An hour and 45 minutes after the end of the scheduled window, the owner called to say the tech was running late. He was still over an hour an a half away but he would be there. This would have put them at my home after 7:15pm (3.5 hours late). I asked them to reschedule. A few days later they called & rescheduled. Then they called to reschedule again. That time after rescheduling they did not show up during the window. I began looking for another company to work with when they called & wanted to "confirm" our appointment. I gave them another chance. I was assured I would be their first stop of the day & given a window of 9a -12p. The day the tech. finally showed up at 11am. He was unfriendly & did not communicate. Around 12:45pm he tells me that he found multiple leaks and that he didn't have parts to fix it so he left our water softener & reverse osmosis systems dissasembled & not working.I was told I would get a call later that day with a price for parts and a date when he could return to fix it but it would probably be a couple weeks before he could come back. That was the most he communicated with me in the entire nearly two hours he was in my home. He didn't explain to me what was broken/not working or why. Just that there was a leak. Two days later, after no contact from Aquasani/Rainsoft I called to inquire. The owner tells me the system is twice as old as they previously told us & he couldn't fix it BUT he could sell me a new system. Prior to their visit, I had zero issues with our systems they worked just fine. After what should have been routine maintenance by his tech, the system is not only not working but also disassembled & leaking. The owner refuses to admit they messed up our system or make it right. He only wants to sell us a new system.

A month after the installation, we are completely satisfied with the results. No more hard water deposits in the shower, sinks and tubs! It's like having a little maid in the basement who keeps our plumbing clean. The owners of the company answered our calls promptly, came when expected, installed our softener quickly and did a little extra work we needed for no extra charge. We highly recommend this company!

This is my second bad experience with Roto-Rooter. The second time I called Roto-Rooter to see if…read morethey would replace a Spicket on my back patio deck. A technician came out and after looking at it briefly said it would be $440 to be repaired. I asked what I was paying for the tech said it'll be $440. I said I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying I'd like to know what am I paying for as far as labor and the part for the replacement faucet. he said I'm not sure it's just $440. I said that sounds kind of expensive. Could you break it down for me? He said no I really can't break it down. I'm not sure I'd have to ask someone else. so I had to argue with him for about 15 minutes. finally I said, look I don't want to do business with you if you can't tell me what I'm paying for. so the tech finally went out to his truck called someone. Hen came back and said it's about 100 some dollars for the faucet and the rest is for the labor for the repair. so I found out that I would be paying a two hour minimum even if it took him a hour to repair. I'd be paying a two hour minimum labor at $150 an hour plus the price of the faucet. This is the exact experience I had with Roto-Rooter before. they hide their pricing. They want to charge you a high minimum labor rate per hour and not be honest with you upfront about what you're paying for. Don't use Roto-Rooter. They're not a reputable company.
