(Maybe eight feet wide and twenty feet deep?) I don't know much about wine, since I get sick when I drink reds due to the sulfate, but I dropped by looking for a nice bottle of white to go with some shrimp pasta my girlfriend and I cooked up. The only person working there immediately greeted me, asked about my preferences, and recommended his three favorites bottles. I went with the one made by Ippolito 1845. No pretentiousness. No eye-rolling. Just very friendly and helpful. Not to mention, the price was reasonable. (Maybe around $20?) Other cool tidbits: -Wines are organized by country. -They carry local brands like Famiglia Meschini. -Has a surprisingly solid beer selection. It's one of those places you could miss by blinking, probably on your way to Mufaletta. As a new 21-year-old I didn't have any expectations for what a wine shop should be - but I feel that I have been spoiled very early on in my 'of-age' life. As mentioned by Mark, the owner Jeff is a database of knowledge and is completely approachable. Rarely (in my experience) will you be in there with another customer, so you are free to ask as many questions and receive as much attention as you want. I spent this summer living on an organic vegetable farm where we drank 'La Vieille Ferme'. Coming back to the Cities, I thought the stuff would be hard to come by. But sure enough, The Little Wine Shoppe, in all it's quaintness - had it. Simplicity is the reason why I love it so much. A small space, simple selection, charming neighborhood, a knowledgeable owner. What more does a wine store need? Also, make sure not to miss the great bookstore next door (Micawbers.)

I expressed that I forgot it in my car to which she responded loudly and rudely "SO??" Then a male worker (who had his mask below his nose and mouth) said can can we give you one? I said yes and put it on. I went to checkout with my purchase and my toddler had pulled my mask down. At this point the man still had his mask below his nose and both the female and male employee continued verbally accosting me. This MGM just opened earlier this year and it is tough to see Dakota Liqours have to try and compete against this larger store. I really wanted a couple of bottles of wine with dinner and I couldn't find anything at Dakota other than your standard Gallos and Woodbridge brands. Once I was inside they had a huge selection of wine and beer as one would expect them to have. If I need the run of the mill stuff I will still try and go to Dakota, however for wine I will have to make the switch to MGM.
