A Most Curious Encounter in the Apothecary's Hall…read more Hark! Upon a fair and modest eve, mine errand did guide me to yonder house of Walgreens, where humble folk procure their balms, tinctures, and potions of modern make. Lo, as I did tread the aisle where soaps in abundance rest--fragrant bricks of lavender, rosemary, and milked honey--I beheld a sight most strange and wondrous: a man, noble in bearing, and of curious name--Brodius. There he stood, bold as any lion in the field, clutching a bar of lye-born delight. Without shame or hesitation, he did place the soap upon his tongue, and with solemn grace did chew, as though it were a feast fit for kings. I dared not speak, for awe held my tongue, but his eyes did meet mine, and he spake thus: "The suds, good sir, do cleanse not only flesh, But soul and sin alike. Wilt thou partake?" Nay, I partook not--but in that moment, I knew I was in the presence of a legend. The staff, though sore confused, did naught but gaze, for none could halt a man so resolute in purpose. Brodius vanished 'ere the hour turned, leaving naught but a trail of citrus-scented valor. Would I return to this hallowed hall? Aye, a thousand times aye.

Both the drive-up window and instore pickup lines are long and slow. They are understaffed but even if they had enough staff there is nowhere to put them. The physical pharmacy space itself is tiny. The retail store is large; one would think that the pharmacy would deserve larger and more efficient space. The instore waiting area is not well lit. The worst thing, though, a pharmacist there told me that Eliquis and clopidogrel (Plavix) are the same thing. They are completely different drugs and act in different ways. Be careful of any advice you get from a pharmacist there.

I recently had a disturbing and infuriating experience at this Cumberland Farms location. I went in…read moreto purchase two Gatorlite drinks, advertised as 2 for $5, but they rang up as $5.50. With tax, the total came to $5.94. When I pointed out that the sales tax should be $0.40, not $0.94, I was met with disbelief and outright hostility. The employees insisted that the $0.94 was the correct tax, despite it clearly being an error in their system. Instead of addressing the issue, the two employees--both of whom were of a different race than I am--ganged up on me. Their behavior quickly escalated from rude to what felt like a racially motivated attack. They repeatedly insisted "it's the tax," in a mocking tone, refusing to listen to any explanation. I was laughed at, ridiculed, and made to feel as though my concerns were invalid simply because of who I am. It felt like I was being singled out and demeaned based on my race. Eventually, they asked if I even wanted the drinks, making it clear they had no interest in resolving the situation or treating me with basic respect. What's even more concerning is that they claimed every customer is told "that's the tax" and no one ever complains. If that's true, then Cumberland Farms is potentially collecting illegal sales tax on thousands of transactions per day. Now that this review is public, if Cumberland Farms doesn't address this issue with these employees, they could be guilty of negligence and should be fined. I hope New York State gets their $0.94 tax on this transaction, which I doubt will happen under these circumstances. For reference, my receipt number is 221-2080, in case Cumberland Farms wants to do their due diligence and investigate. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and the fact that it appeared to be racially motivated makes it all the more unacceptable. Unbelievable that this is what customer service has come to today. I would recommend screening and better training of employee's zero stars if I could. This was definitely not about the 50 cents per transactions theft , but the principle of the matter .

The two girls at the counter said that the restroom key was with a lady who was using the ladies' restroom. I told them to give me the men's restroom they said they have only one key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told them I can't wait, I will pee in my pant, so they started laughing while I was suffering. I am a 75 year old diabetic person but they didn't respect my age, they were laughing. This happened today at 4:10 pm. Those employees must be fired, and the person who is responsible for training new employees must do a better job preparing the employees to deal respectfully with customers. I always look high to Cumberland Farms...I never expected this humiliation!!! My phone is: 515-708-4363
