The past 3 orders I picked up have been missing an item or clearly wrong .Today I ordered 6 piece shrimp and got 6 tenders. order a cheeseburger with no mustard or pickle. i got a burger with mustard pickles and bacon?!?! This Midwestern fast food restaurant is totally about family. The food is delicious but, not low calorie. This is a casual splurge that you bring little ones with grandparents after a day at the park or a birthday. There is outside seating at most locations. Seniors love this place. Indoor seating is always clean and properly heated or air conditioned The people who work there are always cheerful. The Drive through moves pretty fast, too. My favorite, of course, is the cheese butterburger without mayo. Best to be eaten at the location or if you are within 5 minutes away. The burgers can be greasy and the bag can get steamy wet. My favorite soup is the beef vegetable. Chicken Noodle is good, too. Then, there is the Frozen Custard menu. Frozen custard is a soft serve cream. There are salads, and great fried, Cod sandwiches and dinners. Around February and March, wall eye is offered. I wish it was served year round. This might be the best fast food burger I ever had, and I'm a die hard in n out fan. I didn't think there would be a fast food burger to top them, but Culver's did that for me. When I bit into Culver's, it was perfectly greasy like a burger made from a summers day barbecue. The meat was well seasoned and delicious. Went tonight with family for a late dinner. We got our food 9:45pm after waiting 20mins for meals. Total was $77.52 for all of us. By 10:15pm we were asked to leave because they were closed. We told them other people are still eating, Diana replied I am asking them to leave too. If workers are having an issue waiting for people, who pay their wage, why are you serving until the closing time? Its a shame because the food was really good tonight, but workers need to relax. My boyfriend and I visited Culver's a few days ago. We typically visit this location often and have given them plenty of business. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience a few days ago and can no longer recommend going. We tried to order concrete mixers for both of us; however, we were told they were out. Alright. My boyfriend then tries to order some iced tea...we were told they're also out of iced tea. Hmmmm. Okay. They *did have the frozen custard, so although we wanted the concrete mixers, we ordered a pint since this was all they had, along with a burger and fries. We get home and start to eat, and it...was...bad. The frozen custard was supposed to have peanut butter ans caramel, but we couldnt find caramel nor peanut butter in it at all. Boy was it bland. The taste was off. Didn't expect bad food from Culver's, let alone such low inventory. I filled out a survey that evening, asking from Culver's to contact us. Nobody did. This also surprises me since we have visited Culver's numerous times and have poured tons of money into trips to Culver's. Such a shame. Waited bout 50 minutes for 4 almost identical meals watched everyone around me pass and watched people walk in and out with their order in hand. Was very busy during their dinner rush I'd recommend coming between rushes. They messed up a drink size was missing a cheese for a cheese fry and over cooked the cheese curds. Shakes were practically melted by the time u got them. I didn't notice any slowness as far as movement of the workers just overly busy at the time of arrival. I soon found out that their was one near one of my company's labs in Crete, IL. I love getting the butter cheese burgers, fish sandwich, and a scoop of their custard. Favorite Custards: Rocky Road, Mint Brownie, and Cashew Delight. The staff here are very friendly and they open the door for you when you enter. You'll be sure to leave this place happy. Before you even step in the door, there are workers holding the door open for you and welcoming you to Culver's. Everyone at this establishment is incredibly hospitable. They'll even go so far as to ask you at your table if you want more ketchup. This is amazing for a fast food establishment. Now, the food is also great. I love the chicken tenders, which are always hot and fresh. They also have great cheese curds and green beans. But the crown goes to the custard. There's a different flavor of the day each day, which is fun. The concrete mixers are delicious, thick and creamy. They'll also go around with free samples of the flavor of the day. Finally, this particular Culver's is immaculate. The bathrooms are very clean and the workers take care of all trash. This 5 star rating is not comparable to a fine food restaurants of course but to other fast foods. It's a clean place and and the staff was alert to serving customers, big plus. I only had the Butterburger and a small vanilla shake. They were both so good way above what you'd get at Mcd's, really good flavor quality burger and the shake was thick and satisfying not a milky mess (like McD or DairyQ). I usually love the experience at the Crete location- they open the doors for you, greet you upon arrival, the food is always great. However, that was not my experience on Sunday 7/21 around 5pm (none of it). When we arrived there was the typical single line, but when new guests entered and walked directly up to the register we were all taken aback. This happened to me again after I returned to the counter to order dessert. I feel the cashiers should be more aware of who is next to avoid a situation. My food was ok but the burger did not taste as good as usual. Something was missing, the flavor was off. I also ordered a salted caramel concrete mixer that was surprisingly boring...I could not taste any salt so basically I had a caramel sundae. We arrived around 730 on a late June Thursday evening. We were greeted at the door by a smiling employee holding open the door and saying "Welcome to Culvers." What a pleasant way to begin a dining experience! Too bad it didn't last. Ordering was unremarkable. Receipt of our dinners was just okay. While they brought the crackers for the chicken noodle soup to our table in relatively short order we were shorted the soup itself. Throughout the roughly 1-1/3 hours we spent in the restaurant we were "serenaded" by a screaming 2 year old. After barely sitting down we changed our seats in an effort to avoid screaming little bugger... but, sadly, it didn't work. This kid, the high-chaired smallest of four youngsters accompanied by their Mom, was soooo loud his voice was inescapable. Everyone in the restaurant could hear the ear-splitting screech... and little else. It was so bad we commented on it to two members of staff, who made empathetic faces at the commotion, but did absolutely nothing, nada, zip, zilch in an effort to remedy the problem.
