My wife dropped off her 2023 CR-V for what she believed to be a routine 30,000 service appointment (Oil Change...) She was told she needed a recommended Transmission Oil change which she agreed to. I called the Service Manager (Kalif Fazil) who confirmed that this was a Honda Recommendation. Since the Honda Owners Manual does not list a Maintenance Schedule I had to trust the Service manager but decided to "Trust and Verify". I called a Honda Dealer in McAllen and another in Brownsville inquiring on routine service maintenance for a 2023 CR-V with 30,000 miles and neither mentioned a "recommended transmission oil change". I also called the 800 Honda number and was told the same thing. They also referred me to MyGarage.Honda.Com and discovered that: "Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds results in higher transmission temperatures. This requires transmission fluid changes more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder. If you regularly drive your vehicle under these conditions, have the transmission fluid changed every 25,000 miles (40,000 km)." (Our elevation is 38 feet above sea level and the furthest she drives is Houston at feet)

I recently bought a truck at this dealership. They advertise one price then at financing come out…read morewith an additional $2000 for some protection plan which is total BS. The manager says he has no choice but to include it. I negotiate it down to $900 and then when I actually try and use the protection plan they literally do nothing to the truck. They covered up some scratches on the paint but at the first carwash the scratches come right back out. The plans they sell are garbage and they know it. I do not recommend this dealership at all!
