I recently bought a truck at this dealership. They advertise one price then at financing come out with an additional $2000 for some protection plan which is total BS. The manager says he has no choice but to include it. I negotiate it down to $900 and then when I actually try and use the protection plan they literally do nothing to the truck. They covered up some scratches on the paint but at the first carwash the scratches come right back out. The plans they sell are garbage and they know it. Service is not the same ever since Sames Ford took over. Service lane keeps you waiting even after your schedule appointment. If you ask them to check anything else theyll say yes and when you pick it up they say, 'ohh yes, theres something wrong but do not call you if you wanted repair after it was already there for three days for one screw and you need to set up another appointment. Review is for SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Bought the truck here, that experience was fine. Took truck in to service department for recall issue, and there met with some really poor customer service. Long story short, truck was in their shop for a total of two weeks, over three separate drop-offs FOR SAME ISSUE, to address updates, and then to address the non-functioning cruise control (worked before I brought it in, but not when they returned it to me first time...) Crew didn't seem to know how to fix electronic issues. I was told they were in contact with Ford (via EMAIL!!!) to figure out what was wrong. The real customer service letdown was dealing with service advisor (Eloy Longoria) who never answers the phone number on his card, has no voicemail, and kept saying he'd give me updates, but didn't. I would have to call front desk, sit on hold while someone tracked him down, and get a secondhand message from him. Good communication with the client is customer service 101, bro! read more

Horrible customer service. I setup an appointment with Amy to place an order for a 2021 King Ranch F150 truck. I drove from McAllen, to Harlingen. First problem- The guy that sends in truck order was not scheduled to come in on the day. Why the heck did you schedule men that day! Gino, sales man was polite, cool guy. Very helpful, but he said he couldn't get me a price on the truck until after I ordered. I told them I needed to work out the cost of the truck before placing an order. Sales manager comes in and says they could take my order, and I would have to commit to that order, but I wouldn't know what the price would be until it arrived. I clarified that I knew that we wouldn't know Ford incentives, but we could see how much it would be, not including incentives. Sales manager: "That's not how we do things. There is no way to know what that truck will cost. We can look at the price once it comes in". So I'm supposed to commit to buying a vehicle without knowing what the price it? I told them I couldn't order blindly and the sales a manger could care less. Congrats on losing a sale. All you had to do was press a few buttons in the computer, and I would have given you a raving review. Instead, you wasted your time and mine. People, run away from this dealer. Lies and I'm sure they would have robbed me blind once the truck arrived. I ended up ordering a fully loaded King Ranch for an amazing price from Holiday Ford in Whitesboro Texas. We called with a problem with our diesel truck on Tuesday, was told to bring it in on Thursday, at 8am, which we did. We knew the problem and explained this to them, heard nothing all day, called 2 pm on Friday, got no answers, so asked if will have answers on Monday, "maybe " So we are already 5 days with NO car, stated they had no loaner cars available!!! Even though our job would be over 2,000 bucks. So Nothing on Monday!!! Called Tuesday to talk to the guy who checked it in, he said he would have to check and call me back!! Crickets, nothing!!!! Called to talked to service manager, unavailable??? Called and left message x2, finally late in the afternoon service manager called back, wanted to know what the problem was----- we'll take a truck in on Thursday and hear nothing and it's TUESDAY!!! He said they hadn't even started on it, and it would be at least 2 if not 3 weeks before they could work on it, we were supposed to be happy? So we decided to come and get the truck and take it somewhere they could work on it in a timely manner!! They were supposed to send a car to pick us up to get it,,, again nothing!!! There was never no mention that it would just sit on the lot and have nothing done to it for WEEKS!!!! I'm at the Boggus Ford QuickLane here in Harlingen. I thought I would make this my regular service spot for oil change and tire rotation, but it's anything but quick. We've been here for four hours (8 cars ahead of us) and our car is still not ready! Our car has been on the lift for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Eight cars, 4 hours....must only have one service tech. I mean we're talking oil change and tire rotation. This isn't rocket science. There's three people behind the service counter doing largely nothing and apparently next to nobody changing oil. I'm very disappointed. I'll have to find another service facility. read more

I drive to this location from McAllen to get my work done because, usually, the techs are very delicate. This wasn't the case this time around. I brought my 2019 Mustang in for an alignment. Usually they are very delicate with my $4K set of wheels. This time, they chipped the paint on my wheel lip, and scuffed all of my sill plate. They took pictures as well as I did and they said a manager would be in touch with me, the wheel fix was addressed but the manager said they couldn't do anything about my sill plate. My car has less than 6k miles, and has scuffs on the sill plate that make it look like it has 100k miles. Never coming back to Harlingen location again!!!! read more

As a full timer (RV) I depend on Ford Dealers across the country for servicing my F-250. After a oil change, topping up of other fluids. The service advisor told me that everything looked good. Batteries were good and everything else was within limits. It took about a hour and a half and was happy with the results. Got into the truck the next morning and the batteries wouldn't start the truck. I thought I left something on. While charging the batteries, I checked some of the fluid levels to find power steering was below the dip stick level. Cold level is about a 1/4 above the bottom of the dip stick. All others were within limits. The batteries turned out to be weak and didn't have proper amps to start the truck, something I would have thought This Ford Dealer would have caught. read more

So disappointing. We made 3 trips to buy the same vehicle. We went back because we were promised the deal we had talked about. They might as well laughed in our face. The 3rd time we went in they actually went up a 1000 on our original deal. We were shocked. Hey you live and learn. There tag line should be its Bogus at Bogus. ps. They caused an issue on my car that they cannot fix. It's been two months and there is no resolution in sight. They refuse to swap me out even though they caused the issue. They said the only people that can would be Ford Credit and Ford Credit refuses to buy back my car. Now I am stuck paying for a car that I cannot drive. I feel completely helpless with my problem and I don't understand how a Ford Dealership will not take ownership of their screwup and make things right. In December 2018, I began searching for a car for my 18 year-old son. I saved up $10,000 to buy a used car. I didn't want to go to those roadside car lots because I was afraid of being scammed. I have never been a fan of Ford but I thought I would give them a chance. The salesman showed me a 2014 Focus. The price including TT&L was $10,000. I thought maybe it was meant to be. It was later in the evening when I purchased the car. After getting it home, I noticed it had 4 bald tires. That was clue #1. I took it back and they did replace the tires, no charge. Flash forward 4 months and about 700 driving miles, my son takes the car for an oil change to an outside business. The air filter was dirty and had to be replaced. No big deal, but that was clue #2 that the car had not even had routine maintenance before it was put on the lot for resale. A couple days later, I took a ride with my son and noticed the car was lurching pretty badly when it was shifting. My son is young & doesn't know much about cars, and I am a woman who admittedly doesn't know much about them either. But I knew something was definitely wrong with that lurch. I took the car in and was told the clutch was bad, and since the car was no longer under warranty, would cost $1,400 to repair. Only 4 months after purchase, are you kidding me?! At that time I did what I should have done in the 1st place, and searched the net for problems with 2014 Focus. I was inundated with page after page of complaints about the clutch and transmission on that model. I brought that up to the people at Boggus and they told me the car had no problems with the previous owner. I verbalized my frustration with Boggus and told them I could not afford to be forking out $1,400 periodically for a faulty, mechanically flawed car. I asked to sell it back to them. They happily agreed to sell it back to me for about $3,000, 1/3 of what I paid for it 4 months earlier, because after all, now the car needs repair and is worth $1,400 less. Or they offered to put me in another car that they could set up reasonable payments for. REALLY??!! I paid cash for the car because I didn't want payments. Next they said they might be willing to pay half of the repair cost. Seriously??!! I called the Ford corporate office to complain and was told they were not going to do anything more to make the situation right. Next I received a call from Boggus telling me they had good news!!! The part that had been replaced with the previous owner was still under warranty as long as the car was repaired by the same people who worked on the car before. Neither they nor I would have to foot the bill for the repair. Now the story before was that the car had no problems or repairs with the previous owner. All of a sudden they disclose that the car did in fact have issues before. They called me that the car was repaired and back at the dealership. I decided I didn't want to keep an unreliable money pit of a car and told them I wanted to sell it back. $5,000 is what the manager offered, half what I paid for it 4 months earlier. The salesman said he could get me into a new Fiesta for $17,000 with low payments. How nice of him. You can't make this stuff up. Long story short, I got scammed. Now I have to save up another $5,000 to try to get my son a decent car to drive to school and work. I basically paid $5,000 to drive a car for 4 months and 700 miles. What they did is so wrong. Boggus doesn't care about its customers. They are driven by greed. Don't believe the sign on their door posting hours of operation that reads: SUNDAY- AT CHURCH. I don't think so. Heed the warning, let the buyer beware. Think twice before you go to this dealership. I would give it zero stars if I could. read more
