The store is fine. The tall Hispanic clerk that served me today was out to lunch. I asked him if the Ghost energy drinks had any deals going for multiple purchases. He just smiled and laughed. After he rang up my stuff I asked him again "Are there any deals on the Ghost drinks?" More smiling "Do you understand what I'm asking you?". "Ghost?" "Yes, the energy drinks I just bought. most locations usually have a 2 for $5 or 3 for $7 type of deal." "You got $5 off" "That's for the gatorades". It's fine, apparently you don't have a special going. Continues weirdly smiling like he's on edibles or something. Walk out the door and the bag he put all of my drinks in instantly fails and the drinks go rolling all over the place. Hard to find good help these days. read more

On August 3rd I went to this store to purchase ice for my sons birthday party. I was walking to the register from the ice i walked into a knee high stack of soda bottles displayed in the middle of the isle. In the process hurt my foot ended up with a swollen toe and the side of my foot bruised. I informed the cashier and he laughed and said yes that happens and went to clean it up but i already had. I informed the company with an email just to let them know about this situation and was informed they would let the district manager know of the situation and would be reached out to. It has now been three weeks and haven't gotten and email or phone call and am very disappointed in this. No apology or anything from the store. read more

Can't complain about pumping gas, it works, it works. The issue came about when we were getting 2 cans of margaritas. The cashier assumed my friend were talking to her kids when she said pick one. Even though, her kids were nowhere near us, and she was watching very closely. My friend tried to explain that it was for us adults and we were planning to drink it on the mountain after hike. After a slightly calm discussion, we decided to buy the alcohol elsewhere. The station is surrounded by alcohol shops, so if it's so taboo, why have your own decent stock of alcohol?! So yeah, don't buy alcohol here just because it's convenient to get gas and a drink. read more

Much like, ALan, I too have noticed the SLOW gas pumps (both at the old and new facility). I noticed them on the right side pumps facing the building. Yes- the music is blaring outside and much more room to park and navigate around the parking lot. Another peeve of mine is that since they opened, they do not have yet ice tea (99 cents any size). THey have all kinds of coffee but no tea to be found. Still one of the cheapest places in Salem for gas. They do also have diesel (1 pump on the left side) but no signage for it. read more

This gas station, is pretty big with 8 gaz pumps Allows to fill up fast at any time. Cheapest prices here always , they are competing another gaz station next to it. Easy location on rt-28 . They do store to buy food and beer too. They have restrooms. Good breakfast deal every day for $4 read more

Yes, the food still sucks but not that bad. (I say this as my brother in law has eaten the food not me) They have my all time favorite candy ice cubes!!!! Plenty of gas pumps to get in and out quick. It's open 24/7 so it great to gas up at the night before instead of the mornings. They have a really cool beer cooler. The selection of beers is comparable to a liquor store. The last sale for beer is 11:30 every night I'm giving it 4 stars because they just reopened and have to work out some gas pump issues. read more

This location sets the bar for exceptional customer service, ultra clean, great coffee and cheap gas. A special praise for "John" he goes above and beyond in taking care of his customers. On a pouring rainy morning I watched as he ran out of the store to assist a senior with a walker coming in to pay for gas. He took his cash at the pump and returned with his change when the tank was filled. It was very cold, it was raining and he ran out in short sleeves to help this guy. read more

I don't stop into this Cumby's as often as I did when I was still a bum, living in my Dad's basement. But I feel like I've been coming here my whole life. Located roughly across from D'Angelo's and the new Daddy's Junky Music (Which isn't nearly as cool as when it was in its historic original location), Cumby's is smack dab drowning in Salem NH history. You have the Italian place next door (to the left) that has survived fires and car crashes. You have Carvel ice cream cakes, the cakes that can't be cut with a fkn chainsaw. You have Sheyer's fish market next door, (to the right) , which makes a smell on summer days that has you wishing someone would just go ahead and fart, to cover up that rotten fish stench. And somewhere in that plaza, there once stood, the Salem NH Pop Shop. In days of long ago, (As the intro from Voltron went), before 2 liter plastic bottles of Coke and Pepsi, Pop Shop was where you could get 24 little 10 ounce bottles of any kind of Pop (i.e. 'soda') that you could imagine. Cumby's today is a clean and well organized store, with cold sandwiches, cold beer, knowledgable staff, cheap cigarettes, reasonable gas prices, and those Slim Jims with cheese for 2 bucks that may gross out your roommate, but taste so good when you're a tad hungry. One night, many moons ago, I was getting a cup of coffee at Cumby's, on my way home from God knows where, and ended up with some spillage; I grabbed a paper towel, cleaned it all up, and went on up to the counter to pay for my shit. The girl behind the counter gushed over the fact that I was the only person she'd ever seen clean their own 'coffee mess', and let me have whatever the f--k I was buying that particular evening for free. It's nice to make a difference, however small, in someone's life. I became a permanent fan of Cumby's, Salem NH, that night, and never looked back. The Human Adventure is only beginning... read more

I will never visit this location anymore !! My 14 year old daughter went in today to buy a bag of snack and after she paid . She asked if she exchange it to a different kind and the older lady that was there wouldn't let her exchange it ! So I went in and and tried to talk to the lady and she wouldn't let me exchange it either ! I asked what kind of customer service that was and she said she can't do anything about it ! The staff on the register is always friendly and asks if I found everything I was looking for! Nicely lit, fantastic selection, but I'll go somewhere else for my fuel. The diesel pump offers about 3gallons per minute. It takes 30 plus minutes to fill a 100 gallon fuel cell.....I'm guessing they don't want this type of business anyway. read more

I've been going to Cumberland farms for years. The past year the service in the mornings has been mediocre at best. Sometimes I'll stand waiting to check out while the person behind the counter has more important things to do rather than ring me up. Also yesterday morning I had seen that the gas pumps were still waiting to be filled again. It had been three days that they weren't active. When I asked when they would be getting gas again the clerk looked at some paperwork and realized that it had been delivered the night before. So for 24 hrs they had gas but never removed the plastic out of service tags from the pumps. I'll still go there because I like the prices. But the way this place is ran is lazy and sloppy. read more

Visited the NEW Cumberland Farms Gas Station/Store - didn't go into the store. The small plaza that was here is gone, so the review of years ago directly below this is outdated, as the Italian Restaurant and all other things associated with the old plaza is gone - only Cumberland is hear. Well, this quick stop too FAR longer than anticipated for gas. Prices seemed good, so I stopped. I have never had pumps pump gas so SLOWLY. I timed it....8 seconds for 0.1 gallons, so I was there for about 15 mins pumping about 13 gallons of gas. Also, the pump is supposed to stop when it gas reaches the nozzle....IT DIDN"T, much to my surprise and the person on the other side, as gas came out all over the car, the ground, etc. If it was on automatic and I was in the store, that could have meant gallons of gas all over the place and a possible fire that would burn down the new facility. After the person next to me noticed the issue and noted too that it shouldn't have happen, I noted how slow it was. He too said the same thing, as he was there for over 5 mins and was washing his windows, headlights, etc. killing time. Then someone from another lane said that he thought that he was the only one having problems. Not only this, but one needs earplugs to avoid the music that is blaring outside. At 8:15AM, I like quiet, and to hear this at any time of the day is really annoying. Cumberland Farms should shut down the gas side of things if these things are not corrected - if not corrected, and people won't want to kill 15 mins pumping gas when it normally takes only a few mins. The pump not shutting off is a disaster waiting to happen. (oh, one apparently can save $ if they use SmartPay via a phone - if only I had a SmartPhone or a phone that wasn't 10 years old, that could be a possibility - it is a shame that there are many offers and discounts some people can take advantage of if they have the latest technology or $ but others are shut off from such offers/savings). read more

I got more than $40.00 worth of gas and about $15.00 worth of groceries and I asked to use the ladies room and told them I had a medical problem but they refused. Flatly refused.
