Sure, I'm one of those people who prefers the segregation of my Nature's Place organic and natural foods into their own area, but they do a solid job at clearly identifying the sections among the aisles that are home to those products. I will admit: I've never been here during the middle of summer, so maybe it is a lot more hectic and chaotic here. But your busy Hannaford during July is the Hannaford on Forest Ave in Portland 24/7/365, so perspective. No, the parking lot isn't the best of the Hannaford parking lots (I'd say Westbrook and Lewiston have those) - mostly because the entrance/exit is a bit constricted; and, inside, there could be more aisles open when cashing out, but I appreciate that the Self Checkouts were all working and moved quickly. Parking - it is a shared lot with a few other businesses and it is a shared driveway - it makes it a bit crowded and hectic. The parking lot can be a challenge to navigate whether you're walking through or driving through it. It seems that someone is always honking at someone. People don't really look carefully, so be on the lookout for reverse lights. The good news about the small lot, is that carriage racks aren't far from wherever you might be and i have NEVER seen a stray cart sitting out in the middle of the lot. The store seems smaller than most I have been in and is very crowded during peak hours, end of day between 5-6pm. I have found the quality of the produce to be great and sourced locally. They were selling Ricker Hill Farms Apples today. Great quality. The bakery and cheese section is where I spend a lot of time while waiting for the deli number to be called. One word LOCAL! Pigs Fly Bread, BIG SKY BREAD!!!! Debbie's Pies, Wicked Whoopie Pies and PINELAND FARMs cheeses!! I could go on and on, but you just need to come and see for yourself. The rest of the aisles and products are typical, until you get to the other side of the store, where there is an Agency Liquor store inside! It's a nice space, plenty of options of wine, spirits, beer and on occasion they have tastings. While they don't have rare/limited release beers, they do have a good selection of craft beer. Staff is pleasant for the most part. They work quickly to move customers through the lines. The only complaint I have is that their customer service desk, isn't really a customer service desk...it's a register and if there isn't enough staff and or they are busy, they close it and only run it as a checkout. Hence the 1 less star, as I really needed stamps, so much for my one stop shopping. I do recommend this Hannaford if you are in the area. Great products and good prices. Don't forget to bring your own bag to avoid the $.05 surcharge.

I'll be honest, I like to go to self-serve, pay at the pump and get out. Here you do need to go into the store but they make it as efficient as possible. They are so busy that they have you pump your gas then move your car ahead before going into the store to pay. They ask that you let them know how much you owe them when you get into the store. This allows others to pump their gas. It is a Fabian gas station. During the increase in gas prices recently, Charleen's prices were ALWAYS lower than anywhere around. The prices were not just a little but a lot (30-50 cents a gallon) lower. They want to give the savings back to the community. There were times when the gas was $4.50 gallon at other stations and I don't think it ever went over $3.90 here. Let me tell you, the owners are awesome. They are friendly and inviting. They love dogs and are fine if you want to bring them into the store. They offer a variety of sundry items, beer, milk and even local baked goods. It is hard to rave about a gas station but if I am going to, it is absolutely going to be about Charleen's. This store/gas station and the people who own it are the best!

This establishment is very close to where I live, and as such I do a fair amount of business here…read more The fact they really resent taking debit or credit cards has cost them about $150 a year in business from myself. I am one of those who rarely have cash on me. The coffee they make is outstanding! Unfortunately in the morning when I count any cash I have laying around, and am usually a few cents short. So I go to Cumberland Farms, just down the street. They take debit without drama, even if all their coffee, no matter what flavor they label it as, always tastes the same. Try using a debit card at Oak Hill Cash Market, the owner acts like you are a complete asshole. Plus they are out of cream 80% of the time I go there. I have to ask, then stand around and wait for them to "get to it". But regardless, the way they make their coffee is incredible and is even better (and much cheaper) than Dunkin Donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are another highlight...always plenty just freshly cooked, so there is no waiting. The pizza they make could not taste much worse, however....a limp, soggy crust and just not good by any stretch of the imagination. It's almost like you have to try to make a Pizza this bad. Because it is a convenience store, the groceries appear to be from a museum and way too expensive to consider, even in a pinch. That being said, I do not go out of my way to do business here, but would get my daily cup of coffee here every single day if using a debit card did not cause the owner to act like you are putting him out of business by doing so. But they do some things extremely well, and I can't go less than 4 stars, as it is locally owned and operated and it's nice to see these places succeed. They do have my 4 star rating, and I recommend this place on the strength of their Coffee and Breakfast sandwiches. You won't get that quality at a chain store.

The Dresden takeout was a real fun place! We felt like we went back in time to the 60s or early…read more70s. The gas pump was not digital. The thing actually went judging Gigi as it rang up. There was no attendant we paid for gas and then we pumped however, we didn't know the pump didn't stop! It just kept going, so I went back into pay the balance and scout it out the store a little bit my favorite find was this bag of wafer candy with blue raspberry powder that has a tattoo on the bottom for your tongue. It's temporary but my students in sixth grade Absolutely loved this candy for the tattoo and the super blue sour raspberry powder inside it all fades away within seconds, but oh what fun! What's amazing about these little gas stations in the middle of nowhere is that they typically have pizza wings and subs and everybody seems to stop there. It's a great way to get a feel for the locals when you're traveling. We were heading to a lodge on Lake Conossee, we were literally running on fumes driving on winding one lane country road as the sun was setting when we saw this gas station with only two pumps we had to stop. It was one of the most memorable part of our trip..

I popped in this evening (been to this one once before and it was great) about half hour before the chicken closed up. They were out of wedges and had a single tender left. The guy working said the fryer was acting up and they were too close to closing to make more. With as packed as the place was during a snow storm, they would have sold everything in that half hour. I left without getting anything. I'll try back again some other time i guess, but super disappointed that the place couldn't fry up more chicken and wedges considering i would have cleared most of them out.
