Pleasant shopping experience here while my dog was being groomed at close by Petsmart at 10 am. Staff was very helpful. In fact, one stopped what he was doing to walk me over to the item which was featured at the entrance. Another worker checked in the stockroom for an item I wanted and brought it out to me with a smile. The produce section was well stocked and full of quality fruit and vegetables. The seafood counter was stocked with center cut pieces of Salmon. Checkout was efficient. The cashier packed delicate items with care. I needed help loading my car because I had many bulky and heavy (for me) beverages. A pleasant worker was available quickly to load my car. read more

Place is clean. It also appears to be well stocked. Produce always looks. Don't like their self check out at all and many times forced to go there due to long lines. I bought a large container of chicken breasts that was definitely leaking slightly. I asked if they had any bags I could put my chicken in so I didn't contaminate the rest of my groceries. She just shook her head. No ideas, no I'm sorry. Nothing. Awesome social skills. Also the card reader wouldn't work. Made for a rather unpleasant shopping experience. Okay I just wanted to make sure I put this here and that the managers of this store is aware. I went to pick up a couple groceries for my friends, and walked over to the fish market. The employee there was over at the deli chatting it up with his coworkers, so I had to wait a couple minutes for him to finish his conversation. While he was preparing my order, a store manager (or what looked like a manager - he was dressed up in a suit and tie) walked over stocking items up and he was conversing with the guy behind the fish market. They had an exchange about who he was checking up on - clearly playful banter. But what threw me off was that the fish market employee said to the manager that he should be checking up on the deli employees (who are both black) in a joking manner. The manager replies saying something to the likes of, " these n*****s ........" and made a reference to corn regarding them. After the fish market employee just stared at me like "did she hear that?!?" Yes. Yes, I did. These are both white men who clearly do not care about their customers nor their coworkers. Straight racist. I hope that this gets to someone in charge and I'd be more than happy to share details regarding this experience. read more

Went food shopping with my daughter today and our cashier was Evan A and the lady in front of us was a sweet little old lady and he was absolutely outstanding with her, even offered to bring her groceries out for her, and it was just really nice to see so wanted to give him props for being wonderful! read more

Was very sad to see ShopRite close. It was our neighborhood grocery store. We now go to Price Chopper on Balltown Road. Immediately when going to the bakery we were greeted by Hannah. Her beautiful smile and eagerness to help with whatever we needed made the transfer not only seamless but enjoyable. she brought back that hometown grocery store to us on our first visit. As far as my reviews go, I am going to keep this one short. This Price Chopper--or "Market 32" as it aspires to become--is quite mediocre. Why? In the end, it all comes down to the HERBS. This store rarely has fresh herbs. Even the basics! Parsley, cilantro, dill? Not for you, not at this Price Chopper. I don't believe in the plastic packages of individually-packed HERB that include a single leaf at a cost of multiple dollars. These are sometimes in stock. But if you need HERB to make a stew, to build a salad, or to season a meat, this is not the Price Chopper for you. At my most recent visit in May 2020, during the midst of The COVID-19 Pandemic of the 2020s, the store appeared to be undergoing some half-assed renovation process. It was not a good look. In all honestly, it was a disaster. Perhaps the end product will be wonderful and deeply titillating, but at what cost comes the journey to get there? Overall, this Price Chopper stocks many of the basic products (and their bagels are good), but do NOT expect an enjoyable shopping experience. read more

Not Happy at All During this power outage that we recently had over the last couple days the power went out over at this Price Chopper or as they call it now Market 32 and I am not sure where they had the generator that was giving them power but it seems like they were running that thing right inside the store. As we walked inside the store we noticed an intense smell of almost exhaust we heard what was like a generator going and we could only assume that it was and that's why they were having power because there was no power anywhere else on that strip that they were at. It literally made you sick to your stomach as you walked in through the store and we're doing your shopping it was one of those things where you wanted to hurry up and get through as quickly as possible just so that you could leave the store and breathe. We said something to one of the cashiers and their response to us is well I've been here for a long period Of time and it's not bothering me. It just doesn't seem right to have that going on inside of a supermarket where people are walking into that place number one with masks on and then having it getting trapped inside the mask underneath it and then breathing in not only your own carbon dioxide but then also the exhaust fumes that's not a good combination especially for older folks or people with serious health conditions who may not be that old luckily we're not either one of those too but it's still difficult for us to breathe in there when we walked in there. I needed to write this because I was very upset and I truly hope that management never allows that to happen again. As a corporation that makes as much money as you do there's got to be a better way for you to keep your lights on and keep the fumes out of that store! Thank you so much for listening. read more

Some props for this particular Price Chopper location: the bagels section are the best among the local grocery stores I've found. The produce section is big and open. The store is not crowded, physically, although still suffers from long-aisle syndrome. Seafood and deli are below par but the hot foods are decent if average. The prices have generally been competitive, without a card, on an Apples to Apples basis but are not the bargain the name implies. The organic/naturals are not as plentiful as the nearby Shop Rite, but at least the organic produce is grouped up together. Cheeses and meats are fairly run in the mill. Overall the selection is deep for mainstream labels and quite thin for specialty foods ("ethnic", organic/natural, local). Some oddities: having separately designated entrances and exits far from one another, and almost no natural light in the store. Not as depressing as the nearby Hannaford's, but they could help the shopping experience by not having it feel quite so warren-like. We patronize this sporadically as an alternative to Shop Rite in part because the staff don't seem quite so suicidally-depressive as the Shop Rite, and the Hannaford's is another story altogether. But it's still far from my ideal grocery store. read more

I hate shopping at price chopper in general but I had no other choice. The deli counter said they were open till 8 and I got there at 745 and they said they were closed and they REFUSED to serve me. No salads were made. Nothing was stocked. Everybody is just plan rude. No customer service. I just know I won't ever be back here. read more

This Mohawk Commons location is excellent. It is huge, with a large bakery section (with great bagels) and lots of take-out hot items and sushi. The cheese counter is also huge and the meat section is great. Check out was fast and friendly. The bottle return space could be bigger and cleaner though. And yes, the prices are good. back story on July 22 I called the altamount ave store order 2 ,2 foot subs for pick up on Sunday July 24 for 11am . it was confirmed in the phone for pickup at this time . I went into this location today the 24th at 11:15am waiting in line at the deli and once my turn was there asked for my pre ordered subs . one employee said she couldn't find them another asked me if I had the right store as the first employee came out with order sheet and told me they would get right on it . then a manager approached me and said they were unable to give me my PRE ORDERED SUBS. because the bread was never made . I got no Compensation no other other offers . the manager told me there was nothing they could do for me because the bread was never made. this was all 30 minuets before my party was to start . read more

Excellent service and a great seafood selection all their fish looked fresh and really really good there are things that are much more expensive than if you were to shop at Hannaford or ShopRite but there are a few things here that I wouldn't mind coming back for. This store has gone steadily downhill since it opened. Selection has become more and more limited in every area. Baked goods are worse than something you would buy from Freihofer's second day shop. Worse of all is the meat department. Often the meat is expired, so you have to be VERY careful. Meat from the butchers case came out moldy once and they still tried to sell it to me! Getting a special rib roast, $64, I found that it wasn't properly cut off the bone and tied although the MANAGER said it was. Of course this wasn't discovered until I was home. Overall I prefer Shop Rite now, even though Price Chopper is a mile from my house. read more

Price chopper is following in the footsteps of the many that believe hot spicy food is a trend that customers want,,,without asking? Did Price chopper conduct a survey? Did they receive a majority request for more spicy food with their prepaid foods? Or was their thinking this is a trend our business needs to follow? I for one do not like hot spicy food! I for one appreciate a heads up when their prepared food is going to be Spicer today than yesterday! I for one will gladly go elsewhere to buy my food, or go out to dinner weekly. It's a large supermarket and has the pros (wide selection) and cons (insane on Saturdays) of the large stores. I like one stop shopping even if I have to pay a little more for it and this store is good for that. I do have a complaint with the pharmacy though. Seems the pharmacist refuses to acknowledge the presence of customers. He totally ignored me when I was there to pick up a prescription. I needed to get this prescription so I went back later when I saw the assistant was there. read more
