It is so HOT in here if you attend an event other than a game. Zero air circulation on a 85° day and thousands of people.

If you park on campus, be prepared to wait in the lots as long as you were in the events center. Nightmare.

Awful parking. Long lines for tickets. No atmosphere unless the place is sold out. Poor food choices at concession stands.

Staff was helpful and kind, despite the chaotic environment. We arrived at 8pm (doors were at 5:30 and John Summit's set started at 9pm) so there were zero lines to get in. My purse was slightly larger than the guidelines but they didn't care, they just did a quick search. Some cons: It was a packed show so lines for the restroom and drinks were extremely long. The restrooms were pretty gross and there was no toilet paper in most stalls. It took forever to get drinks so we got two to bring down into the pit, but they have to open them when they sell them, which meant it was tough to carry through the crowd and I ended up with High Noon all over my jacket lol. We were on field-level so thankfully we didn't deal wit this directly but the bleachers sections looks SCARY, people were standing on the bleachers themselves (the metal) instead of the concrete floor and we saw someone literally fall off the bleacher. Some pros: They had a beer guy walking through the pit between sets so that was kinda nice! I wish I had skipped the line on the concourse and just bought from him lol. Sound quality and production was amazing. I was expecting a bad crowd for a John Summit show on a college campus but our area (center, just in front of the sound booth) was very PLUR and mostly older 20s attendees around our age. Egress was a little tricky coming off the field, but once you were in the stands it was easy going and quick to exit.

My biggest gripe with shows here is the parking, it's very expensive ($40) and not exactly convenient or close to the stadium. Last show, we opted for the flat iron club tickets and it was worth the extra few bucks. The bathrooms were very close by, the chairs had backs, and it wasn't cramped packed. I would def return for future concerts here!

The education is what you want make of it and the amount of energy you want to put in. The old "party school" designation, never applied to all the students, just those who were self designed to participate. They have so many honored nationally recognized programs, it would be nice for all students to take advantage . There are museums on campus and overall ,a pretty university space. Any season of the year, the landscaping is lush, even in a snowy year, the crispness is nice. But spring and fall are the colorful times.

I called ahead to the Veterans Center, and the gentleman I spoke with informed me that they do not offer tours. I found this ironic because the community college I currently attend, as well as several other universities I plan to apply to, have all had veterans centers that were significantly more helpful than CU's. UCLA, for instance, arranged a full campus tour led by a fellow veteran student. After the tour, I had a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the head of the UCLA Veterans Success Center. In contrast, CU's Veterans Center simply told me, "We don't do tours. You can go online and look at our checklist for more information." Based on this experience, I am unlikely to apply to CU. First impressions are everything, and I do not want to be part of an environment that lacks meaningful support for veterans. CU has a lot of room for improvement.

I have heard these guys have ripped off a lot of artists. It's a sham to call yourself an art gallery, these guys are rip off artists. This is not something that happens by mistake. A print shop KNOWS whether they have an artists consent (and contract) to reproduce their work. Poster Scene can pretend to be about art but what they are really about is stealing from the artists who are trying to make a humble living for themselves. Reproducing an image that an artist has created and may be doing a limited run of not only devalues the artists work, but it takes important buyers away from the creator who really depends on making every dollar they possibly can for their creations. Sadly a lot of people have messaged me to let me know they bought "my poster." These people are fans of MY work and thinking they are doing something to support and appreciate me, when the unfortunate truth is they are contributing to shady lowlifes who have no respect for what goes into making a living in the arts. I don't fault anyone who goes and buys a piece of illegally reproduced art but if you are a fan of art- the safe bet is always to buy DIRECTLY from the creator (artist or band) that you want to support. Lotsa fake middlemen out there!

The also have an annex for maker space and events a few doors further west. Today they had a fundraiser and art display in honor and celebration of International Women's Day. When I saw the announcement that the Handweaver's Guild of Boulder would be in the Annex demonstrating the weaving process and set up for patrons of all ages but especially children to try it out, I knew I had to go. In my younger years, I had been a member of this Guild and had done a demonstration with a group of weavers at the Denver Stock Show in 1975. I was hoping to hear what the Guild is doing now and hopefully run into someone from that era that is still active. And indeed I did. It's amazing work they do and the Gallery in the main building displays weaving as well as so many other arts. Paintings, drawings, jewelry, pottery, fabric designs, handmade cards, all sorts of art objects are to be seen and purchased . It's a very nice space and was very well attended on this holiday on a beautiful spring day. But nice stop in to the gallery anytime and look into the programs they run in the Annex. It's easy to find and there is street parking in the area and a bus stop 2 blocks away. And eateries in the area too.
