I'm giving culligan of Chico 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1). Chaz is da man! He does installs, sales and probably everything else. I called for a quote and he responded right away. He even made it possible for us to get our water systems installed on a Saturday. Otherwise it would've been a lot longer to wait. 2nd- I got two other estimates for other water filtration systems and they weren't the quality of culligan AND much more expensive. I scheduled with one installer with another company and he had excuses why he didn't make it twice. Folks don't even bother with the others because they're not the quality that culligan systems are and in some cases twice as expensive. We got the best systems they make from culligan and they beat the stuffings outta the other brands. Hands down!! read more

Hair is still bright orange and Culligan doesn't care. I was a successful hair model and now the Culligan water smells and I feel sick. I may contact an Attorney and environmental protection, I work with the state and absolutely disgusted that Culligan just collects monthly money and doesn't care about the health of their customers :( crying every day, never been so depressed and can't look in the mirror read more

Customer service. For 20 years we have picked up our salt from Culligan. Today I went and bought 3 bags. The person helping me told me to pull around back to pick it up. One of the owners "Chaz" told me they won't put it in my car anymore due to worker's compensation cost if they get hurt doing it. But they will deliver for $25 dollars and dump it in your system. How does this make sense?? So I picked up three 40 pound bags and put them in my car. I've told 8 people so far today! read more

Pretty much the worst company I've ever worked with. Definitely in the bottom 5. Lack of integrity, lack of service, lack of professional responsibility, lack of honesty. My system stopped working months ago and they refuse to address it- but keep taking my money. I was very impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and friendly demeanor. We moved into a new construction home in November 2020 and had Culligan come out and install and a whole house water filtration system. Within months the system was leaking and our water bill was outrageous. The service tech came out and fixed the problem and Culligan gave us service credits for the high water bills. When the system started to leak a gallon a minute the second time, the tech came out and said they would just replace our system to the new one because the one they installed is notorious for having problems. We were walked through the bypass but it didn't bypass the system, it turned the water off to our whole house. When I called and talked to William and asked about this he seemed very indifferent. We were leaving for vacation and he was like we can come when you get back- so we as homeowners got the fun choice of leaving a leak for 10 days or having all our plants on the drip system die. When they were scheduled to replace the system they cancelled day of because people were out with Covid, the tech on the phone was at least kind enough to come out and shut the system off so we could have water but no leak. Today they came to replace the system. They showed up an hour and a half early (at 7am) and they blocked our driveway. My husband asked them to move as we needed to get cars in and out and they moved for him but parked in the driveway again blocking me in, and had to be asked again to move their truck. When I got home they were gone but they left our yard gate fully opened- not only is this unprofessional but a huge liability for us as we have a pool. Thank god someone's dog or child didn't wander into our yard. When I called William to tell him he was friendly but just sort of like yeah, that sucks. I'll talk to them. We deeply regret spending the money we did on this system and I do not recommend them. I give 2 stars because the billing department gave us credit for the water leaks and high water bill, the woman who answers the phone for service is great, the one tech who came out when our system was broken each time was kind and on top of it, and the original sales person Clay was great. William and the install crew are beyond disappointing. read more

Devin was a consummate professional. Got a basic softener system installed and it works fine. The plumbing fixtures were roughed up over the 18 years since this house was built. Now, I don't expect any more issues with my new fixtures. Water tastes the same, which is good! read more

I call and scheduled an appt with these people. I take the day off, time comes, no one shows. Call their office, no record. They apologize and agree to try and get someone out by PM. Great. Lo and behold, they figure out something messed up in their system and some appts didn't download. Okay, fine...things happen. So the guy comes out and tries to sell me these system for several thousand dollars. I say, I just want a rental like I had before in my old house in Williams. Oh, okay, he will go build me a system like they where they just come in and change the tank and charge me a monthly rental. Great I think. Finally after waiting over two weeks for a call back, I get a hold of the rep today. Oh he says, they won't do that....they will only install the full tank system (again, thousands). All this time I have been waiting for them to show up and then he says sorry, I don't know why I didn't call you back and tell you that. First of all, why can I no longer do a monthly rental and second, is this lack of customer service their standard mode of operation? Going to contact the Culligan 1-800 and see if I can get more assistance, preferably from a different office. read more

We just moved to Chico and inherited a Culligan water softener with the new house. We never had a water softener before and were clueless about its operation. I called Culligan of Chico for information. They called back promptly and offered a check up visit for a very reasonable fee. Service tech Steven Cox was on time. He explained what we had and how it worked. Turned out our system was in good shape and low maintenance. We know we can rely on Steve for any future softener needs. Terrible customer service. Called no less than six times. Each time I called I was told to talk to a different person and transferred. Only to leave a voicemail message for somebody who would never call me back. Nobody ever got the job done. Then out of nowhere I get a notice in the mail stating that I have a service schedule and account number. How about just return my phone calls? read more

We have had culligan for 8+ yrs... The business recently changed owners and without any notice our monthly bill went from $43 to $123. Not very happy and unless they can rectify this I will no longer use them. read more

We have used Culligan for salt delivery for our water softener for several years. They have a schedule for their service. It is so easy , I don't have to worry about the delivery, they always come when scheduled and now they have a newer online payment service which really is great. They notify me and then automatically it is deducted from our account. ONe less thing to worry about. read more
