This was my second time here and I am glad that I came again! For this visit I chose to have…read morebreakfast as a friend had recommended it. I had the barbacoa platter and it was very tasty. The beef was well seasoned and the potatoes and beans were hot and tasty. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were a bit more done than I would have liked, but this was a very minor issue. The flour tortillas that came with the meal were warm and tender with just the right amount of char. The potatoes were cooked just right, slightly crisp on the outside and tender and warm on the inside. The portion sizes were all very good. Enough to fill me up without feeling bloated. And finally, the coffee was outstanding. Rich and flavorful without a hint of bitterness. The service was excellent! I was waited on by two different waitresses and both were friendly and polite. I chose to eat outside, and was a little nervous that I'd be forgotten as I was the only one doing so, but they were attentive to my needs and did a nice job of checking up on me. The patio area was very clean and it was a nice alternative to have available. There were a few flies joining me, but this is Texas in the spring so that was to be expected! Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be back to try some more selections off the menu. Highly recommended!

The building is a regular looking house and has a drive through. You can eat inside, but we just wanted to take it home. The lady at the window was very friendly and they even got my order correct. NO CILANTRO ha ha. I had the loco box which was 1 open Birria taco, 2 rolled Birria tacos and 2 closed birria tacos. It came with hot sauces and onions, cilantro, limes, and consommé. The open and closed tacos were on corn tortillas and the rolled were flour. Every single one was amazing. The meat had an awesome flavor and the consommé was wonderful as well. My mood was instantly lifted and I sat down at a booth near the window. Place was clean. Service was excellent, with no long wait times. The friendly waiter was attentive and gladly shared his personal recommendations. I was impressed with the entire menu. Not only do they offer classic Mexican dishes, but they have come up with many of their own culinary masterpieces. It was hard to choose, but I finally went with the Taco Salad. Fresh, flavorful, well-presented cuisine with generous portions to boot! They have perfected their house-made chips and salsa. I ordered a slice of cake to go. It was so good that it disappeared before I could take a photo. I only get to visit this town once a year, but I'm gonna make it a point to dine here when I do.
