 11 blocks away I see a lot of my neighbors at this place all the time. There are plenty of machines, I've never had to wait for one. The machines also come in a variety of sizes to fit the load you are working on. I've pit A LOT of clothes in the 3 load machines and they came out great (disclaimer* I do not advise overloading any machine). The dryers are quick, and while the wash can get pricey, the quick dryers make up for it. Say goodbye to hunting down quarters, this place takes card and cash. Loading "laundry cards" can be a bit clunky at first but whomever is working will get you started and you'll have it down after that. They have free wifi while you wait and there are olenty of food options all around if you want to grab a bite to eat while you wait for your wash. Also, having a convenience store next door is pretty convenient. They also offer affordable options for people who just want to drop their clothes off with them and have them wash and fold it. read more

I love this place. It has modern, clean, commercial grade Electrolux machines and is always clean and serene. Before I get to all the other wonderful reasons this place is awesome, I'll start with this: Machine quality really does make a difference in making your clothes and bedding look gorgeous and extends their life. Due to top of the line equipment, when I do laundry here, my clothes come out clean, unwrinkled, and lint free. Truly luxurious. What really sets LaundryWorks apart from the rest is its super helpful and friendly staff. If it's your first time, they'll walk you through getting a card, explain the different machines, and show you where to put your detergent, fabric softener, etc. Everyone I've met there has been delightfully polite and helpful. They have an electronic kiosk where you can easily reload your card using cash or a debit or credit card. It's always cool and there are fans going. (I do wish they'd turn down the AC a few more degrees, as doing laundry can be a sweaty task, but there are so many other things I like about this place, I'm not going to gripe.) Machines and facility alike are very well maintained and clean. There are plenty of rolling carts and clean folding tables, and plenty of seating, with a counter and stools facing out the window, and free WiFi so you can study, entertain yourself with your device of choice, or just watch the goings on outside. It's conveniently located close to Buffalo Exchange, CVS, Wheatsville Co-Op, Malvern Books, and tons of casual eating spots, so you ambitious folks can kill two birds with one stone! LaundryWorks partners with Belly, a local rewards app you can load on your smart phone, so you can rack up points each time you go. In just three visits I earned a free double load wash and two 16-minute drying sessions. Oh - that reminds me - their dryers are truly turbo charged! Drying time on medium heat for two bath mats and four towels was only about 25 minutes. And most regular loads dry in 16 minutes or less! So efficient! Although I haven't used them, I noticed that LaundryWorks also offers wash and fold services, and they'll even deliver your clean laundry to you by bicycle cart! I've just gotten back from Laundry Works and I can't be happier with my experience. No quarters needed! They have a machine that takes cards and cash and gives you a card to use on washers and dryers alike. In addition to staff present, they have security cameras and free wi-fi. The facility is very clean, the machines are brand-new and hi-tech, energy efficient, and water-saving. The expense is comparable with other nearby facilities. They have a scale, which will help you decide which machines to use. Washing and drying your clothes should take about an hour, probably less. I was greeted at the door by one of the owners who explained the new machinery, which is simple, but not intuitive to use. Next time I'm sure I'll be able to get through the process on my own without any direction, although I'm confident that someone will be there to help if I can't. The dryers, if not unloaded, will periodically spin, keeping your clothes from getting wrinkled. As I left, I was wished a good-night by name by the other owner. Go there! Keep it open! read more

This place is sweet. I can't say that it's the cheapest laundry spot around town, but the machines are new and fast, especially the dryers. You have to drop $1 for a card that you then load up with $$. The machine takes credit cards which makes it more convenient not to have to scramble for cash or deal with coins. I keep my card in my wallet and it broke along the magnetic strip so the machines would no longer read it. I explained what happened to the guy working and asked if I could get a new card and transfer the amount. He was real cool about it and once I got the new card, it was smooth sailing. Never had an issue with anyone trying to steal stuff while washing, but I usually hang around while doing my wash anyway. I was unfamiliar with their brand of machines, but the woman on duty was able to give me pointers to get me on track.
