I came here for a quick dinner and was not disappointed. There was a bit of a wait after I was seated, but I was served the requisite chips and salsa and was given plenty of time to look at the menu. I ordered the Chile rellenos with chopped chicken, and it was excellent. The rice was also very well prepared with just the right amount of spice. The dish came with flour tortillas and they were some of the best I've had in a long time. The waitress was nice enough to bring me more when I asked, and they really were some of the best I've had. The service was very good and I even got a 10 percent discount for checking in on Yelp. The menu was very extensive and I'm looking forward to going back to try some of their other dishes. read more

The refried beans taste canned. The bartender makes my gin and tonic with mineral water and tells me that how they make a gin and tonic. The fajita meat was dry to the point of being jerky. The wait staff is inexperienced and does an extremely poor job of performing there duties. Paid a $22 tab with a twenty and a ten dollar bill. The waitress just assumed the $8 was her tip , never returned to the table to check, just kept the money. In town for business and came in on a Tue evening for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised to see it busy--must mean it's good! Sat in the bar area and Jocelyn took good care of me. The chips and salsa was very tasty. Dinner was tasty--Chile Vallarta Seafood. Chose the charro beans over refried and they were tasty. The margaritas (regular, rocks) were pretty weak--I normally cannot handle more than one, but after two, I feel fine--they were OK. Corn tortillas were average. Overall, everything was very tasty. This is one of those times when the dining experience was excellent. My server was Leo. Hungry for some fresh tacos, I decided to try the Tacos el Guero. They are two thin white corn tortillas doubled filled with your choice of chicken or beef fajitas and grilled onions and white cheese, served open style (you can fold), with a side of sliced avocado, tomato and lettuce and a side of charro beans, 3 per order. March 16, 2021 @ 11:20am THE MANAGER DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ME DUE TO MY DISABILITY! I am sitting here at the restaurant now. When I walked in the door I was greeted by the hostess. She was friendly and told me I could sit anywhere. I went in the dining area and sat down. There were only two other people in here because it only opened 15 minutes ago. Then the manager came up to me and saw my service dog (who was wearing his vest). He asked if that was a service dog. I said yes. Then he asked me to move to the bar area where no one else was (not even a bartender this early in the morning). He said those were the rules because of my service animal. I was totally embarrassed. Everyone heard him. I asked to speak to the manager. That's when he told me he WAS the manager. He proceeded to cause a scene in the restaurant and kept telling me to move. I shouldn't be discriminated against like that. I showed him my ADA card I keep on me to inform him that he's not legally allowed to ask me to move and sit in a section all by myself. That's discrimination. He wouldn't listen. He said I could sit here ONCE but next time I will have to sit in the separate area. My family has been to this restaurant numerous times, and never had a service failure nor has the food tasted anything less than spectacular. The minute we walk in the door we are greeted, and seated. I have three small children, and the manager as well as the wait staff are accommodating and have always been extremely nice. We receive our food in a timely manner every time, and even with the short wait, they keep your drinks and chips filled. This is my favorite Mexican food place in town. They have the best street tacos, but they are called Tacos el Guerpo (I know that is not how you spell it, but they are the only ones that start with G). Cheese is good and they are family friendly. We stopped by here about 5:00pm on a Sat evening. It was not crowded yet. We were seated immediately, drink order taken. Drinks arrived promptly and chips and salsa and queso shortly after that. Salsa (mild) was warm which was different and the queso tasted homemade not out of a can. The chips were better than average, just the right amount of salty and very crispy. My husband had the seafood enchiladas and said they were outstanding commenting particularly on the generous amount of filling. I had the taco and tostada combo desiring to stay away from wheat tortillas. The waitress even double checked for me to make sure the items were both made with corn tortillas. The tostada was a little soggy, the taco was crispy. I was pleasantly surprised at how non-greasy the ground beef was in both entrees. Flavor was average. The size of the servings was very generous and a good value for the price Wait staff were friendly and checked back with us often to make sure we didn't anything. It appeared from the new sign outside, that this might be a new restaurant or under new management. They are doing a good job and should do well. The food is alright, but has gone down since opening. I don't always feel like the food is fresh. Sometimes the Guac has turned a little brown. They are usually fast and their waitstaff is attentive. The food here is really good!!! They bring complimentary chips, salsa which is pretty standard but whats nice is they also bring queso dip as well. I had a chimichanga and my girlfriend had the floutas. The burrito was good but was too big to finish for me. My girlfriend said thw fliutas were a bit under seasoned but tasted fine as well. The only complaint i have is the margarita i ordered was terrible. It was warm and didnt taste good at all. Green salsa was great! Ordered the mixed fajitas with jalapeños and not disappointed. Tortillas were not homemade but the beans and rice were good. We stopped here for dinner around 5:00 after reading a few good Yelp reviews. They were right on! The waitstaff was very pleasant and prompt. The queso, chips and warm salsa were very tasty. We ordered the crispy beef tacos, which were accompanied by a generous portion of rice and beans. We also had the ceviche tostadas which were amazing and fresh with just the right amount of lime juice! We will definitely make this a regular stop along Hwy 59 South!
