After our carpet dried we noticed patches of discoloration in high traffic areas, so we called Floor Covering Technologies. They explained that the last time we had the carpet cleaned (by another company) they used a cleaning fluid of high pH. When the residue soap mixed with the new cleaner it made a precipitate in the carpet. A Floor Covering tech came back to the house and cleaned the residue in the carpet. Now the carpet looks brand new.
