You only get 1 parking spot though, so if you have a girlfriend living with you, one of you has to park on the street which is kind of a drag. Also if your apartment faces East you have the road noise to deal with and it's super loud if you have the balcony door open. The place is really clean though and the new Recycling program is great. We found the heat was hard to come by in the winter, all the apartments run off the same boiler and it's hit or miss when we get those bone chilling Alberta winters. But like I said, if you want a safe cat friendly place to live...it's not bad.

We didn't want to risk having the infestation spread to us. The pest company came out weekly, which meant we (and our two senior cats) were kicked out of the apartment for 8 hours each time. We had to board them and the stress and chemical residue made both of them sick. We didn't have full access to our kitchen, living room or closet/cabinets due to treatment protocol. We paid for a 1 bedroom apartment and only could use the bedroom, unless we wanted to sanitize and repack/unpack our closets and cabinets weekly. No compensation for the boarding costs or rent for the days we were unable to be in our apartment. As if that isn't enough, one time they failed to lock and latch (literally it was visually open to anyone who came off the elevator on our floor) our door after the treatment was completed. When we told them to take better care, they lied and said they lock all the apartments afterward. Not true! We came back to our apartment at 8:30pm and the pest company left at 4pm. Not only was this stressful, the management was utterly incompetent and not sympathetic at all. They made the experience way worse than it needed to be. We needed to move out because the living conditions were horrible and they charged us $2000. Do not rent here unless you're okay with risking catching bugs! And they won't tell you they're battling a severe ongoing issue until after you sign the lease, so look out.

In my opinion, neither individual possesses the knowledge, judgment, or management skills required to oversee residential properties. Their repeated poor decisions have negatively impacted numerous properties and have caused unnecessary stress and financial consequences for residents. Complaints and legitimate concerns raised by tenants are routinely ignored, delayed, or dismissed. Crystal, in particular, has developed a reputation among residents for being intimidating and confrontational rather than supportive and responsive. Instead of addressing issues professionally, residents are often made to feel bullied or brushed aside. What is even more concerning is that various agencies and professionals, including Alberta Health Services, city inspectors, the Better Business Bureau, and others, have expressed concerns regarding Home Time's apparent failure to consistently follow bylaws, policies, regulations, and basic standards of property management. It is unacceptable that tenants are expected to live with the consequences of such poor oversight and disregard for accountability.

There was a broken exterior window at that time and it was boarded up. I was told by the realtor not to worry about the broken exterior window as it was the property management's company to replace exterior windows. I suspect it was broken and boarded up for a long time before my visit 3 months ago. A boarded up window that devalues every condo in this building! A boarded up that devalues the all the homes in the surrounding community! This company had MANY MONTHS to get off their behinds and do their job. Turns out it is easier and better for their bottom line not to do their jobs. They claim a prior owner broke the window (with no proof). They claim they can transfer the debt of a person I never met onto me even though every debt reassignment law in this country states that they can't. Simply criminal behavior. Irresponsibly lazy and greedy. Absolute scumbag behavior. Attached is a picture showing how much this company cares about this people in this complex, the complex itself, the Uplands and Lethbridge in general. Easier to make the who neighbourhood feel like the ghetto/ projects than to do their job. Garbage blowing around the complex. Cracked/ Pothole parking lot. Broken mail panels. Elevator has been down for 6 months. Burst pipes resulted in damaged units on the first floor. Aging seniors on upper floors forced to move out because Hometime refuses to take any responsibility for anything and do anything about any of this. Scum of the earth. Avoid this company like the Bubonic plague.
