    Bike Parking!!
    John P.

I have to say , being new to the area, I have really fallen in love with this brand new Cumberland Farms Store located at the intersection of Rte. 195 & 44. It has everything including, cheap gas, bike rack outside, clean outside and inside, very friendly employees who normally say "Hi" as you enter the establishment. They have really cheap but very good tasting egg/cheese/combo with bacon on muffin, etc etc. sandwiches starting at $1.99 and up...Once you pay for it, they heat it up in no time, and they actually taste better than Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwiches, and you get more for your money. They have the lottery , with all of your favorite scratch off tickets, or quick pick Ct. lottery games. They have their own Cumbies Chocolate Bars, as your standing in line, they are right in front displayed...very cheap but very tasty...many chocolate flavors to choose from including "Espresso Bean", our favorite!!! Their coffee section is huge, and always freshly brewed, They have many flavors, and many free 'add ons'. I applaud Cumberland Farms for really stepping it up to the next level with their Coffee Self Service...There is plenty of room on busy mornings, and you might bump into a few customers, but everyone is so cheerful there. I love all the varieties of skim milk, light milk, sugar, honey, add flavored shots, then at the counter, add more flavors...amazing...and the coffee is pretty damn good for only . 99 per cup, any size!!! And when it's time to check out, 99% of the time, if the line gets more than 3 customers deep, a very attentive employee will stop what they are doing on the floor or back room and start ringing you up. I applaud this as well, because who wants to wait? Big Y in Tolland for an example should take heed in what I'm saying. In conclusion, if you are heading out to UConn for a Event, or never tried this location, please stop by Cumberland Farms where they are always open 24 hours a day. You won't be disappointed. Fast, Friendly, Efficient, Fun, and even has Free Air !!!

Some other reviewer mentioned racism against South Asians, felt is first hand last night. Went in…read morearound midnight, to pick up a few things. This was basically my first time there, firstly when we walked in the store, there was a strong, permeating smell of weed, as if someone was smoking weed in the backroom. I get smoking weed on the job, but at least have the decency to not do it inside an established. Few minutes later a man appeared from the backrooms behind the counter, who was visibly high (just staring at me blankly), I asked him whether he had my brand of cigarettes, he mumbled something which I guess was a no. And then turned his back towards me. Okay, so I asked for a different brand. He mumbled something else, and threw the cigarette pack towards me, across the counter. I paid, looked at him, while he glared at me. Funny thing is, he does not know this, but I was with my GF, and she was in line next to buy some snacks. So, as I opened my pack, I saw how he interacted with her (she is white). He was extra nice, and she even got a "have a nice day" in the end. She immediately remarked on the fact that this was a racist encounter. It's 2024 dude, do better, and stop hiring comically, and openly racist people @Sam's Food Stores.

I didn't think the place was that bad for a convenience store. Their prices are higher than most…read moreconvenience places but it is on a college campus. Not really considered a quick stop in because you'll have to drive out of your way to go through UConn to get here. Overall the store is very well lit and it has some good selections for drinks and snacks. I never got the chance to check out it's other supplies but everything seems to be well stocked. I always stop in here for a slushee (they have the best {and maybe the only ones?} on campus). Parking is alright (there's like 4 spaces in front of the shop), outside isn't really lit up at night, and there are no public bathrooms.
