Isolde liked her mushroom Swiss burger but said she'd pass on the sticks of Styrofoam.

We made the mistake on Monday to head to a restaurant in Plainwell that is closed on Monday. Halfway there, we realized our boo boo, so we decided to head someplace fast & quick for burgers & fries. So that meant a chain restaurant. Culver's in neighboring Otsego got the vote. The order for two baskets was quickly taken: a double cheese butter burger for her & a double mushroom Swiss butter burger for me. The burgers were the highlight. Both were very satisfying. The krinkle fries were the lowlight. They were nothing but tasteless starch in spite of the addition of salt and/or condiments. But, my girl will give Culver's plus points for providing packets of malt vinegar for fries. Few restaurants do that, particularly chains. The soda machine is the old style offering the usual offenders. Culver's has not progressed to the Coca Cola Freestyle machines that work off an app & offer thirty or forty different choices. We had a Diet Coke & a Sprite, and the machine seemed to be mixing the concentrate & the carbonated water appropriately. (I've been to some Culver's that seem to prefer a diluted mix, but not this one.) The weirdness of the restaurant is that it has a drive through but no window, so an employee has to run the food out to the cars. I was facing the window to the main entrance so I got to watch a gray haired employee repeatedly walk out with bags of food to waiting customers in cars. Must be fun when it's raining or freezing outside.

I passed by clever during a road trip. The staff were super friendly ans nice. Food was good I ordered the chicken asnd strawberry salad aling with fish sandwich. Fro drinks i ordered mango cooler. The salad was fresh and tasty. The mixture of raspberry and vinegar sauce added a balance to the delicious taste. The fush sandwich was good in general but it felt extra greasy to me. The crinkle fries was the best! The mango cooler was refreshing and icy but it felt more peach than mango to my tasting buds. In general, it was a good time and experience. I will visit Culver again for sure.

Disgraceful I ordered THE WORKS, just to find ONE pickle and ONE onion. That's IT. NO lettuce, NO tomato, and NO sauce to be found.

Honestly, excellent. It was old school service. Bread, drink refills, etc. We did two appetizer,…read morethe Brie and steak. Both were excellent, Brie being my daughter's and my favorite (even ordered one to go). I order the ribs, so good! My daughter had the NY strip (loved it), husband had the fillet (loved it), son had quesadillas (I honestly couldn't tell, he said he liked them). We all had desserts, and all were outstanding. Lots of leftovers. Drinks were also lovely. I'm kind of embarrassed that we've never come here before. Service was great, everything was wonderful.

We have been meaning to dine here for quite some time and we finally made it. If I had to…read morecharacterize this restaurant, I'd call it a diamond in the rough. You just don't expect to find fine dining in such a rural setting. We arrived a half hour before our reservation (must have) being that we were coming from so far away. We were told our table wouldn't be available until close to our reservation time. No problem. Four Roses has a very nice bar. My wife had a glass of wine and after perusing their pretty impressive bourbon list, I ordered my drink. First observation-bourbon and wine very reasonably priced. I also like the fact they had large cubes so I could enjoy my drink before it got watered down. Cubes were perfectly clear as well. We were shown to our table about ten minutes early and started to review the menu. Four Rose's menu has many staples but changes often adding specials. Our server came by quickly and answered our questions. We had many as there were so many great dishes to consider. Rolls right out of the oven were also brought to our table. My wife ordered White Fish Grenoble and I had the Maple Mustard Baby Back Ribs. I didn't care for the vegetables offered so I substituted rice. My wife was not overly impressed with her choice calling it very bland with almost no flavor. She loved the vegetables however. Portions were large-just not to her liking. My ribs were excellent. The maple mustard sauce was so good I asked my server for more. We both thought the rice was brittle - perhaps overcooked. Four Rose's is also known for their deserts and we were tempted. I had amaretto coconut creme pie. Excellent. My wife loves toffee pudding so she was excited to try it when she saw it on the menu. Unfortunately it was more of a toffee bread pudding then actual pudding. The server quickly took it off the bill when she returned and saw it was barley touched. Our server needs to be cloned as she was so good and responsive. Even with these short comings, our experience was excellent and we will be back.
