Whoa, this was hands down amazing. Mashav was the chef at the Good People dinner on October 15th. I came unsure of what to expect outside of some awkward networking (I'm not a stronger networker) but left with a stomach full of delicious food and heart filled with good conversation. The night started off with Red Snapper sashimi with a mandarin jelly, pomegranate syrup & quinoa flakes lightly placed in the spoon. There was also a roasted beat with balsamic and mozzarella cheese. The last appetizer was a cream of chestnut and parsnips with a Fuji apple. I genuinely can't even say which one was my favorite because they were all so good. I lean towards the last because it was so unique and I'm not sure I'll ever have that combination again. The main course was served family style and included: beef tenderloin with blue cheese shallots, honey thyme roasted carrots, fennel & herb couscous salad with yogurt, tahini lime sauce and orange segments, and a horseradish potato + celeriac purée. Let's just say that I busted my diet to shizzzzzz eating all of this glorious food. Last up came dessert. I'm so sad I ate so much because I definitely wanted more of the Persimmon pudding (more like a pie) with salted caramel and roasted walnuts. I don't have many pictures as the point of the dinner is to talk with people but I did snap one of the menu and a little of my food. If I could afford to hire her, I absolutely would. She's professional and the food was just fantastic!

Mashav is fantastic! We took a 6-person food tour around Richmond, and had a blast. It's a great group activity, and Mashav took us to TEN SPOTS where we had samples of delicious food. Mashav is very knowledgeable in everything that has to do with the food scene in Richmond, and her taste is impeccable. Meshav, thank you for a great morning in San Francisco!

We had an amazing birthday dinner event with Mashav and Le Couloir. We celebrated my wife's 40's and the challenge was to create an vegetarian menu because my wife is vegetarian. Mashav was very professional all the way from helping us selecting items for the menu through the event itself. The food was very delicious! Everybody was excited about the food and the organization. Le Couloir is your choice If you are looking for high end food selection and an amazing service

If you are looking for fun with cooking AND eating, this is your place! Chef Mashav is so nice, informative and has so much knowledge of the food world that she makes it fun. I highly recommend her and her staff to all that want to learn some new recipes for the kitchen!

My wife and I had the opportunity to have a temptations dinner at Le Couloir where chef Mashav Shelef created an amazing culinary experience. The Ceviche was amazing as were the pasta dish and the short rib served on a Belgian waffle with savory ice cream. Every dish was surprising and a delicious adventure. The home made bread is a winner. The tables wee beautifully set with unique ceramic dishes. The music added to the ambiance and the service was very personal. Chef Mashav came out of the kitchen to present and explain each dish. It was a unique evening spent with good friends and some interesting new people we met.

Amazing experience. We started at the back yard, Mashav came outside with a few refreshing and appetizers that were inspired by the summer. After 3-4 small and interesting dishes we all went to the dining room. Each dish was really unique and delicious. Before every dish, Mashav explained what the ingredients are, and a little bit of the background of it. Also, the bread, butter and pesto were so good. We'll go back!

    Wonderful appetizer!

A wonderful young, up and coming personal chef here in San Francisco. Focuses on using the whole ingredient and local farm fresh raw materials. Her speciality is a 10 course meal but she will do shorter if desired. She also runs creative cooking workshops for adults and children. Each course is carefully and lovingly prepared and creatively presented.

Fun and informative food tour in the Richmond district! Mashav was a wonderful guide weaving together a wide array of cuisines into a tasty afternoon. Just be warned to pace yourself or come hungry; we stopped at or sampled items from 10-12 local businesses.. Bonus round - when she realized we were ahead of schedule she added in a stop so we could compare two types of pork buns. She uncovers so many gems to experience while also providing recommendations for local businesses we didn't even have time to visit.Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike.

We had a wonderful in home dining experience to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday thanks to Mashav and her team. She was flexible and thoughtful in helping us create a custom menu. Communication was easy and effective and helped to ensure that everything went smoothly leading up to the event and on the day of. And the food.......I should have started with this. It was delicious!!!! So good. Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend her and hope to have another opportunity to work together and more importantly eat some of her delicious food!

And it couldn't have been a better decision. We took the North Berkeley Tour and Justin was our guide (who I very highly recommend). Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the history of all the delicious food we enjoyed, but he was also so personable and easy to talk to. It really felt like we were getting an insider's view of the area. And of course, the selection of food we had was diverse and amazing too (all of it). The best advice I can give to someone who would like to book this tour is to bring your appetite because you will not be hungry when it's over. In fact, by the time we got to our last stop for cupcakes, we were all so full that we just took them to go. I'm still amazed that we were able to visit so many different places in such a short distance. Many of the foods I tried were new to me but I think it's safe to say I've now discovered some new favorites and will definitely be back. Oh, and for those who like to shop, we passed a few cute places along the way too. This really was a fun experience and a wonderful way to spend the day!

Thank you, Debbie, Chef Carlos and everyone at Cozymeal!!! I'm so glad I found YOU, Chef Carlos and Cozymeal and we were able to share this experience with my colleagues. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

After waiting for two hours we decided that enough was enough and left. I don't know what exactly happened to Brian, and to give him the benefit of the doubt, for a while we thought, maybe he had some sort of emergency. And to be honest we would have been less irritated if he told us earlier on that he could not make the tour and needed to cancel, because shit happens in life. What we really didn't appreciate was the fact that he strung us along for two hours. Tour was suppose to start at 11:00. At 11:15 we were told, another 10 minutes. So we waited. Then we were asked to move to the next venue. So we waited for another 30 mins. Another call from Brian to the venue and asking us to wait another 10 mins. This kept going on until we waited for almost 2 hours. Throughout this whole time the main operator was apologetic and to be fair, offered us a refund and vouchers. They were also trying to get a hold of Brian, but couldn't. The problem was that Brian was clearly avoiding phone calls from his employer, because if he really had no signal he wouldn't have been able to call the venue and keep telling us to wait another ten minutes! I am all up for giving people a second chance. Maybe Brian has his reasons. Maybe his alarm didn't work and he forgot to wake up on time. But he needs a quick reality check in basic client management - don't over promise, and don't avoid confrontation because one cannot face delivering bad news. Because things surely will deteriorate quickly once people realise they are being lied to.
