I sent the new declaration page in, and was notified that it was received and policy was canceled. While waiting for any money due to me, they take another FULL PREMIUM from my bank account on the 31st - a week after my account was canceled. I call the Amherst office where my account originated, and of course Peggy is not there, the woman who canceled my policy is "not available" and the one who I am speaking with on the phone just wants me to "not yell at her". She can't tell me WHY a premium was taken a full week after the account was canceled, but rest assured that we will send a refund "by MAIL". I did not have that option when I opened the account - they want payment the SAME day. Then she tries to blame me, saying I had to notify my bank to turn auto pay off. I told her she was wrong - when I canceled my Progressive auto policy, they refunded my bank account immediately and never told me to "call my bank". That's ridiculous. All I have gotten are lame excuses from them. Maybe instead of paying Patrick Mahomes for appearing in all their ads during football season, they should put that money toward extended training for their office workers. I had State Farm insurance about forty years ago, and they screwed me back then. I swore I'd never use them again, but I did, and this is what I get. They are terrible. They were back then, and they still are. Customer means nothing.

I never had my homeowners taken out of my escrow, but I thought she new what she was doing. A month later I get a letter from the bank saying I don't have coverage. Called Kim I'll send another memo. One month later the same thing. A month later same thing, but this time the bank said they woul give their insurance. I called the bank and the found the memo. Now this went on since September 24. All this time I thought my insurance was being paid, but last week she hits me up for 500 bucks. I don't think I should own this. Her assistant Tristan told me we would start the policy over in January. Don't deal with these people.

Our most recent experience with her, I called to confirm that our letters of discontinuation of coverage with them had been received, she told me they had and all was taken care of and no monies would be pulled from our bank account and the home owners wouldn't be collected for from our mortgage company. One week later, we received a letter in the mail from our mortgage company stating that we had "2" policies with "2" companies, they paid for both out of our escrow account and would be changing our mortgage payment to reflect the shortage! I then checked our bank account only to find out that they had also pulled the auto insurance payment and all because of her lies and incompetence! This just being the icing on the cake after other instances of incompetencey and lies from this agents office! We carried insurance with Farmers through this agent for 11 years and only ever had 1 claim that was a not at fault that Farmers only paid 20% of the claim, no moving violations ever and all that was ever done is our rates increased dramatically over the years. Our auto rates have doubled in that time as well as the home owners and considering that our new insurance company and agent is charging about 1/2 of what Richard Beck is charging for the exact same coverage for auto and approximately 25% less on the home owners we are left believing that we were being taken advantage of and the agent was just lining his pockets! I ended up calling Farmers directly and taking care of the problem so I'm not sure why we were ever paying an agent to begin with!
