I put an item back after looking at it and it fell off the stand. This wasn't something that could break easily but it slid off the small stand it was sitting on. The lady said this place isn't for profit and if you break an item you buy it. Then she kept going as if it wasn't an accident and stated "that's why we have don't touch signs in the store". Umm where? There were no signs. We picked up an item because we were interested in buying it. Mind you, this item was a $600 copper mold which we WERE intended on buying! We left immediately after this which was extremely disappointing. I wish I got her name but her customer service was horrible. She should not be working in customer service. Afterwards my blood was boiling from our experience that I wanted to come back later after more shopping to quote the movie Pretty Women "big mistake, big, huge!" Early today we were at their sister store in St. Helena and the experience was completely different, they were extremely helpful and very friendly. Don't shop at CIA at Copia, make the little extra journey and shop the one at St. Helena.

Highly personal, engaging and interactive experience. We made pasta, fish and dessert. Along the way, we asked numerous questions, about everything from terminology to sodium in salt to types of Olive oil and how to properly dice. Julie is an expert and happily shared her knowledge. All of the ingredients were high quality, including the salt and balsamic vinegar, and the fish and the pasta. Each dish was paired with a bottle of wine, and Julie even had a snack for us to enjoy while we cooked. Julie's house is lovely. We dined al fresco on her patio underneath the large oak trees. We were scheduled for 4 hours but Julie took her time with us. We ended up being there for 5 and a half hours. It was a lovely experience and one that we would highly recommend.

We learned to cook with the Thermomix while working in teams at different stations, preparing dishes from around the world. It was hands-on, interactive, and a lot of fun - every dish turned out delicious. Miggi is a fantastic teacher: clear, detailed, confident, and incredibly knowledgeable. She explains techniques in a way that's easy to understand, and we all walked away genuinely better cooks. We also paired the experience with wine tasting and learned how to taste and appreciate wine properly, which made the evening even more memorable. On top of that, Miggi's fun, warm personality really brings the whole experience together. My office team loved it and is still talking about it.
