We love the Cupcake Factory! They are located on West Kanis close to the end of Rahling Rd., on the edge of town, but worth the trip! There are always plenty of sweet treats to choose from for walk-in customers. Don't come before 11 am. They have lunches too. read more

Way overpriced for what you get. Their delivery fee for a cake is outrageous as well and the cakes are just okay as far as taste goes. The service wasn't all that great either. Four women working the front and nobody seemed eager to help us. There are much better bakeries that are priced better in town. read more

Change your hours so people don't drive 30 minutes like I did and you closed early. Disappointing

I took a chance on this place and took the 25 minute drive from home to get there. Ordered 2 dozen various cupcakes because I knew they wouldn't be able to accommodate my theme but after I explained to them what I was doing they WERE able to create the perfect cupcakes for my theme!! This bakery used to have a good product. I try to support local businesses when feasible. I should have taken the fiasco regarding our wedding order last year as a sign to stay away. However, I stopped by to get an anniversary cake this time. I needed a small round cake to replicate our wedding cake topper. Simple white cake with buttercream frosting. Fairly simple for a professional bakery, right? Unfortunately not. Came in on a Thursday before 2pm, just needed the cake for pickup Saturday. I understand it was somewhat late notice, but was told Strawberry or chocolate were my only options on less than 72 hours notice. Spoke to my a wife after I coerced into ordering chocolate cake, and we decided to change to strawberry. Called back Friday morning and was told no changes or cancellations. Not wanting my wife to be disappointed, I called another bakery in town on Friday at noon. We got a much better (looking & tasting) cake that was a white cake 6 inch round on a day's less notice. To top it all off, I decided to go pick up the chocolate cake I had prepaid for since I couldn't change/cancel it and the experience was once again less than pleasant. I stood at the counter for no less than 5 minutes while two employees bickered about the proper way to sweep as they were preparing to close for the day. Once I announced myself and asked if someone would be able to help me pickup an order, I was given a half-hearted excuse of the door bell that announced a customer's presence was broken. Local business is the backbone of our economy and unfortunately, The Cupcake Factory no longer has my business and I definitely will not recommend to others. read more

The cupcakes and cakes taste great but are very poorly decorated. There is just not professional quality decorating at this place like at other bakeries. It's a cute little friendly shop but if you need a cake decorated I would definitely go somewhere else. read more

I used the Cupcake Factory in 2013 for cupcakes and cookies and they were without a doubt amazing! Then I ordered a birthday cake in 2015, and was completing disappointed. The cake was piece together inside. I think I finally counted pieces and parts of 5 different cakes. It was a nightmare to slick and serve at the party and it didn't taste anywhere near as good as the product they provided just 2 years prior. I most recently popped into the store to pick up a 6 cupcakes for my daughters birthday. I didn't call ahead, but I figured a place named the Cupcake Factory wouldn't have a problem giving me 6 cupcakes either vanilla or chocolate with pink or purple buttercream frosting - well I was disappointed. They can't do "custom colors" for orders less than a dozen! Now I'm not sure when pink or purple became a custom color, but as defined by the Cupcake Factory they are "custom". So I decided to get 6 pre-made from the case...I can only guess 5 of the 6 I picked were destined for the rubbish bin if not purchased that day because they cake was horribly dry and the buttercream crumbled off the top. I regretted my special trip and wished I had spent 1/2 as much and gotten my "custom" pink color at Community Bakery (which I did by the way 2 days later for classroom cupcakes - called day of and got 2 dozen with my custom colors). $25/dozen cupcakes goes down a lot better when they taste they way they used to taste. I know they have expanded to do parties and serve lunch since opening, maybe that is why they have let their bakery business slip so much. I'm back to Kroger & Community Bakery because I'm sick of paying local bakeries over 2x's as much and getting inferior products time and time again. read more
