With all of these glowing reviews, I'm not sure how I ended up with such poor service but I did. An older gentleman greeted me as I arrived and seemed friendly. Some young guy came bounding around the corner, eager to find what I was after and finish the sale, before I'd really even begun to look around. I chose one that he hastily recommended and gladly did them the favor of checking out and leaving a few bucks. On the awkward walk out, I paused and looked at several other options that I'd have been happy to buy had I not felt so rushed by this guy. Maybe I caught him in the middle of something but I'd suggest they consider not forcing such a sale. I have bought many Cuban cigars over the last 30 years and I have been to the Cuban Cigar Shop on a few occasions. I live in the U.S. and do not want to make the trip of over 5 hours to buy some cigars so I ordered online. The Credit Card process was a big pain ( not the stores fault) but they stuck with it and after a couple of days they managed to process my order and ship it out. What a great experience. Prices are a bit high, but no fault to the owners. Unfortunately the taxes in Canada are what they are. But the owner and son were extremely helpful and took a great amount of care and time packaging my cigars to ensure they made it home with me safely, and in perfect condition. This store is amazing. Just about every brand and size of Cubans. The store is just off the downtown main drag but there is plenty of street parking to walk right in. The owner is passionate about cigars and took his time inspecting each one I purchased to insure the highest quality. He even ships. This is a must stop store if you want to get a handful of Cubans or just browse. Cigars are pricey but that may be the going rate and it's a lot easier to do a one stop shop than compare shops and prices to save a buck or two. read more

Aemon is a wonderful person and his shop is exquisite! I was on a cruise ship from the US that was coming thru and I called him ahead of time with what I wanted and told him when I would be there. He was willing to stay open late and wait for me. Everything was in order when I arrived (5 boxes of Cubans) and Aemon is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. This is surely not the place to visit on a budget BUT if you are looking for genuine Cubans that have been cared for properly Aemon is the man! Canadian taxes make US cigar shop prices look like a bargain but if price isn't your primary concern and you want genuine HABANOS this IS your place! I'm happy to meet Aemon, and his son, and make a life long friend! Everything was packed beautifully and paired with Boveda for the ride home! Best Cigar Shop in Victoria! Stopped by to pick up some Cuban cigars. The staff were very knowable, helpful, and friendly. They took there time explaining the differences in the cigars. They didn't rush me and allowed me to browse with no presser. I picked out several different brands. They put them in a bag with a little package that keeps cigars fresh for up to 3 months. I asked about if they had any empty boxes and they gave me one for free. They are a little bit away from the heart of downtown but worth it. read more

I could not be more pleased with my purchase! It was my first purchase from the Cuban Cigar Shop and I ordered on line. My Cohiba arrived in perfect condition. I mentioned in my ordering comments that the cigar was a gift and they included a lovely gift box as well. I did some research on buying Cubans in Victoria & three recommendations came up near where we were staying. I went to one (Old Morris) to compare prices & selection before going to Cuban Cigar Shop, and then after visiting Aman I didn't bother going to Goodfellas (which also looks good from what I could see/read online). Cuban Cigar Shop's selection is excellent, and their prices at least $10 CAD cheaper than other places I had researched. Aman had a wide variety of Cuban brands and multiple blends/sizes of each. It's a bit off the beaten path/downtown, but worth the extra few blocks for the options & to save some money. I walked away with eight Montecristo No. 2's, four Sancho Panzo, four Hoya de Monterrey, and five Partagas. Aman was kind enough to include some humidor packs since I was going to continue to be traveling to help preserve the cigars. For the price, selection, customer service & experience, it doesn't get better in Victoria than Cuban Cigar Shop. Highly recommend, and plan to order from them online. read more
