They are a small store and if you're looking for wine or spirits, they have a pretty standard selection. However, if you're looking for specialty beer, this is your place. They have so many rare or more difficult to find beers and really focus on local and craft brews. We always find something we've never seen before when we come here. Staff are also very friendly and helpful if you're looking for something specific.

Went with the following: Brooklyn Brewery Monster Ale (first time I have seen this anywhere, and it will be my first to sample), Lagunitas Sucks Brown Shugga Substitute Ale (also first time seeing this anywhere), Left Hand Sawtooth Ale, Great Divide Denver Pale Ale, Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale, and Big Sky IPA. The beer selection is pretty good, including things such as hard cider. They also stock items for Asian cooking that you can't find at most Minnesota liquor stores, such as mirin (Japanese cooking wine) and authentic umeshu (100% plum wine). The owners are very friendly as well, often reminding customers that they have a 10% discount on Tuesdays. So far this is the only place in the Twin Cities I've found that stocks real mirin (United Noodles stocks no alcoholic ingredients, and a certain reputable wine/liquor store in Nordeast had no idea what I was talking about), so I will continue to patronize this shop after I leave the area.

Well I had a special dinner to prepare and wanted to make sure I went somewhere that would have the cut of meat I needed. It was very easy to access and parking was no issue as they have a parking lot. I walked in and was greeted and 2 gentleman helped me as I was going to order 4 pounds of brisket and then after telling them what I wanted to do they recommended a chuck roast and that was exactly correct! I definitely mixed up the meat I needed to get but they helped. The prices were fantastic and they had such an assortment of meats to get their selection looked great! You definitely aren't going to find any specialized liquor in here, nor any super high end stuff. But they have a really good selection, and let you create your own six-packs of beer which is nice, because who amongst us hasn't thought it would be sweet to have more than one flavor of beer when you get home without having 24 bottles to find a place for?
